He's posting here as search doesn't pick up anything. I know you think it's cool acting like the intelligent wise-cracking guy, but in all purity it makes you look stupid. Maybe before we open our mouth, maybe we should consider thinking. Hypothetical situation: [*:1mneo9ou]F2P is ended. [*:1mneo9ou]Members number will initially stay the same for a length of time. [*:1mneo9ou]However, without F2P the influx of new members will stop. Would you want to pay for a game of which you haven't even tested, played and found out whether it is the right game for you? [*:1mneo9ou]Members gradually begin to quit, as normal. People quit all the time due to RL issues and such like. [*:1mneo9ou]Jagex lose money, due to the decreasing numbers of members. It would be incredibly stupid for Jagex to end F2P, and would definetly result in a dent in their profits. After all, don't forget they also earn money via those annoying 'Zwinky' adds etc. So therefore, F2P will never end.

Agreed ^ It's pointless putting this here where we can check your stats, people will Not stake you high if they see your stats. I'd stick to targeting the less intelligent members of RS, the rich ones preferably.

Just ignore, or quit. The immature people aren't going to all read this post, and say 'Hey, lets grow up a bit.' To put simply, ranting about it isn't going to solve it. Either quit, or invent some sort of anti-immaturity device, in which a grenade will be activated when the word 'noob' etc comes up. Then again, Mayweather has more chance of beating Hatton than i do of creating this device (ooooo, controversy), so your left with either turning chat off, or giving up this complete waste of time.

My new lovely account Omg Hyt got banned, thanks to jagex going militant on me over donations from people on the forum. I then got my main (original) back from the person i gave it to, staked like a vampire slayer and got my final RS dream, a Phat set. Got my GCSE results, were very very good. I looked at life then at RS, thought wtf am i wasting my life on. Got my sister to change the password to one of random numbers an letters, which gets hidden, forever hopefully. I then went out, and enjoyed life. So yah, my summer rocked, mainly because my GCSE results seemed to include lots of *'s and A's. Gf runescape, you tried.

I think this is actually a good idea. Remember rsc, with the good/bad division between prayers etc. You could have Brutal and say, Pacifist. Brutal prayers bulk your attack up more etc, and make you stronger. Pacifist is protection, keep item, and maybe some new spells (much like the lunar spell book spells, bar vengeance =P) This enties with peoples theories who believe that there will no longer be any skills, just sub divisions of these skills. Of course, subdivison between prayers with most likely never happen again, but a theory is a theory. And let me stress again, this is just a theory, so i don't want a flame fest from some of the Neanderthals that inhabit the forum.

RING OF WEALTH DOES GIVE A SLIGHTLY BETTER CHANCE OF DROPS! It does, but the increase is incredibly slight, so much so that wearing a ROL would be a better choice. I die more often than i would get a rare drop more than likely (Thats why i stayed in the duel areana =P) so an ROL saving my guthans or whatever turned out to be the better choice. Just because the increase is minor, doesn't mean it's not even there. It does increase drops, but it's so minor, that it has become slightly pointless. Andylax38 have a good example with the 'Wheel of fortune' viewpoint.

My first ever pk was a stupid one. I'd just completed D-slayer, and was 3 iteming with an r2h, rune plate and str ammy (I was incredibly poor back then =D). A level 60 started calling me a noob and attacked me. Me with my trusty r2h managed to hit a string of 1's and 3's, and the guy never healed. Eventually, i managed to hit a 10, and i got the ko O.o. Full rune with scimi for me, and perhaps one of the weirdest things ever to happen to me.

I sold a guy back his santa for 25m a few months ago, after i overstaked him a red mask, because he had a low magic level O.o. Turns out that he was about 5x richer than me =/

Since these are less desirable and wouldn't be protected, people would need to buy again. This would create some confusion, as the higher supply may result in an price hike at the beginning, and confusion on the set price. So basically, you were correct in saying they would even out, but at the start, the prices would fluctuate randomly is what i was trying to convey in my final paragraph.

In other words, guthan spear would fall in price and others rise a bit. For wearable rares, their prices could actually rise because of this. Rares are more than just invests, they are status symbols. However most people don't want to lose their precious phats. If there was a way to be 100% sure that you can't lose it for a random event, there would be higher demand for them. [/hide] Although what you have said is true to most extents, in then backs up what i said about making the economy lop - sided. The first highlighted bold is a statement about the tweaking of barrows item prices. Guthan spear would be protected, spears would take a rapid price drop, to such an extent that spears become very cheap. The more common barrows items would fluctulate heavily. They're common, but thanks to them not being protected, their prices would be set to rise due to people losing them. This could result in one person selling a t helm for 100k, the guy next to him would be selling for 250k. People with rarer items usually avoid combat when wearing the said item, and are therefore more at risk from dying by the hand of random events. Since these are random, this could happen at a place which is void of people. They die, the item runs through the allotted time on the ground, and then it vanishes. Slthough it's a rare occurance, it does happen, as was the case of my wizzy t, and the 1.3m i was carrying with it. Things such as this help balance out the economy, as i would need to make the cash again, and buy the item again, passing on the cash to the seller. He could therefore buy an empty box, and the seller may buy some rune sets. If it wasn't for these occurances, where people die, and someone takes their death pile, then there would be heavy extremes of rich and poor, with a few people with all the party hats, a group frabtically making the cash for one, and the people at the bottom fishing shrimp. Although the example i have given is increasingly becoming modern runescape, with the great paranoia of losing rares these days, you can see what i'm saying. If Mr X was not to die and lose rare X, mr Y could not fine it, and sell it etc etc. So its deaths and people losing rares which keeps a section economy ticking over.
