  1. Ess is really quite profitable at the moment. Some other common moneymakers for members are general colelcting skills, wc, fish and the like, slayer (even at lower levels the mosnters tend to drop realyl good herbs quite often and the occasional mystic peice), runecrafting (especially 44+, or you can use assist), collecting herb or summoning seconds to sell, in fact most activities in p2p will make you more than 20k a day, you can probably find that lying at the ge floor on any world right now :s I'd go for ess for now though: can't go wrong. Or use some of those feathers to fish ;) -biased fish fanatic-
  2. Well, having higher defence than their attack leel is where it gets noticable, so 41 def. As for being outcompeted, it won't have been attack style: just equipment, pots, prayer, and luck (also if you were taking the damage and having to eat, theres some attack turns missed). I don't know quite what you mean by "anti pure", there's tank accs that have very high defence and (usually) ranged, but as far as i know theyre only realyl effective in members, and at high levels. Imo you should get str nice and high early on regardless of being a pure or not. It's just, a good game plan.
  3. Get members ASAP. If i made a new acc, he'd be members at lvl 3 with lvl 1 in all but hp. At -every- level, members has a better way to do pretty much everything, less competition, more resources, it's just...better. Of course if you like f2p, go for it, but if you ever plan on getting members i reccomend NOW. It's been a loong long long long time, but i imagine you could do Lost City at lvl 60 if you prepped right and safespotted. If you go back to f2p you lose nothing: No levels, xp, POH, anything - just something funky happens with the bank capicity which can be annoying if you dont sell off all your members stuff before reverting back to f2p. At lvl 60 i doubt you'd manage Monkry Madness as a first time member (it's very possible, i've seen people do it, but without prior good knowledge of the quest and all options available to you it'll be a little too hard i think), but you should be okay with lost city; and yes you need the quests in order to weild the weps.
  4. Far from my area of expertise, but i imagine it's because: - Thry've been worth less than GE price for some time, the GE is just weird in how it changes prices, now things have started moving they will probably drop for some time (then inevitably [bleep]e back up as merchanters lay their hands on them) - There are more expensive items to buy in recent times, the new shields etc plus summoning costs, means people have other expensive things to buy, causing less demand - Less RWT = Less people with a really huge pile of cash (at a push) - It's just a precarious market in general with things like this, very shakey. I remember the time Blues shot from near 50m to near 500m almost overnight, then stayed there for a long long time, it's just a funky market. That's my guess anyway, others can probably add something more concrete.
  5. What's your weight at? You will lose energy fast regardless as you're running a lot, my advice is to wear the best hybrid armour you can whilst keeping your weight under 0kg.
  6. What do you mean exactly? If you want sharks, then now obviously. If you want xp, never. What do you mean by good? I can tell you they're still slow as hell at 99, if that helps..
  7. I've never used a sgs in my life, and for slayer i've never ever needed to: so in my opinion stick with your assault boosts that bandos and dfs give, with familiar support.
  8. Str + att + range, equal split :P
  9. If you can get into the whirlpool , you can get them as a task. If you can't get into the whirlpool, i'm not sure. I've not had a task of them in a LOT more than 60 tasks, but i have friends who've had plenty.
  10. Do big bones. Seriously, i don't care how dedicated you are, after fm as well, burying 90 regular bones you will weep with RSI, and your motivation will brickwall. Do rc first, you might make up the cash you need.
  11. 875k and dropping, and it's not useful for anything really, other than pking in some peoples opinion. For training, don't bother with it.
  12. I'm not sure if ROW actually affects, because i think they only have the one rare drop, however spiritual mages are so weak that i doubt you will even notice the 4 less bonus you would get from any other ring, so i'd go ahead and use row just in case. That's just my opinion, it's really down to personal preferance with things like this.

They're like shields with assault bonuses in game. Generally give a small amount of def but healthy attack bonuses, you'll find the attack bonuses outweigh any lost defence in the vast majority of circumstances. Also, they are "free", which plays a part.
