  1. Both theories whether it was God or the BBT which created the universe are as illogical as others, 1 just has physical proof and the other doesn't. Both theories are based on something appearing out of nowhere, whether it's God or the vast amounts of matter involved in the BBT, both are as illogical as the other as nothing can appear out of nowhere or be made from nothing, matter can't just appear but neither can an all-powerful being. I go to the Jesuit school also, we're encouraged to think for ourselves, develop our own opinions but also the basic Jesuit ethos, be the best of what you can be and help others. Honestly, sounds like you're just going with what the priests you know are telling you to believe. At least it's Jesuits you're listening to anyway, religious people with a lot of sense.

From what I've seen on the site, really it just looks like a more in-dept version of Sims 2 with a serious graphics upgrade. I wont be buying it, would require to many upgrades for my computer and Sims 2 does me fine anyway.
  3. Lent, comparing those mental disabilities to this one in question is a huge difference. Although all the ones you mentioned require assistance till their trained for basic functions, the baby in question can never properly function, she'll never talk, she'll never hear, she'll never see, she'll never have a life comparable to a Human person. As countless others have said, she's essentially a plant, she moves slightly, breathes, digests food and has no thought process at all. If you take other things into account, she's actually less advanced than a standard plant, considering she can't sexually reproduce. (probably a bit controversial, not meaning to offend.) This is another problem with religion being taken to far, any person with a drop of intelligence would realise for the baby's and their own good to terminate the pregnancy. I think this extract from her blog is a testament to how ignorant and god-fearing this woman is.
  4. It's mandatory in my school for uniform, pair of grey slacks, navy wool jumper, blue or white shirt, school tie, brown or black shoes etc. It's not as comfortable as normal clothes but I think I prefer it in some ways. It stops a lot of abuse for those who aren't considered the 'normal', I.e the skaters, goths, rockers etc. As were all the same in terms of clothes, it in a way creates a friendlier environment. Problem is, my school is a private school in an impoverished area, meaning our uniform identifies us and makes us a target for local kids our age. On no-uniform days, usually for charity, things are much more hectic or energetic, it just seems more 'crazy' I suppose when there's no uniforms. As Kenish said though, there's still the easy ways of spotting the 'cool' and 'uncool' groups in school, the cool or normal groups will usually wear brown loafers and brand shirts with gelled hair, the uncool groups usually wear school recommended shoes, school shop shirts and don't have any hair styles.
  5. Secular Humanism, no body caring for getting into Heaven or whether their pleasing god, instead people only caring about helping those less fortunate than them. Would do the modern world a lot of god.
  6. Please enlighten me more as well, is this an American act to be passed only, is it an Uk act, European union, the entire 1st world etc? Goddamit the thought of limited access is scary and against my rights!
  7. Couldn't this guy technically apply for citizenship and no longer be an "international student?" Would probably be a pain in the [wagon] because I'm not sure how the UK does citizenship, but it beats paying 10,000 pound in tuition. As far as I know, which I could be wrong. You can't just "apply" to be a citizen of the Uk, you must live their for 5 years under a student visa / working visa while having a visa for the entire period or renewing it before it runs out. Then you can apply for citizenship which can still be denied by the Uk government at their discretion. For student loans, as far as I'm aware you must have been a student at an school in the Uk for a minimum of 7 years. International student fee's are incredibly high, a lot higher than standard American fees AFAIK. It's the same here in Ireland, international student fee's are so high that it's actually free for Irish students, the international fee's are so high they actually pay enough to cover the entire college's expenses.
  8. Excuse for my noobyness, but what's so amazing about the fragments? Do they get turned into some amazing piece of armour of weapon? Are they tokens for T8 armour? etc
  9. Tell them if they don't start letting you out to a reasonable time now it will start having some serious effects on your future social life and social skills. 6 o clock is just idiotic, I've never had to be in so early, the earliest I've had to be in for was 9 and now it's about 1-2 on the weekends. 6 is just pure unreasonable.
  10. If we rid the world of everything negative, go figure.
  11. In that context, it sounds as if a dictatorship would be the best choice. All or nothing sounds better to me than a 100% chance of some form of corruption in a government filled with many people with power. I'd say the complete opposite, I'd much prefer having many leaders who can be voted in by the state than one person who has whole power. Hitler and Stalin both came across as amazing leaders at first, they were to of the most evil and corrupt men in history. Anyone can come across as good and uncorrupt, anyone can also be corrupted by having absolute power.
  12. Not sure about Swedish law, but are they actually breaking any laws? Technically all they've done is created the software, the true lawbreakers are those uploading and downloading the copyrighted material. The only law I can see them realistically be charged with is aiding in a crime or conspiracy to aid in a crime, I.E creating the software for the illegal downloading. Still though, that can't warrant a 1 year sentence and a 4.5 Million fine.
  13. Hmmm, sued them for negligence? File a complaint, they sound like a group of absolute [developmentally delayed]s. Not giving you a powerful pain killer after major surgery and then dropping you, especially considering how fragile the back is.
  14. / Modded controller. If you need a modded controller for a G3 then you don't know how to effectively use it. IMO the best AR in HC modes is the G3, great crosshairs making Noobtube or silencer available and great accuracy.

