  1. ^ that, other wise you'll end up with a heck of a load of shards left over after trading in, and end up selling them cheaply, just but what you need whilst accounting for trade-ins, plus a few extra to stop you haveing to make a million trips. Unless you haev a long term summoning goal, then the more the merrier. Also double check you can trade in the pouches you're making at your level, whatever they are
  2. Anybody really bored wanna help me through the door? -tears hair out-
  3. At what level can i trade in swamp titan pouches for shards at Gu'Tanoth?
  4. I've never heard of that map for you though: http://www.tip.it/runescape/?page=ancie ... on_map.htm
  5. You don't get thieving xp for sarcophagi. You do, however, get a teeny bit of str xp (from about 50-300 depending on the room i think). Chests DO net you thief xp, and are garunteed to open, as well as a chance as a sceptre, so i always hit those when leaving a room. I avoid sarcophagi, unless i'm at the end of my trip with a little time to spare - may as well shoot for a sceptre if i've already done all i can ;)
  6. I don't know about any guides, but in a nutshell: Whe nyou did WGS, do you remember those two key halves you took from Moravio's base? (you can go back and get them if you lost them). If you run up to a mithril dragon and use them on it, it will turn into a completed key. This will allow you to open the mithril door (top level inside the mith dragon lair place, towards the west-ish wall). Inside the mithril door, there are 3 big dragon heads. Cast afire wave on each and they will each move to the middle. You just activated the dragon forge. Then, you can run around to the actual furnace/anvils itself (on the lower level, run to the south west, and there's some crumbly steps, it's up those. You can then smit ha dragon platebody there once the forge has been activated, from the 3 dragon peices. To smith it, you'll have to use this forge, and also a special hammer which can be bought from the blast furnace head-man for 1m. You'll obvsiouly want stuff to keep alive down there, and fire wave runes.
  7. Eh, so-so. It really does add up, but it's fast either way. Since you can't hack the fast-paced bandit style training, it could be better for YOU personally, to keep motivated, to do it in pulses using the slower bank. That's something to decide for yourself, but the sceptre method is wuite a bit faster. My advice in this case, is the use that bank until you begin to feel impatient, then switch to the faster sceptre method to keep your motivation up :3 I don't have any raw data, but it's definitely much faster, but also much higher paced and concentratino draining (i personalyl cant keep that up for long - i do the slower method just out of clinging to my sanity). More or less what i do: Loot chests only all the way up to 2nd highest room. Loot all urns (no searching) Loot that chest, then change room. Loot all urns, loot the chest, if you have time get the sarchophagus, but don't expect to.
  8. You'll want weight reducing gear like you said. Otherwise, it depends how you're doing this. Are you looting sarcophagi and golden chests? (personally i loot the chests since theyre instant, garunteed 1 click). If yes, consider some lightweight armour for the scarabs and mummies. If no, then you'll be fine without UNLESS there's lots of people (in which case, change world). You'll want a Super anti poison, a sceptre, a teleport out (duel ring / glory, a bank teleport essentially). In your bank have a stockpile of some thingers to recharge your sceptre with. Use a bunyip if you can. 1 or 2 super energy pots (you could go with a terrorbird in lieu of bunyip, and use more food, but i'd find that too awkward). Don't use a lockpick. When you go through doros the chatbox will spam you with that reccomendation: but don't. You get more xp without, with a basically unnoticable change in success rates. Maybe so maybe no, you won't need a lot of food, but you'll probably need some. Regardless, you want emergancy food (4 or 5 pineapple pizzas ftw). It changes depending on level, if you just get access to a new room you'll need more food than as you're nearing the req to the next room, but they fly by so quicklyyou don't even have that much time to adjust strategy much. Wing it, it'll change as you level up, but pineapple pizzas are your friends. I think so, but don't use it. All it does is make the doors change faster, and more scarabs and mummies all over the place. edit: cleaned up a little, i origionally said about using gold things for sceptre recharge which isn't necessary, can be done much cheaper with cheaper things. slip of the fingers :P
  9. Obviously your question has been answered, but for the sake of curiousity, anybody reading, and also anybody i the future searching for this, heres a list of things that give you immunity: http://www.tip.it/runescape/?page=god_wars_dungeon.htm
  10. Pure set = Super attack potion, and a Suoper strength potion Super set = pure set + super def pot
  11. I'm pretty sure you can have more. Ive got a friend who says he has 25 tools. It's only, if you HAD more, they got reverted. Precisely. I have more than 10 tools, and more than 200 points.
  12. Untrue, as far as i know theres no cap on tools you can have, and the points cap (which probably exists) is defnitely higher than 3k
  13. Your stats are solid, read some guides and good luck ;) There's a couple good guides in the archive of wisdom section of this message board.
  14. Actually i do go to boss monsters with my bro and friends(they are high combat...)... Then get 70 and do kings ransom. It's one of those things you only have to do once, but you'll use it for the rest of your rs career. In fact, for all itnents and purposes you'll have maxed out prayer, and won't need to touch it again until you're shooting for 138 or something. Prayer is incredibly powerful for the work needed, get it sooner rather than later.

    Spells

What elder said, there are one or two cases where certain elemental spells are preferable, i think the only case of it in f2p is the elemental wizards by malignus mortifier, are weakest to the spell that is opposite to them. For the most part, higher level = better, regardless of element.
  16. Nearly everybody pray tanks them. I personally however, go for high mage def and pineapple pizzas. Yes, it takes 3 trips or so per task, but there's a tele not 15 seconds run away so >_O cheaper, and you're not juggling herb drops.
  17. Barely anybody has a problem with prayers other than the 3 overhead protection prayer. They fall into 2 camps: 1) people who think, they're there, so you should use them, and quit whining because peopel are using their skills against you 2) people who think that, because the rprayers are so powerful, it's just less fun. Simply, 43 prayer is easy to get. It removes a LOT of damage: if both people use pro melee, it makes you both hit a lot lot less. Meaning it pretty much just ends up you both rarely hitting ,safing, wasting food, with not a lot of danger to anybody. It's just not fun. My opinion: So, if you're willingly entering combat, use prayers only when they do, or you'll be there all day and it's no fun. If you're being assaulted unwillingly, pray your butt off.
  18. Regen brace is better than combat :P Fair enough, learn a new thing everyday :P In whcih case: Hell yeah, why wouldn't you get it? o_O What's stopping you?
  19. 1) DO RFD. No, seriously. You hate quests? Get over it, jsut suck it up, Won't take long, you'l lthank yourself. If you flat out refuse, then idk. Canyou use combat bracelet? That's popular, i'm not really well versed in these things though, but look into it.
  20. Depends what for, it's very very specific scenario usage >_O If your net worth is <10m i'd say hell no
  21. doesnt gs add more str than ss? Yes, but SS attacks faster: in the end it averages out that SS is considerably faster than GS for xp on the VAST vast majority of monsters, about equal to a whip+defender.
  22. I've never found them to consistantly pay back my expenses. Sometimes they do, sometimes they don't, you're basically hoping to get lucky with rune chain drops. I imagine on average you'd come out with a loss.
