  1. Some of the later ones aren't bad, the rat one made me chuckle actually. Most of the older ones either look very fake and poorly-made, have quality issues or just aren't that funny at all. Overall though, not bad.
  2. Agreed. I also think it's a bit monotone, although that isn't the biggest problem in this case since you picked a good main colour. You could try blurring the choppy edge of the render in the top right slightly, it's quite distracting at the moment. Once again, I'd also get rid of the border, it kind of cuts the flow off too suddenly if that makes sense. Nice job though, you've really improved a lot.
  3. Looks really good, though the rain is bothering me. It just doesn't seem very realistic, not sure why. I don't think you should add a lot of other things to it, keep it like this. I really like it, it has a great atmosphere to it.
  4. Self-promotion, much? Not really, it's just that it's a lot quicker than posting links to all of the tutorials that can easily be found in my favourites. And from my experience, that's necessary because the really good tutorials are sometimes hard to find on dA.
  5. Yep. I wish I had thought of posting it earlier though, I think The Gallery could benefit a lot from my favourites link.

  7. Get rid of border; Get rid of text; Get rid of stuff on top of the render. And take a look at a lot of signature tutorials. http://jopie211.deviantart.com/favourites/#Tutorials It's not too bad at all though, the background is decent and so is the attempt at blending.
  8. littlenub Wootz. Sorry about the dimension, forgot what you requested. D:
  9. The animated ones are pretty nice, a lot more original than the average beginner signatures at least. Just keep working on that style. If you'd also like to continue making stuff in the style of #1, 2 and 3, then I suggest taking a look at quite a lot of signature tutorials. http://jopie211.deviantart.com/favourites/#Tutorials
  10. The second one is quite a lot better. Your main problem seems to be messiness. Try to avoid using lots of C4Ds, sparkly effects and busy stock images for the background. Also, it's usually best not to add borders to signatures. Take a look at some of these tutorials: http://jopie211.deviantart.com/favourites/#Tutorials
  11. ^ It's completely true, though. Anyway, it just looks filtery and monotone. Just following some tutorial which tells you to use filter x for the background and then add in a render and blend it in slightly is not going to help you improve at all. Read more, good tutorials that teach you something about the basics such as colour scheme choice and composition, then go back to Gimp and create something using the knowledge you got from reading the tutorials, not the step-by-step instructions.
  12. #13 GMV. It's a decent signature that doesn't really have any major issues, and most of the other entries do IMO.

The first one is awesome like I said on dA, it just looks pretty unique and the colours work well. The others aren't great IMO, not terrible, but just a bit too random and messy and beginner-fractaly if that makes sense.

Attempt at creating depth + more interesting colours than your other work, which are good things. Other than that... D:
  16. Looks very promising so far, I can't see any mistakes really. Looking forward to seeing the final version. \

I really like. Nice and simple, but interesting enough to make a great wallpaper.
  18. I'll do it, just one second. EDIT: Might want to post in the questions/sig resizing sticky next time though.

I'm not sure where that came from either, but it does look pretty cool.
  20. Looks great IMO. I especially like how the stripes in the background seem to be coming from the stripes on her T-shirt, works really well. The red lips are a nice touch too.
  21. ^ It's just that there was a lot of biased voting in previous SotWs.
  22. ^ Yeah I know, I have the same thing. :P But whatever, I guess the anonymity rule will still stop some other people from voting for the artist instead of voting for the art.
  23. I do, I just meant my comment as in "RS graphics are even worse than this...".