  14. If you already have everything you need, then hell yes you should do it. My advice also is to never sell the fish the ibis has gotten you, until you've reached your goal. It might feel like it's not all that helpful at times, but trust me, once you hit your goal you'll realise just how much more xp and cash that lil guy is getting you. Lobster is ofc better, depends really - but if you enjoy summoning, it's better to get it before rather than after. 74 is quite a trip though.
  15. Xp and cash are both actually quite close at 99 fishing. For earlier levels, lobbies are probably better xp and cash, though i can't really test for you, and prices where so much different back when i was lower level. My advice is to do lobsters, from the choices. As for the gloves, i do not know for sure, however i'm pretty sure the time spent fogging will make it slower overall in every respect. So unless you really enjoy fog, and would be doing it anyway, don't bother with the gloves.
  16. Imo yes. You may feel like you just wasted 500k, but think how much it could be potentially saving you. Of course, if you never had a situation where you cannot get back in 5 minutes, or can in under 4, it may feel like 500k wasted, but an extra minute can be invaluable. It could save you an AWFUL lot of money. Unless 500k is a lot of cash for you, i'd go for it. It's not something you'll see a difference with in your day to day gaming, but imagine you died and got back to see your 4 minute grave disappear right as you get there, with your full bandos along with it. You'd kick yourself for not dishing out 500k. It's really up to you, but i'll always advise it be done asap.
  17. Yes he's in edgeville dungeon. No, the monster you're going to kill very likely won't be in there, but you shouldn't be assigned anything you're unable to access, and he gives low-ish levelled tasks, so you shouldn't have any problems.
  18. What browser+version do you use, what firewall do you use, and are you malware free?
  19. Yeah, but in the end it's only the more severe offences (permanant mutes and long bans) that really would make people stop playing. If you're in the green zone, you'll get maybe a 3 day temp mute and a slither of black marks, nothing detrimental. If you're in the red zone, then jagex will sort you out faster because you migth stop iging them your money since you're perm muted. It's only when your marks rack up into something potentially nastier for you they'll let you clean your record (and your marks will disappear with time, so if you're good you'll have a clean slate without even ding anything). That's how Jagex thinks anyway, they cant "bring justice" to everybody, there are too many reprots, so they're streamlining it.
  20. You know why you where muted, and yes the system really is that sensitive. Doesn't take much if you get reported. Afaik, deferred means - it's appealable, but not yet. The mark will stay there until you collect more, then enter the "yellow zone". Once you're in that zone you can subsequently appeal all of your marks that you have accumulated. All part of the newe sytem. P mod muted do happen immediately, so i don't think it was a p mod that muted you. It could have been an indirect result though, say, the p mod reported you though it was an actual j mod that put the mute on your account. And yeah, they come way after the event. I tend to get each nice selection of mutes and bans at the same time, spread out over about 3 months. Stuff i don't even remember and they all come along at once, but are dated to the day they are sent to you, not the day they are reported.
  21. about:blank it's pretty much the same as google though, since ff has that handy search bar up there. Both the sites mentioned in the poll have bookmarks though.
  22. Nope you can't. Or couldn't, mayeb they changed it. But you never used to be able to. It's in the KB actually.

1 - Dungeon specific rooms, such as corridors and oubilette can only be build udnerground. Gardens only on the middle level, anythign else is pretty much free to go wherever you like. 2 - Yes, it's an udnerground-only room that can be built udner the throne room, and yes the trap door drops into it. 3 - The fun, and the xp, that's about it. Dungeon doors are the best training, otherwise there's not much use. I've never has a treasure room, but as i understand it you just put cash in the chest (5k limit i think, maybe 3k), and it stays there until somebody comes along and takes it out. So your job is to make your dungeon tough enough to make it so they won't get there and take your money. 4 - Obviously the higher the better! But yes you can make a fairly nice dungeon with 70, especially with al lthe boosts availible. Just be careful with your cash: remember you migth not want to spend a few mill on a monster only to want a different one once you unlock it, for example.
  24. Perfect run involves looting every single chest you can along the way, every urn in your second highest and highest room, then if you have tiem the sarcophagus there.
