  1. got my support whole-heartedly! It's the reason I stopped using range in FOG.
  2. definately oranges.
  3. Needed a name quickly and the day before put my name in a Lord of the Rings elven name generator, so the name stuck.
  4. I'd go with this one. Though it is really boring, I usually can't do it for too long.
  5. I thought the vyrewatch were corrupted icyene :?
  6. This topic isnt about 'what F2p deserve' it's a debate about what introductions if they were made would balance F2p mages against meleers.
  7. check the genral discussion thread. You get a headband and you get free flax and can spin it faster. Also excalibur gets a new special. Though check the discussion for more details
  8. I would have to say snare is needed the most, bind is just not good enough.
  9. 95% of the staff at Jagex are serving members... Also, the cost of a server is minimal to a staff - figure that a server on a rack is at most $500 a month, where one staff is (at least) $3000 a month. Anyhow, to the point of the topic, I think that rune is enough, however mages sorely need new armour or a new bind spell that lasts longer than 5 seconds, and an attack that hits more than 16. Rangers hit up to 18 at 1.5x the speed of mages, and they have better armour. magers already have enough armour, combat robes, druidic robes and runecrafting robes are all new additions OH HOLY JESUS 20 MAGIC ROBES AND ROBES THAT GIVE +14 MAGIC BONUS. RUN MELEERS, RUN! That's like saying after Jagex makes a cooking update and someone says "Cooking doesn't need any more updates, they have TROUT!1!1!!1!eleven!". I agree that if you want to play the whole game you should pay for it, but it should at least be a balanced demo. Give F2P some kind of level 30-40 magic robe, Snare, and parts of fletching and everything would be fine. Members have no use for low level magic robes, since there's plenty of things that are better. Snare is outclassed by Ice spells; heck, even Entangle. Fletching is essentially nothing but a quick way to make junk, gain total levels, and have a skillcape. These things would be much better appreciated in F2P. Not giving F2P these things is like a car dealer taking the radio and climate control out of a new car before someone test drives it. Thats the whole point of F2p we aren't supposed to have what we want! The whole point is to make people pay because the armour/weapons/skills are ok but not great. I F2p get all the updates you listed then whats the point of paying members? Just because the majority of P2p don't use it doesn't mean it can automatically become a hand-me-down. Otherwise whats the point?
  10. , hilarious dialogue. However it's kinda expected for walking 'randomly' round F2p in a strength cape and bandos armour, you reap what you sow...
  11. I'd definately go with the iron, it'll be a lot quicker I think.
  12. thanks for the imput guys! I think I'll try airs, it would be nice to get a little profit.
  13. Party hats are definately discontinued as there are only as many as the number of party hat and crackers combined. No more crackers will be dropped and therefore no more party hats can be 'made'. All the crackers in existence atm technically do have a party hat inside.
  14. I am looking to get m runecrafting up to level 50 so I can enter the runecrafting guild. I have decided to do it just by making runes (no tiaras) and was wondering wether I should use earth or air runecrafting gloves from FOG. I know that xp wise crafting earth runes would be faster however I was wondering if air runes was significantly faster (ie quicker trips) or more of a money maker to be worth training instead. As the token prices are the same I was torn between the two. All imputs welcome.
  15. free runes - free exp , full melee armor - you will stay longer - more exp per game* ... I dont see the stupid part in this one ... *game starts he is first , he goes to center, you kill him - lets say 1.5 minutes (if you count the waiting till you start the game) if he kills you fast the game is 3 minutes so he gets 50% of the time free exp or 30 minutes of free casting per hour. if he kills you for lets say 4.5 minutes that is 45 free minutes of casting and etc. but hes not going to hit me in full rune when I have dragonhide on, similarly ill easily out pace him as I have the lighter equipment so he won't catch me and wastes up to 5 mins with negligible xp.

I have only seen the OoC only once, it was a few months ago and they seemed ok. Just quietly picking cabbage and banking, I gave a friendly 'KAH BAH GEE' and didn't even get any reponse at at all so I went on my merry way ;)
  17. People in FoG who insist on wearing their full rune despite using magic to try and kill me. Also people who carry shields in FoG, they are pointless ([bleep]ed and beserker shields are debateable). Suppose I shouldn't complain though, just gives me a greater advantage ;)
  18. Skill capes and snare. However I beleive we have enough bankspace now its just that you have to be sensible with what you store. Having a place to store our random event clothing would help too. Also the idea to take an IQ test to access RSOF is stupid. A high IQ is no assurance that a person isn't an immature idiot.

  20. evil chicken and evil bob in cahoots me thinks?
  21. fastest way is to craft body tiaras, however you make a loss as they are damn near impossible to sell. I'd recommend air or earth rune crafting with FOG gloves.
  22. Actually wasn't the last F2p update the Christmas event/quest? Sorry nit-picking now. I don't believe that F2p deserve many updates as the whole point is that we get bored and thus upgrade to members. I think that the best way for F2p to get updates is items that benefit P2per's too. Examples could be: enabling F2p to craft chaos runes (will make them cheaper due to increase in supply) More treasure trail items (this will benefit P2per's as the prices for their rewards would increase as F2p would have to buy them)
  23. It depends on how much (value of) you are carrying, for how long and in what particular areas. Along with how many kills you get. Its more complicated then old pking but the knowledge base basically covers what you need to know.
  24. I'd have to say no, the combat triangle in F2p is bent towards melee as it is. Still if one was released within a month or so everyone would have that armour and it will soon become 'lame' too. F2p is supposed to have low end equipment as its supposed to persuade you to pay for membership (and ultimately better weapons/armours etc.)
  25. I've heard that runecrafting gloves don't work, as the ourania altar already gives double xp it doesn't stack. Though I can't seem to find it on the knowledge base...
