  1. That damage really adds up over time, meaning you have to spend a lot more time wearing guthans, slowing down your kills. Just take 2 anti 4's, if you have guthans inv space isn't an issue as they drop naff all.
  2. I do miss the days when it was great, the time right after the abyss was released, but right before the essence split, was like it was raining money. Oh well. I guess it was only a mtter of time, and i'm sure one day RC will be like, say, crafting or smithing, where you used to be able to make a packet, but no more. That's just how it goes i guess. For obvious reasons i don't think laws will remain so strong much longer. But heck, if we break even rcing, even that is one hell of a lot better than most skills allow. It's not dead, but it's certainly choking. Not the moneymaker it used to be, but still one of the best SKILLBASED cashmakers out there in some respects, though not the best for the most part anymore. Not many skills you can make a fairly healthy profit off at 44, especially skills like rc that convert something into something else. I was kind of surprised to be honest, i expected a slight jump in the price of natures, since infinity is becoming really popular again (now we have hair), i though all the MTA runes would have a slight boost for a week or two. Clearly not :/ RC is far, far from dead, or if it is dead then smithing, crafting, herblore, are all in their 18th reincarnation just deceased, we'll never get the old runecrafting back, but what we have is good enough. On that note, i still think ess needs to be merged again. Sure, it would all balance out and we'd have cheaper nats to account for most of the cheaper ess, but to be honest it's pointless being there anymore, f2p would love it, p2p would love it, seems kinda silly that it still exists really. Not dead, just more popular. On a trivial note, to show how things have changed: When the abyss was first released, my runecrafting rank was in the 900's. I was hovering between 990 - 1000. I was level 75. Now look where level 75 gets you. Time have changed, and it's obvious why the market is as it is. :s Less pures training mage thanks to wildy, graahk, increased rc popularity, p ess, more ihgh level runes, pouches, abyss, lots of guides on strategy, more mage training methods available, so many things added up over time to really own rc profits, but so long as we break even we're still in the green area as i see it. Just remember (and im sure some people will shoot me for saying this, as it's not helping the problem), rs is like any other transformation skill, most of which will cost you 10's of mills for a decently fast method. Rc has zmi, best yet, and you profit. I'd say rc is still going strong, even if it isn't what it once was.
  3. I had trouble with this one the first time. Go to the observatory obviously, the top floor, you'll see the top of the telescope, then do your emote all around on that floor. Just tryevery square and you'll get it.
  4. Take one of each god item to GWD, some ropes, food, a hammer, and a grapple/crossbow and a tele out. Go there, and wander round. Nothing will be aggressive but boss monsters (and you wont hit one of those by accident the doors are pretty obvious). Just wanted round and take the place in, and you'll realise there's nothing really to be afraid of. Go to any LS world and hang around outside the boss chambers and watch teams, you'll see how easy it is.
  5. Just do monks all the way, they're the best of both worlds. Don't bother with gloves unless you hate fishing. Always use the best familiar you can. Sharks are more money but horrible xp, monksare less cash MUCH faster xp. When you realise none of them are particularly good cash, monks are probably smartest.
  6. Yeah my figure on c bow was mroe of an informed guess, might want to wait for somebody who actually does it for a little more accuracy. 80-100 sounds about right though. For metals you want obviously your mage boosting gear, antifire shield, some emergancy food, antifire potions and runes for the spell. (hatchet and coins to get in ofc), maybe a p pot for emergancies but that's no necessary. Ring of wealth and you're set. I'd take 4 antifires and 4 sharks, then after a run or two fiddle with the exact numbers. Difeerent for everybody depending on lvls + equipment.
  7. aah mith is f2p, lumby swamp then since there's coal, if you just want mith then crandor.
  8. 1.Best f2p place to mine Mith Can't 2.Best p2p to mine place Mith Lots of places: Lumby swamp is nice, the new tzhaar place is nice (need the quest), mining guild. If i had to, i'd use the tzhaar place, it's basically the same as draynor just less competition. 3.How many blue drags can I kill with 1 full crystal bow Hard to say, i would guess around 80 or so, give or take, very dependant on level and equipment, i've never done this specifically so this really is a guess but i don't think it'll be too far off, and this estimate is probably low. 4.How much money will I make per d-hide/Bones 2,049 for a blue hide (2,211 if you tan them), 2,345 for d bones, 5.Im not 70 but if I had 70 smith what should I smith--Awnsered The best bolts you can to 99 is usually the most efficient way, blast furnace smelting your own ores for less loss. 6.How much money will I make if I buy a steel bar/make is into cannonballs and sell and sell the cannonballs 127 gp per bar 8. Could a mage pure, mage at metal dragons? I suppose so, pretty much the only req is an anti dragon shield. Just be careful.
  9. Indeed, there's no special trick to it that hasn't already been said, it's just really annoyingly rare.
  10. If you have everything you need, hell yes. Sooner the better: not even just for this task, you'll love them if you're doing slayer.
  11. Good idea, but isn't really practical. You lose too much time faffing around with it.
  12. Don't know his rsn
  13. If you have the req, nechs might give you better return than mummies, and a lot of crimsons. I'm not sure how xp rates compare, but it'll probably be slightly slower than mummies. I'll dig the numbers up if i can find them, i know i saw them somewhere.
  14. Slayer, or head down to something dow in the SOS. It's only one level, won't take long no matter what so...
  15. the thing..is all...thing...
  16. not really aberant specs drop like 2 each kill even with a 200% drop rate (it's much less in reality) that's still something like 40k kills... Either way, at a very rough guess i'd say in the 30-40m region, selling back, and using every herb above irit. An about 3 years. Meaning even if i worked it out to the 1 gp, by the time you got there prices will mroe than likely be radically different.
  17. sheep mask *cries* p.s. lots of items are worth less than their GE price, take phats, gold bars etc. If you wanna buy them it's easy enough, but you'll have to overpay on what theyre worth, otherwise add junk. Say a blue phat is 500m, but theyre worth 400. You can pay 400m and 100m of junk. Junk trading works both ways thanks to idiotic price floors.
  18. Bug i've heard reported a few times, sometimes familiars / pets out cause it to become poisoned. I don't think we really kno why, just a bug, but i've heard it here quite often.
  19. Aah but you can sell them to buy lower levelled herbs ;) Otherwise try banshees, cave crawlers (anti p heads up), and chaos druids to name but a few.
  20. upload a screenie of it? no excel / openoffice / anything on this box, but if you upload a screenie i'll take a peek.
  21. But if he can get 400k right now, and that doesn't happen until they're worth 100k >.> you can't count on Jagex to keep up to date with prices.
  22. Flail has a prayer bonus over that of hams, essentially cancelling out the difference of hving a 10% prayer on. Aah well each to their own. Good luck.
  23. GET RINGS@@@ seriously. You will fall in love with them. I bought in this order, and would again: - Helmet - Rings - Cancelling tasks Boguht bolts ability when i had 100 poitns more than the req and i'd do the same again You will be so grateful for rings.
  24. I wouldn't bother with guthans, just bank when you're out of food (very fast banking time there). If you must, still pro mage. If you're still wondering, have a quick search - waterfiends are VERY common crimson charm droppers, and therefore you'll most likely find a LOT of guides to killing them that works everything out better. If you don't wanna drop lots of cash, flail > hams (stick 15% str on).
  25. Well i haven't mines ess for about 4 years, but from what i remember with speeds it would be considerably faster cash than sharks with prices as they are these days.
