When I was your level I killed moss giants, the drops aren't fantastic but they drop big bones which you can either sell or bury for a nice prayer bonus. I wouldn't bother with ice giants yet unless you go wilderness as the ones in the ice cavern are usually crowded and you will have too much trouble with the ice warriors trying to attack you that you'll hardly get to attack the ice giants. The system you do of fishing on Karamja to replenish supply sounds like the best idea for F2p and its the strategy I use : saves all the teleporting back and forth.

I can only think of Karamja or Crandor. Or as a long shot Mudskippers point? even though its really a peninsular : EDIT: Just had a brain wave! what about the water altar?

Personally I don't care that F2p is limited in what it can do, that's the way it's ment to be. F2p is supposed to give you a taster so you buy the membership. Sure it's fine for F2per's to dream of what will never be but it's the ones who demand it that get on my nerves as they give the rest of the F2p population a bad name. And honestly, I couldn't be happier slaving in the mines and tree plantations for our P2p overlords ;) . It's a job after all right?

The concept art looks good, though Sci-fi games rarely appeal to me. I'll probably check it out around release time then settle back to my Runscape ways :mrgreen:

I'd be happy if they let use put random event clothing full random event clothing into sets. That would sort out my bank worries for life :thumbsup:

I think that some F2per's are getting a little carried away with the events of the last year. One of the main reasons F2p got so many updates was to make-up for the removal of the wilderness. Now that sufficient replacements (in Jagex's eyes) are here life in a F2p world will more likely go back to the norm of having only a few updates a year.

Pretty much sums this topic up in a nut shell :D . I don't see why people look on the past in such a rose-tinted way. It's just like in real life where you get adults complaining of kids 'lack of respect' for their elders ;) Pking was always a brutal, no holds barred affair, everyone uses their abilities as best they can in order to win. Though maybe I just never found the old 'honour' areas where 'honourable' Pker's went *cough* Duel Arena *cough*

This man speaks the truth. I have to agree. Anyway the whole point of drops are that they are random, one time it took me less than half an hour to get all 4 pieces. Though another time it took me around 3 hours, it all depends on your luck ;)

It's still 'new' at the moment and a novelty so people are buying them. Or maybe people think they degrade after 30 mins of combat so richer F2per's are probably buying the helm to show off to lower level players. They'll soon realise the mistake...

to make a gold ring use a gold bar with a ring mould. Can't help with the polished buttons though, I think they have something to do with a quest but otherwise are pretty useless

Don't think it really matters if we have 'rights' or not, Runescape is no democracy, but a dictatorship :D we should just be grateful we can play the game

is this faster or slower at making money than my mith bar method? At the moment if you buy all materials, mithril bars make 175gp approx. per bar whilst steel bars are approx. 125 gp I think :-s I calculated it last week, not sure what it is now.

buy coal and mine the iron then smelt steel bars and sell them. Though it is boring as hell

Yeah, i've buried lots of bones and only ever gotten gravedigger, shade and zombie randoms. I seem to get all the randoms but for a strange (more probably a random ;) ) reason I don't get freaky forester or the mime events. I'll try the standing still, sounds like a good idea. Thanks for the tips people!

Yeah and why not open up Kandarin as well :roll: I beleive a new F2p quest would be totally unnessary, one of the main draws to P2P are the large quantity of quests. Similarly the amount of hate mail from P2p'ers wolud crash the RSOF's into oblivion.

Quick question. Are there any activities that make the freaky forester random event more likely to appear? I've heard woodcutting does but I'm not sure. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

I was disappointed with the broom for F2p. Though thats just because I got all hyped up by expecting/hoping that it was going to be the hovering one that lost out on the poll last year....oh well lets just hope the easter one's better (not looking forward to the santa suit).

What did you want? just me a bit disappointed because when we were given the broom I kinda hoped we were going to get the levitating broom that lost last years poll :cry:

wasn't very happy with this years event. found the rewards a bit pointless for F2p. what's the point of giving F2p a broom when all they can do is carry it around and sweep? thought the clothes were second-rate too, well thats my rant over ;) . liked the quest though

I have to agree that every player on PvP world are fair game pkers or skillers alike. People who complain otherwise are just like those peole who advocated the 'honour code' of the old wilderness. The place is supposed to be lawless and high risk with people using unorthodox and 'questionable' tactics making it so much the more interesting. Knd of like in real life

Jagex wll probably reduce the world numbers after a few more weeks if the numbers stay too low.

You probably got attacked by players from other fan sites 'posing' as Tif'ers in order to cause chaos in he ranks (and it did) in MSSW 3 I was a victim of a 'backstabber' who actually was a member of another site.

That's the spirit! Can't wait until I try it out, just need to get a connection set up in my new house :x