"Pain is momentarily, Pride is forever." "The only thing to fear in life is fear itself." "Hit him hard, if he gets back up you hit him harder, if he gets back up again, it's probably smartest to run." (Don't go by it, it's just pretty funny) "[bleeping] a person drunk is like riding a bike high, it will take a lot longer to get there and there'll be some funny moments on the way, but you'll eventually get there." "War is the terrorism of the rich and terrorism is the war of the poor."
  16. 1. Getting hit by a car and then being thrown on to the windshield due to the force. 2. Sliding down a granite stairs on some flimsy wooden board, which then snaps resulting in me breaking my tailbone. 3. Firing a bottle rocket out of my [wagon], rather embarrassing explaining that one to a doctor. Other than that, haven't felt much mental pain, losing my best friend was extremely hard to deal with but was more anger than pain due to that fact he murdered. Granny dieing was pretty hard too.
  17. And yet, you felt that my comparison of pirate attacks to street crime was "ignorant"? :-s Yes, I was aware of how violence has torn apart the streets of Ireland. Next time I will place [sarcasm][/sarcasm] around such remarks so you don't get confused. I really don't see how any of your comments were supposed to come off as sarcastic, try and add something to the topic instead of trying to make me look ignorant perhaps, it's rather childish. Apparently you, fortunately, live in an area that does not have street gangs. Do some research before making assumptions, on a per-capita basis Ireland is the most violent country in western Europe, 2 years ago there were more gang related deaths in Dublin than there was in London, take into account London is 13 times the size of Dublin and renowned for it's knife crime. Vast areas of Dublin now are being indirectly controlled by drugs and the ganglords running the drug gangs. And yes, I do feel if my life or anothers was at risk from criminals I would be able to shoot. I believe you, but when I was in Dublin I walked around quite a bit at night (probably not the smartest thing to do), and it seemed pretty peaceful to me. Maybe only locals get attacked, eh? It really does depend on where you walk and some areas are really down to what street you're walking on, for example Talbot street is relatively safe, yet if you took any of the roads going off it you're in a pretty dangerous area renowned for drugs and crime. What parts were you walking around out of curiosity?
  18. When I was 8 a pedophile tryed to abduct me while I was on the sideline of a Gaa pitch watching my dad play a match (native Irish sport). As I was only 8 and easily tempted by the option of 'candy' I followed the man towards his car in the nearby carpark, my dad ran off the pitch during the match and about 100 yards across the park, when he caught up with the guy he cracked the guy over the head with his hurl (pretty much the bat used in Hurling) He knocked the guy out when he hit him over the head. led me over to the subs bench, told his teammate to keep an eye on me, ran back onto to the pitch and scored a goal within 20 seconds. My dads friend who was videotaping the match caught the whole thing on camera, funniest homevideo I've seen. An 'only in Ireland' type moment. [hide=A Hurl][/hide]
  19. Sorry, but what your brother did was just stupid, would be much smarter just to pick up his wallet and return to the platform for the next train. Barcelona is supposed to be a great tourist city. I'm not sure of the exact description, but in Spain there is a very commonly eaten food called "Tapas". If I remember correctly, it's a selection of small different dishes. Pretty nice and decent value. Paella as well is famous as a Spanish dish. Europe's biggest water park is about an hour outside Barcelona, it's supposed to be amazing. There is some amazing tourist sights there, don't know any in particular but never heard of a bad trip to Barcelona. Just buy a tourist guide from a reputable publisher and go to things that sound good to you. Yes though, other than Portugal Western Europe is rather expensive compared to USA. Bring a fair amount of money.
  20. I don't like the idea of a one person dictatorship. The Romans had a rather intelligent idea, they had 2 "consuls" (pretty much the smartest equivalent to what we're discussing). A consul being the equivalent to Presidents, Prime Ministers etc. If something was to be passed, they would both have to agree and if a idea could lead to corruption or be damaging to the state the consul who didn't propose it can veto it. Of course, there is always the chance of corruption whether it's 1 leader or 100 leaders. The simple fact is, we can only create the system which limits corruption as much as possible while being the most beneficial to the state in question. So far, Democracy has still been the most effective of systems. I like the public having the ability to eventually rid of those who put the state at harm or were corrupt.

how do you forget?! i'd think it'd be noticeable wouldn't it? After spending a day drinking beer from 12 in the day till 2 in the morning it's quite easy to forget you're wearing a condom, let alone that they even exist. As I said, the outcome you would assume never occurred so I'm still young and childless :
  23. Not everyone on a ship is a military trained combat veteran you know. Despite what you may have seen in movies, most sailors are simply that: sailors. It's their job. Do you have to go to work with a gun? Yes, there is the risk of being attacked by pirates. I could get mugged walking to the store, does that mean I should carry a gun? Care to point out where I looked so ignorant that I assumed they're all arms trained vets? There's a difference between being mugged and your ship being hijacked by extremely dangerous and unpredictable pirates, it's a pretty ridiculous comparison. Care to find me a story where 3 muggers had to be killed? Comparing street crime to an increasing amount of ships being hijacked by dangerous pirates is just ignorant. It is relatively simple to arm the ship employees for their own safety, it would only require basic arms training and a weapon suited for the situation, IMO a SMG such as a MP5, they're not going into a war zone after all.

Forgot to use a rubber. Not the outcome you'd think occurred though.
  25. You consider this bullying? You're quite obviously not going to be able to take it then when this starts flowing around. It's a bit of friendly abuse, give him some back when he says stuff to you. It's been said so many times before, bur if it gets to you then they'll keep it up. Learn to take it and then give it back, then you wont be a target and you can get a laugh out of it when you do.
