Reading guides won't help you as much as actual keying though. Each dungeon is different, even if you read a guide, you still need to practice the tricks by yourself, in an actual dungeon. So just go out there, be it 117 or not, and key a couple dungeons. Don't set an unreasonable goal like under 1hr, and just try and do everything. You'll eventually get better.

It's basically a dragon scimitar minus the quest requirements, and the slash/stab bonuses switched. This makes it very good against dragons, which are weak to stabbed, and it can train strength on stab, which not many weapons can do. Costs quite a bit though, similar to a whip in price.

You should buy a brackish blade if you want to kill some dragons and train str and the same time.

I don't see the system as dysfunctional. Those wrongly banned were reversed, and the admins have apologized. But those who's bans haven't been reversed, were deserved. But some people like to continue to bring it up as an unjust ban :rolleyes: Why would it have to be transparent. I mean, even in real life, such things aren't revealed to protect the USER'S privacy.

Yah smelting them into amulets then stringing them is pretty decent AFK value, in case you need to do homework or just want to watch some movies :thumbup:

Sell your BGS and buy an SS. Get a salve amulet (e), and camp zombie monkeys, armoured zombies, and anything undead w/o high defence. You can mix it up with slayer, but you will find it to be slower than training.

By that logic I can go and flame anyone for any reason at all; I did after all provide tip.it and its hundreds/thousands of users with detailed guides for 2 of the hardest puzzles in game and a whole myriad of other corrections and details across a good 70% or so of guides on the website. And by that logic all the staff are in no way in the wrong because their long-term contribution to tip.it vastly exceeds the odd guide here or there. But no, no-one has any right to at all. I averaged out to 15 ish minutes with Fast SC as well. In normal games, they last 20 minutes, plus 2 mins waiting time. Might want to mix it up because non combat SC could get pretty dull.

Ice warriors are cool. Kill them at the place where you kill the ice queen. With 80 melees, it goes by pretty fast. And FYI to above, I got to 52 summoning on gold charms, and it's not a bad choice if you don't have money for spirit shards straight up.

TIF had every right to leave Bladewing's guide up. I posted this on the other thread, but I'll post it here again. I think TIF should've just taken the high road. Clearly, the request to remove the guide was done out of spite, and the mods should've just let him be happy. Such a small issue, yet you guys are making this enormous deal out of it. I don't know what that says about you guys.... All those spam threads, too, like "guide to getting your guide deleted", "note to all guide writers". I thought you guys were better.

I personally think that trolling TIF with spam and porn wasn't the best idea, and those users should remain banned. I mean, post those things as a "parting shot", why couldn't just take the high road? Same to the mods on the issue of removing the guide, obviously the person was doing it out of spite, so just let him be happy and should've removed it. Anyways, kinda hard to say those things especially considering hindsight is always 20/20. So whatever the mods do now, just hope they make sure it'll be... better.

I agree, a year ago, you could just see the beginning of the trolling on the H&A threads. I also did try to oppose those who departed, but maybe it wasn't the best choice, but who knows.

The problem is, the party in question aren't protesting the deletion of spam. They agree that anyone can do that, it's just that when the moderators misconstrue advice as trolling/spamming, then they go to the argument that the moderators aren't active. But what if the advice was genuine, just the user did not know/ care about up to date methods? Like if someone asked for melee exp, the guy advises bandits, is that trolling? I don't think so, but from what I gathered from the "efficiency trolls" thread, it would be labled as. What astonishes me even more is when a guy asks "how should I make money with my stats?" and OP has like 30 dg, and gets responded with "get 85 dg and do frosts". That should also count as trolling shouldn't it, because it doesn't help the OP in any way. Truth is, it's hard to tell exactly which advice is trolling and which isn't. If you think a post is obviously trolling, then it should appear obvious to most people as well, and as a result, it gets ignored.

Exactly, instead of "I'm too tired to deal with stupidity so I'll just insult you instead". You can't really do much to improve H&A. Splitting into Efficiency and Fun is just a terrible idea, what if the question has nothing to do with either??? I mean, the least we can all do is to respect other posters and not insult them at the first sight of "wrong information".

If this is true, then I hope, for your sake, that you take note of the people who are migrating to your new board and watch them closely. I agree. Although it is nice of you to shed some light on this matter. I won't comment on whether or not the bans were "just". It was sad however some of those from your community decided to troll TIF to no end. EDIT: I just want to add when you want to leave, then just do that.
