  1. Everyone plays RS for a different reason. Therefore, everyone's goals are different and beating the game means something different to each person. In my opinion, you can't really beat a game like Runescape, even when you've maxed out everything, there's still stuff to do...
  2. Usually had four times as many loops as teeth. Maybe they are more common :-s
  3. Writing this random thing for fun, whenever I have time. First time posting something on TIF so any C&C would be greatly appreciated. : ----------------------------------- While exploring a dungeon with his friends, a young mage finds an odd tome that belonged to a powerful man named Cyrn. The tome grants the boy mysterious powers, gradually entwining him with a sinister plot the programmers at JaGEx know nothing about. ------------------------------------ Chapter One ÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Ãâ Dungeon ÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâ¦Ã¢â¬ÅCome on, Roak! 4. Five years... I can't believe it either.
  5. Actually, I don't think ectophial would work as an example. :
  6. Maybe show it on people's high score page but not try and rank them?
  7. I wanted to have a page-blog-thing all to myself so I decided to start this blog. I feel dwarfed by all the other hardcore levelers out there, though. Ah well, do what you can I guess. Welcome to Iggy's Bug Supa Awesome Blog of Awesomeness!! Well, many of you probably have no idea who I am, so let me tell you a bit about myself. I first started playing Runescape in 2002 when one of my friends introduced it. It was just another online game back then so I eventually got bored and stopped playing. A year later I returned and made a new account, Ignite 168. I wanted it to be a superheat smith or something like that. While looking for drop parties I found out about the Order of Cabbage. Joined it, and met tons of awesome people. Even became Elder and led it for a year or so. I started p2p because of farming. Life became busy so I canceled membership resigned as Elder. Started RS again and renewed membership, but the OoC's doing fine without me so I won't bother them that much. And here I am now, writing in this blog. Stats As of May 22nd: Combat Level: 86 Currently: Crafting Laws, Pyramid Plundering... Short Term Goals 63/65 Runecrafting 87/91 Thieving 76/80 Magic 60+ All skills Keep Up the Quest Cape Dragon Set: [Med] [Chain Body] [Plate Legs] [square] Really Long Term Goals 99 Thieving 75,91 Runecrafting 87,94,99 Magic 70,80,90,99 Agility  ? 70+ All skills Completed Achievement Diary Third Age Amulet Write an Article for Tip.it Times :P Finished Goals Quest Cape @ Level 84, Dec 06/Jan 07? Most Recent Level Ups - May 24/25 - May 24 [hide=Previous Level Ups]None, but I've learned how to made these hidden messages!!!!![/hide] Bank Pic Is somewhere... And that's all I have for now... I'll add more later.
  8. 99 runecrafting for me. Then I'd use it to make enough money to buy any rare I wanted. =\
  9. I did the quest at level 86 using rune armor, whip and obby shield and it was easy. I used tuna potatoes as food and a dose of attack and defense potion (I don't carry sharks or super sets with me). I had plenty of food left. I'm really confused at all the lvl 90+ who said they had trouble with this quest... :-k Saying the cb requirement Well, at first I was going to keep my level at 85 (ironically a quest reward bumped it to 86) and hope that there wouldn't be any need for fighting (I don't play RS to kill things, thank you) but the new cb requirement was like a wake-up call for me. Even if I decide not to look for combat, combat will eventually come and find me, whether I'm prepared or not. There was an excellent comment made by Zoidnerd which I completely agree with: Stronger warriors will eventually be called upon to tackle new quests. While there wasn't really any point in having a combat requirement in this particular quest, Questers should understand that JaGEx is going to want to release some "challenging" quests with higher requirements. Quests aren't designed for skillers or fighters, they are for everybody and are designed to have variety. --------------------------------------------------- On a slight tangent here... What I really want is a Master Cape that you get for getting 99s in all your skills, having all quests complete, and having achievement diary complete. Now that's something to aim for.
  10. I'd have to say that the Light Temple is the worst... was pretty frustrating... All of Morytania would be my second. It's so dead and lifeless... Scariest would be Isfadar, and the maze under Sophanem (from the quest Contact). They're not scary in the sense that monsters will come kill me, but the traps just make me paranoid.
