  1. idk, i'd do this but with a farm patch (i still think cooking/fishing is a waste); but smithing the bars is SO slow so i don't think it's worth it. plus it's much better to use patches that you're already at (in GD's) than have to HT every time I agree smithing bars is VERY slow. Is superheat available in game? Idk. I'm talking about specific situations though, and most often, an altar is better. Tbh, I'm on the same page as myweapon, there really isn't much more to dissect, I mean, you're on the level of saying "you can lay 28 traps in 1 tick" or "humidify saves x ticks". Those are neat tricks, I agree, but for the majority, I doubt they take this into account when playing. Plus, you're on a perm team that has very good chemistry, and are very familiar with each others' skillsets. Most of the time, in a random team, it's very hard to individuals to just take up the responsibility of making pots or mining ores for ragers. Also, I just want to be clear that I have nothing against being efficient. I think it's neat that you guys put in this much work to play better. It's just posts like Green's really tick me off. A "lol" response to someone who is genuinely responding would put everyone off don't you think?
  2. Ginger_Warrior, what's wrong with putting the wilderness in all worlds? Why are you so selfish that you want all the worlds to be off limits for pkers?
  3. Btw, you don't need to catch god jadinkos for the top/bottom, only for the mask.
  4. Did you make this thread to laugh at all the people who don't dungeoneer like you do? But, to contribute, if there was an altar very close to the base, I usually build either a farming patch or a range. The farming patch is very convenient because it means I don't have to gs another patch, and the range burns ALOT less food with even a t4 log. My FM levels and cooking levels aren't that high to begin with. Of course, that is under the assumption the altar is close.
  5. If they considered the idea of keeping PvP worlds and letting the Wildy loose on those worlds, and just kept it simple for once, they'd satisfy everyone. In a way, the nature of poll sums up the typically nonchalant, blasé attitude Jagex takes to the execution of their updates. Being part of the 8% that opposes this currently, the dilemma I find myself in is that, actually, I agree Free Trade should be brought back in so long as botting can be controlled, and if Jagex say this can be done, and I have no evidence to the contrary, then I've got no good reason to keep Free Trade out. Why restrict people when there's no rational basis for doing so? The problem I have though, is that I'm vehemently opposed to bringing back PKing. Contrary to what some people on this thread may want to imply about anyone who opposes how the Wilderness once was, I played the game for two years before PKing was abolished, I actually did see what the Wilderness was like, and I cannot allow myself to stand by and allow immature, trollish e-gangsters to soil the general community and ruin the gaming experience yet again, no matter how promising Free Trade would be. On the other hand, if those people were kept on worlds away from those of us who want nothing to do with them, I really don't care what they can get up to. It's their life; but knowing Jagex, it's either all in or nothing at all - much like the way in which PKing and Free Trade was removed in the first place. Main issue is: I can't vote for Free Trade unless I also vote for PKing. Why can't I just vote for Free Trade? Actually pvp worlds wouldn't satisfy anyone, except yourself. Why do you want to limit pkers to just less than 10 worlds? That's pretty selfish IMO. And also, please stop GENERALISING people. Have you ever been in the wildy before? I'm seriously doubting that right now. Hardly everyone was "immature, trollish e-gangsters", in fact, I'd say they were a minority. Those type of pures don't last long, because after they get killed a couple times, they realize they aren't all that and start crying and then quitting. But if they are good at pking, then all the better to them. The majority of pkers weren't obnoxious, they were actually just as nice as the rest of the population, most were even nicer. I can make generalisations too btw. I hate all the skillers because all they do is qc their stats are start talking about how their cape is better than mine. They're so rude, and immature because they use 1337 speak. Point is, there's an equal amount of immature, trollish players from both camps, and an equal amount of mature players as well.
  6. Well ... most of us don't. I have 2 ... because my 1st is banned. Anyways as I said previous in the thread even if you remove the multiple accounts the vote will be at best 80-15-5 .. so it's still pretty much representative. Even if we like it or not .. we have to accept it without excuses ;( since there are 300+k votes and for a representative sample of 200m population you need less than 10k ... Well, i only have 4 accounts to which I remember the password  It's cool to see someone opposed to this actually accepting vote results without thinking its rigged or something. I accepted the changes 3 years ago without a vote at all, shocking, I know.
  7. Sometimes, even with nature runes added in, the bar will still sell for more than ores+nature rune. And that way, you don't have to waste time running between a furnace and a bank. AND you get magic exp! woop de da!
  8. Booooo Avs booooo. Go Wild and Oilers! I also am looking forward to the old wilderness
  9. Because people don't like losing their stuffs. I know how bad I felt when I got scammed off of 3m back in world 2 Falador. Really demoralizing. But you never let it happen again, did ya? Learning from your mistakes is very important, and that's what many of the mid level players who started after 07 don't have, experience. They don't know what it's like to lose your hard work to some pathetic scammer, but they also don't know how to deal with it; how we sucked it up and made sure to be extra careful in the future. I'm not saying scamming is a wonderful life lesson and you have to be scammed to learn, but I'm saying that if it happens to you, it should never happen again, and therefore, it won't be such a huge deal after a while. ^Nice picture btw, love the tears in his eyes
  10. N00b version: You need to spell cabbage like "KAH BAH GEE!" to go with the flow of the song
  11. ^ To the person conerning chaos tunnels, TT, armoured zombies, etc: The wilderness is NOT packed from lvl 1 to 56 with ancient mages ready to wtfpwn you. Pick a quiet world and you'll be pretty safe. Occasionally you'll get the odd pker within your level range, but you shouldn't be risking alot without a skull, and you should have adaquet food to run away.
