Haha exactly. Although I'm in Beijing right now, and it's not that cold. I wear a jacket and a t-shirt while I see everyone else wearing 3 layers at least. I guess living in edmonton makes you immune to "cold" temperatures like -5. -20 ish is where it starts to get cold.

Sounds like a private server thing. It's a good idea, I'd love to be able to practice switching techniques without spending a whole bunch of money, but I don't think it's going to be added. It doesn't add anything to the game itself.

This is either a troll or some gigantic moron who has never used brawlers and yet thinks he's qualified to advise people on them. Gilded altaring bones is the generally accepted method of using brawlers- it's risk free and you DO get the bonus. Another method is grinding your bones and collecting slime on a non-pvp world and then ectoing them for a little more per bone. However, that wastes a whole lot of prep time and probably isn't worthwhile. If you check OP's stats, he's 62 construction. Which means he doesn't have a gilded altar in his house so it's probably for him to bury some bones. Or use a friend's but then it's not risk free anymore. Or train to 72 construction and boost for a gilded altar, either way works.

Oilers lost today, I'm happy because I know we won't make the playoffs this year, don't wanna get too carried away with winning then ending up with a 15th pick or something. Here's to hoping for some entertaining losing streaks, but first lets rock the Leafs!!

Watched Swing Kids a couple weeks ago, then How to Train a Dragon at a friend's house. Yesterday I had an 11 hour flight from Canada to China, so I watched the following: Diner Despicable Me Dinner for Schmucks Tales from a Golden Age Flipped The Other Guys. I really liked Diner and Flipped. Dinner for Schmucks I had already saw at a theatre, and Despicable me was ok, kinda sweet at times. Tales from a Golden Age was in Romanian (i think?) so I gave up after 50 minutes, and there was 30 minutes of The Other Guys I didn't get to finish, but it was halarious, Will Ferrell is AWESOME! Nothing like watching 6 movies in a row though :blink:

What do you do if you're frozen and the other player has on dhide? Also, if both are welfaring tribrid, range hits plenty enough.

The money generated in about 3-4 days was about the money climbers put into RS. Not many people had a stock of over 100 boots. Think realistically. Yes, some people had Tens of Thousands, but the average player, if all players are to be taken into account, had an extra 200k in his bank. Measly. PvP Statuettes were another Munich Crisis (Epic WWII Reference that only older people will get) from Jagex, catering to the players of utmost oppression, once again, and a big economic fail on their part. It doesn't matter what the average player gained in the climbers update, you have to look at the total amount of money put into the economy, that has nothing to do with averages. And I agree it's not the most contributing factor, 76king was a hundredfold worse.

5m 5 years ago was worth bloody much more than 100m nowadays. inflation is just crazy... I don't think so. 100M today is still worth a lot more than 5M five years ago, unless you're going to assume 2000% inflation in five years... 2000% is probably an underestimate tbh. I mean back then coal and lobsters were like the best money maker in the entire game and even then they were like 50k gp an hour at best. i don't recall coal/lobsters being the best money makers in the game, ever. They were better then, but they were never near the best. and i started playing RS when santas were around 200k gp/hour Merchanting was always the best way to make money I suppose? And you know when you're mind is filled with efficiency when you say santas are 200k gp/HOUR. lol :lol:

The PVP statues (even bigger problem back when people 76k'd all the time) and that climbers update put a LOT of money into the economy. Gravite and chaotic weapons don't drain as much. I'd still say construction is the biggest money drainer in the game. ^ isn't that because there's less demand for lower end equipment?

RS is a MMORPG after all right? There are plenty of relaxing conversations going around when you're woodcutting, so if you turn off public chat, you might miss it. Sure, you can use the ignore list, but then others who aren't ignored still ask that same question. The problem from which this rant stems is why people have to ask such questions and why they can't just accept that he's cutting willows. All of you are perfect examples of his rant, constantly going "but I don't understand why he cuts willows instead of ivy, they are the same thing!". If this problem didn't exist, he'd never have to use his ignore list at all, y'know what I mean? The problem isn't that he's too stupid to use an ignore list, the problem is that others must judge that he is cutting willows and not ivy.

What are you deciding to hybrid with? Mage/melee? Basically, welfare setups are mystic for mage, rune for melee and black dhide for range. Use broad bolts I guess, as rune brings up the cost by quite a lofty margin. I really suggest you tribrid, it's harder, but more intense although it does take quite a bit of practice. Personally, I love to tribrid but I don't have SS :mellow:

Nowhere in the original post is any claim made that willows are superior. It is stated as a preference. The rant is about the mindless denizens of Runescape who cannot handle anything that doesn't fit what they themselves have deemed as the best way, through statistics or mindlessly quoting someones guide or other personal preference - the mindless, omnipresent kibitzers who populate this game. and im saying the stupidity of the preference. The shape of the tree and the color of the logs make ALL the difference dont they? :rolleyes: [/sarcasm] Something like training melee with a whip instead of Dharrocks makes sense, as you have a lot more work with the latter even though its more efficient. However a preference on something like woodcutting makes no sense, as there isnt much variety in the skill anyways He set a goal to cut 10k of each log. That's why he's cutting it. It's his GOAL. You set a goal, then you achieve it.
