How would you prepare for a breakdown in organised society?
Buy a pack of smokes, a 6 pack of beer and sit back watching everyone run around trying to save themselves from an unpreventable death. Then laugh while I'm at it.

Little Boy Father At 13 (After DNA Test, Not The Father)
Obviously you don't understand how easy for it is to get drunk, have unprotected sex and for [cabbage] to happen. 1 of my friends (16) is expecting. It's like smoking, one will always know how stupid it is to do it (smoking or unprotected sex) but it will still happen. The parents only have a certain amount of control, it's more the kids fault than the parents. lol now youre proposing that these kids were drunk at 13 and 15 years old too? :shame: shame on them It's not actually that uncommon in Britain and Ireland for people that age to get drunk, both countries have a serious binge drinking problem. I and most of my friends started drinking around 14, it's pretty common in Britain and Ireland for teenagers to start drinking then.

There's a reason why your last topic got locked and you've done it again. You've provided no discussion value at all.

Gluttons Unite!
Traditional Irish stew is good, but nothing beats this thing my granddad used to do, a very old celtic way of cooking food. He'd dig a hole about 2-3 foot deep and same wide while he had some rocks on top of a very hot fire. He'd throw the rocks into the pit once they're extremely hot, then fill it up with water and throw in a full Venison leg covered in straw to keep away the dirt from the venison. He'd place moss and shrubs over the top to keep the heat in and let it cook till the water turns luke warm. Basically the result is, a extremely tender piece of venison cooked for about 4-6 hours in boiling to hot water. The meat pretty much falls away from the bone and a lot of the fat is dissolved as well making for a great taste. It's pretty rare when he does it, but I'm yet to try something better tasting from such a wacky way of cooking.

Worst thing you got caught doing at school!
At least more than a few of these are semi-plausible. His is just too far out in the field to possibly consider without some hard evidence. Evidence? Dude copping a feel of your gf's [bleep] isn't like it's hardcore stuff, it's pretty much just playing around. There's alot more things in this thread I doubt than that. You sound like pervert asking for evidence, what? want him to send you a picture of him feeling his gf's [bleep]?

Is there anything that can't kill you?-No supercannons!
A cloud is just a mass of air and water vapour, if accelerated fast enough it could. Anything which has mass accelerated to a certain point can kill. If I'm correct-and I may not be-then simple water vapor will boil away when accelerated to a killing speed because of all the energy needed. And if the cloud is even smaller, it being poison wouldn't matter. I think you could be correct, but air is still left over and if accelerated to a certain speed that will cause death. That was the argument at the start of the thread anyway.

Possible Cure for HIV Discovered
I'm going to agree with Sworddude on this, if it keeps mutating to essentially avoid combatant by drugs giving it something to further mutate it could be either like pouring a lot of water on a fire, or pouring a lot of petrol on the fire. It could either kill it off, or turn it into the worlds deadliest virus of living times.

Life in 100 years
I always wondered why anyone would ever attack us, because they would surely end up dead. The after affects of the nukes we could drop on them would surely decimate Asia and Europe. Maybe even Africa if the wind shifted. With that much Nuclear fallout, eventually the world would be covered in radioactive particles and nuclear fallout, humanity would most likely die out with 30-50 years of Asia and Europe being "decimated". It wouldn't be a case of "possibly" Africa, it would be the entire world if enough were dropped to kill off Asia and Europe.

Worst thing you got caught doing at school!
Pretty much, I'd prefer though he'd take a small bag of weed off me than me getting suspended from school, most likely even expelled at this stage while also ending up with a charge of drugs possession.

Worst thing you got caught doing at school!
Well, today I got caught with having weed on school premises, teachers solution....he'll "confiscate" it but wont inform any forms of higher authority or my parents, fair deal to be honest.

Regrets
My friend was involved in an incredibly difficult situation, me and my 2 other friends (his 2 other best friends pretty much) decided we wouldn't get involved for our own safety. He got killed 3 months ago, I still always hate myself when I think about it for not helping him. Me and my friends made a band together 2 years ago, I left because I thought they were going nowhere and I had an offer from a better band to play the bass. The band I left recently signed a pretty promising deal with a record / promotion company. The band I quit for broke up about 2 weeks ago, at least I'm lucky enough to still be friends with the band I quit in case their bassist ever leaves. Then got the other normal stuff, "shoulda gone for this" "shoulda gone for that" kind of stuff.

Valentines Day (Singles Awareness Day) Will Soon Be Upon Us.
Going to a nightclub on Saturday night, two of my friends who I'm thinking of trying to get with are going as well so I'll see where the alcohol take's it. Apparently, due to the recession and it reminding some people how lonely they are, this could well be the day with the highest rates of suicides this year......damn my teacher creates weird theories.

Victorian Bushfires
Some fuels will actually leave a very slight trace, most notably the most commonly used such as petrol or lighter fluids. The vapors from them will most likely be stuck in the clothes if not destroyed and pollen of the local area stuck to the wheel arches of the car. That will give them enough evidence to secure a warrant for a polygraph test if they find a suspect matching said evidence which will then most likely lead to the crucial evidence. The biggest problem is, considering how remote the area is the only leads they'll have is eye witnesses, which are sadly very rare or well......quite possibly dead.

any one live near a famous person?
Brian O'Driscoll, pretty famous Rugby player. Packie Bonner, well known Irish goalkeeper from the 90's. The drummer for U2. The bassist from Thin Lizzy, And the most infamous Irish bank robber in Irish history  Ye, my area has quite a few famous people

Call of Duty: World at War
In all fairness, Infantry Ward (makes of 1,2 and 4) had quite a hand in it and provided the game engine from 4. Treyarch basically took the engine of 4, gave it a WW2 skin to a certain extent and took the credit for it. People did give them a chance, and Treyarch did deliver but had a lot of "outside" help. And ye, not fixing bugs is pretty sloppy customer care.

Official 2009 NASCAR discussion topic!
Don't want to sound an [wagon], but that's usually because most people lose interest in the first 10 minutes. Really, "it's an acquired taste" would be the best way of putting it.

Spelling Bees
Never been part of one let alone heard of one in Ireland. Don't think they're worthwhile either, doesn't measure intelligence to a certain extent and isn't a great form of competition either.

Victorian Bushfires
Legally speaking, the most I think they can be done for will be manslaughter unless it can be proven physically they created the fire with the intent of the fire/s causing severe bodily harm or death. In an article I read today it said an unconfirmed police statement said that the maximum they can face is 25 years though :| Shameful to think there could be so many dead yet these people will only face 25, most likely 15 if they act on good behavior throughout their sentence.

Victorian Bushfires
I'm not entirely up to date on the matter but how are so many dieing? Is it mostly firefighters getting trapped and then burned or slowly recovering bodies from the two destroyed towns? It's an extremely high figure for a disaster which can somewhat be avoided and predicted.

Honestly, horse racing is more fun to watch than Nascar and that is boring as [bleep] to be honest, meh.....just my 2 cents.

What if you were a zombie?
Can't believe people haven't said this yet.... Spawn hunter class, hop to the top of some building and slowly pick off survivors one by one as they get split from the main group.