  12. How is that hazing? But yes, always look on the bright side of life. That you were the victim of a rule breaker and came to terms with it does not make that any less of a rule break. I've been bit a couple of times when the loss was minimal, but it still teed me off. I made darn sure to report those I didn't fall for (happened way too often as a unid merchant). These weren't positive learning experiences and are not experiences I'd encourage others to enjoy. That said, I'm still for free trade and am happy with all the little warnings people people get. If you don't notice a big exclamation, or that you're paying millions for something worth 10 gp then my pity is limited. Not so much that I say the victim deserves it, but that jagex did all it reasonably could short of cutting off your ability to trade at all. The person breaking the rule still needs to be reported. As for being hacked, something tells me that's more a "giving friend my log in info" or downloading a bot program. Of course, with free trade coming back, such tactics will make a come back. Definitely an issue to consider. PS: You're using a different example of luring. Chasing bait in a PK situation is legitimate. The other situation with luring had to deal with tricking players into the wilderness, usually with trades. This eventually led to the "ditch". Of course theres the DK luring also. Problem was, people hear luring is illegal (wrt tricking people into the wilderness) and thought that meant other forms of luring were wrong (which they were not). I never said they were good experiences. Losing all my hard two-weeks work in a split second is not enjoyable. But they are learning experiences, and i've never made that mistake again. Acutally the getting hacked was going onto a site where they offered to put free items in my bank, it was pretty stupid, and I still can't believe I fell for it. Later that account i had was banned because they used it to advertise their site <_< Also, how is baiting not considered luring? If that isn't considered luring, then selling a spinach roll for 10m shouldn't be considered scamming either.
  13. Actually it would probably be easier to bring back the old wilderness and leave the new stuff in there. :shades: Also, clues and the abyss shouldn't even be relocated, they were there from the beginning.
  14. Haha, except now they've got other excuses. Like, "Oh no! They voted on multiple accounts!" :boohoo: It's not like skillers don't have multiple accounts. I thought everyone had more than one.
  15. I agree with you. It's not like every world is going to be packed with PKers in mid-deep wildy. Maybe they can just make the quest related items easily reobtainable. And outside that, there shouldn't be much equipment to lose since you're just going to wear dhides, a whip probably.
  16. I don't get why people are afraid of scamming. I'm sure most of us have all been scammed at the beginning of our runescape careers, be it armour trimming, swapping iron for rune, spinach rolls, or the "buying all rune item 111k!!!". I'm positive that almost all of us have stories similar to this one: "I mined coal for a couple weeks and managed to gather 20k. I saw a guy selling a rune long for 20k! I thought they were 30k so this was a pretty good deal. I traded with him excitedly, putting up my 20k and quickly pressed accept. The second window appeared and I pressed accept again, but only a split second before the window closed, I saw the words IRON LONGSWORD. DUN DUN DUN.... an iron longsword now sat in my inventory instead of 20k." Guess what happened since? I mined more coal, bought a rune scimitar and trained myself until I could finally use it. And now I've come this far, that loss of 20k was a very important experience. As well as being scammed, I've also been lured (chasing a guy with a rune (g) kite from castle up to bandits, then BOOM 20 mages pile me and I'm dead) which I lost full rune, which was quite a bit of my bank at the time, and I've also been hacked. You know those sites the advertisers gave in w1 varrock? Well, I learned they're fake! If someone cant' take a lure or a hack, then just chill out for a bit and come back.
  17. I agree with you.
  18. You could try mailing USD to them. It's 40 dollars for 6 months, and no records show up, except they'll send you a email.
  19. BANK SALE!!! Omfg nostalgia rush :)
  20. I'm sorry you can't use the wild as a safe place to do your slayer tasks or commodity the KBD anymore. I'm sure the wild was meant to be a place to afk, grind, and skill like the rest of runescape. Slayer tasks/KBD aren't in the wilderness. It helps to use examples that actually apply. I'm pretty sure trollz was replying to all those complaining about the dangers of going to CTs for tasks (nechs, dusties), or KBD as aspeeder said.
  21. Yup. I'm proud of what I have achieved so far, so do many others I think with their account. It is not fair that others (who RWT) don't have to work for their gp's. (well, not ingame ) This lessens the achievements of fair players. +1 to "Danqazmlp" post above. Your achievements (and mine, for that matter) already lessened because we don't RWT. But RWT exists at this very moment, so it's not like getting free trade back will make it that much worse.
  22. I hit 1000 total in f2p as well :shades: , that was almost 3 years ago. It's a good milestone! Get members too!