  11. Assuming that the snake is a kilometer away, it wouldn't have any motivation to kill you. In fact, it probably can't even see you. If you don't move, you'll probably die of thirst, or hunger or some other thing. What is the difference between a tree and a gooseberry?
  12. Maybe, maybe. Anyways, I'm curious to see if a rival group will manage to contend with the long standing guardians of the stile.
  13. Smithie! How did you get the graph of your stats? :o
  14. I'm interested in the Commentator position but could I have some more information first? I'm p2p by the way.
  15. Under List of Spells, the spell "Hunter Kit" is listed as using: 2 astral 1 law 2 cosmic it should be: 2 astral 2 earth (PS. Runescape's own Knowledge base has errors in the casting costs as well...) ------------------------------------------------- Also, it should be mentioned that the spell "Spellbook Swap" only lasts until a spell is cast from the new spellbook. (or until 2 minutes is up from what I hear on the forum?) I don't have 96 magic, so I can't test it out, but for sure it only lasts for one cast. [Wizard111111 - Changes made, I meant to put in about one spell swap but forgot  ]
  16. Well, if the alternative is not getting anything at all, sure, I guess I'd be happy to hear the opinions of other readers. EDIT: If need be, how about put together a few more guest articles. I'm sure there are plenty with an acceptable quality.
  17. Didn't some person trade an egg or something a while back? Yep. Mario Sunny started it all I believe. That was followed by at least 4 other threads doing the same thing. And now this one It was staretd when someone traded a paperclip for items until he had enough to buy a house, in the US. People on rs decided to copy it in game after that. Oi, the guy was from BC, (Canada!) and traded his way from a red paper clip to a house in Kipling, Saskatchewan (also in Canada :P). I was gonna do it with cabbage though, but why would I want to trade that away. :-k
  18. Never knew you could make multiple lyres. My POH is in Relleka so it's mighty useful when I'm on a different spellbook to just lyre to my house and use the teleports there. (Haven't gotten any tablets yet) I'll make a few more now, thanks!
  19. I support! I hate typing all those numbers... Oh and the scroll lock would be useful in busy locations even when you're not trying to report someone :P
  20. I like it. Maybe fit a calculator and spreadsheet in there too. \
  21. "^_^" As cool as this idea is, I'd have to go against it. - In certain quests where npcs teleport off to no discernible location. Did they all go to Varrock? - Many of the animations don't really look like teleportation. They're more like skill cape emoticons, most even more elaborate than them. - The animations seem long...... - Do random events get new teleports too? I like the current ones, they're simple and you can tell which spell book they have.
  22. Ignite 168 was supposed to be a superheat smith, thus "Ignite". Added "168" at the end because they are lucky numbers. :P Never got around to superheating much though... :XD:
  23. It's probably the people you've met, the goals that you've already achieved and the goals that you still have yet to achieve that make people keep coming back. As well, you've put so much time into your character that it's sort of become part of you. I mean, if someone shouted "Iggy" in real life, I'd probably turn and see who called. -.-
  24. Hehe, I can thieve them for free. Good places for talismans and tiaras, in my opinion. I lost my air talisman back in the day. Not too rare, but useful.
  25. More like Erikson's stage's. Don't think you could apply Freud's stages to Runescape. How about... - Getting used to RS environment (Click to walk...) - Learning to manipulate RS environment on own (I can mine clay!) - Realization of 'others' in society (omigosh, there are people like me playing those characters?!?) - Learning from others through observation (What's a n00b?) - Strive for superiority over others/ copying others (Yoor a noob!) - Testing moral boundaries in new society (Argh stop closing the door!) - Strive for status/identity in RS community (Join pk clans, Tip.it etc.) - Develop connections with other players - Develops maturity over time when they realize calling everybody noobs isn't very helpful in society - Really strong social connections within game - As they mature they may become leaders or high social figures in society. - The stages from the "Real life" ladder interfere and kick you off this ladder ;) Of course throughout the way, it's assumed you have the desire for character improvement (skilling) and material wealth (gp, phats etc) as well... Meh, that's just some random stuff... some of the stages kinda overlap or don't make sense... any thoughts?
