  1. Music fans are pretentious about. Ie, all of it? Mainly none, though.

Only to a 3, but I like doing it generally. When I wear hats, anyways. Maybe I'll keep the stupid hair, I dunno.

I want a new suit. And, to shave my head again.
  4. Rosetta Stone is fantastic. Get it.
  5. My dad's been doing it for months (think he's done the whole thing twice?). He dropped from 230 to 160, now he's right about 180, and benches 200. I did it for two weeks and noticed a difference, but then kinda petered out, half because I was already too tired at the end of the day, half because I couldn't spend about an hour and a half every day working out. It's a fantastic program, though. You don't really need the DVD, just have to know the regime.
  6. I've been ridiculously busy lately, and not able to do any full P90X workouts, which kind of sucks. But I've built this little ten minute regime that's already shown some results over the past weeks: 4 sets of curls (8 reps ea, 20 lbs) 4 sets of skull crushers (10 reps ea, 20 lbs) Ab Ripper 100 (5 minute P90X ab workout, I just do 100 crunches - 20 reg, 20 with knees to the left, 20 with knees 20 to the right, 10 superman crunches, 10 I guess reverse crunches? I lean off my bed and crunch, they're hard ... and 20 bicycles) Along with lots of running and climbing because me and my friends are stupid. I'm already getting more noticeable abs then I've had in a while, but eating a lot more healthily is contributing to that, along with growing. I really need to work on my chest and back though, and on my actual stomach. Right where my actual abs are is flat and nice and hard, but I have a little beer belly trying to grow around my belly button. Then, in my pelvis region I'm happy. What's a good workout for the actual tummy area? Chest and back are gonna be hard for me to do until I start doing real workouts, though. Kinda sucks. Oh well - I'm in far better shape than I thought I was, as evidenced by my outrunning friends in football. I haven't even seriously run in months. Just kinda felt like sharing. I know it's not particularly impressive by any standards here.
  7. India tried it, and it didn't work. They can't get people to use birth control, and India's government isn't powerful enough to force them.
  8. He's a cynical bastard, actually. And the flesh is faith - in whatever you believe in. Yourself, God, whatever. The vast majority of people are blobs. The bones are knowledge. If you know everything about everything, but can't empathize or feel passion for anything to truly have faith in something, you're all bones. Very few people are actually skeletons, because generally someone finds something to have blind faith in, even if it's just blind faith against something else. Now, a full body is a rare sight indeed. Dustin (the pastor friend) said Jesus, Mohammed, Gautama, generally all the great revered ones fulfilled these requirements to become bodies ... Or, holy.
  9. Jesus H. there is nothing I hate more than hour-long conversations on the phone or computer. Texting's okay, because you can just drop it and pick up the conversation later. Long conversations where you don't really have that ability leaves you with a chance of turning the conversation dull. I always hate when I can't liven up a conversation in person, and when it's on the phone, it's much more embarrassing to me. But, hey. Who am I to judge. I'm sure those sweet "I love you more! No I do!" conversations are fun if you're actually involved.

I'm really just better than other people because it's who I am. I don't hold it against anyone, though. Not their fault or mine.
  11. Dan Brown is one of the highest-paid authors today. Judging people for learning body language (of everyone) is just silly.
  12. Everyone wants closure. Christians want heaven. Physicists want their Theory of Everything. I talked with a pastor friend of mine that I really just met this weekend, and he generally despises religion. He sees dogma and faith as bones, and knowledge and education as flesh. Most people are either skeletons or blobs of meat. There's hardly anything that forms a body any more. I'm tired of religious [cabbage] anyways. I don't even know why I said anything here.

My essay for our state english test a few weeks ago was one elongated joke. I hope I didn't fail.
  14. About 50% of my school is Mexican, and then 15% or so black, with the rest white. Well, there might be 2% asians, but whatever. About half the mexican kids are thugs and little [cabbage]s, and probably more of a portion of the black kids. The other portion, usually good folks. Can't group people except vaguely. Vague stereotypes hold very true here, though, and can save your [wagon]. It's easy to consider people racist when you're living in a suburban home and know three or four minorities who act exactly the same as you. My school's diverse in a bad way.
  15. I would be interested in minoring in psychology or philosophy ... Or both. I just find the study of folks interesting. Well, I find many things interesting. But majoring would be boring.

    I'M GONNA BE AN UNCLE!
  17. Haha, a lot of kids at the school have started calling all the thug mexican and black kids that just sit at school all day and fight or smoke "brown folks" as a general thing, since about half the school's mexican, so it's hard to differentiate in conversation.
  18. School those kids in real music. ... Rise Against is good music? Revelation: i dislike people who consider any music better than any other. Of course, I'm a complete pretentious [puncture] when it comes to music - I'll tell people an artist sucks just because I like when people get mad about it. Even if i like them.
  19. All that [cabbage] was banned in my elementary school. We did it anyways. It's playing for the parents. Also, being underweight is just as much of a problem here as being overweight. Pretty sure plenty of the folks here have no room to speak either way. Edit: son of a [bleep]
  20. Long? It's like 200 pages. The Game's for folks who have trouble even conceiving anything beyond their little bubble of inadequacy. It reveals that, yes, a little nerdy dude can become that badass and get any girl he wants. If you need actual advice, there are far better places. Honestly, though, that gives plenty of base knowledge. You'll want to look more into general psychology, sociology and general social dynamics stuff if you want to get more in-depth. Nowadays all the canned routines and whatever have been plenty overused, so it's better to learn to just play off your environment.
  21. We have a zero tolerance policy, but nobody really cares, teachers or students. Just know when to do it - namely, not when something important is going down. That goes for texting period. I have important [cabbage] to say sometimes. Gotta make plans.
  22. Pretentiousness is probably the most annoying form of stupidity.
  23. Lenticular_J replied to Leoo's topic in Off-Topic
And when you consider that it's regularly below zero here in Lubbock in winter, which is a lower latitude than even San Diego, plus it isn't uncommon for it to be 105 degrees here in the summer - higher when you get more north in the panhandle. Latitude lies.
  24. I have [cabbage] memorized from Third Eye Blind, NeverShoutNever, Jack Johnson, John Mayer, Sugarhill Gang, and the All-American Rejects. To name a few. That's mostly what me and my friends play when we hang out. And, well ....
  25. Well, 4chan making the white house proclaim a national state of emergency on facebook wouldn't be the best thing.
