Combat Triangle? Equilateral or Isosceles?
^And consequently severely nerf range's effectiveness? Besides, a separate skill for magic makes absolutely no sense.

Aviansies or Barrows?
b The overwheming majority of the drop value, and over half of the profit, comes from the runes and bolt racks.

Aviansies for a pure
Eagle eye should be saved for chinchompers/gws, not avis if he wants to make some profit... But Hawk eye is godly at aviansies. Mitre>robin. And as I said you should use Hawk eye if you're not already.

Godsword Vs. Whip
You do realize that the reason godswords are good against bosses is their high defence, right? The GWD bosses' defence are paper compared to a high-level player in tanking gear. Whip is still better, according to compfreak. But if whip>gs in PvP then whip>gs in boss hunting.

How much of a buff does F2P mage need?
F2P needs to have wave spells, but the requirements should be 2 deaths instead of 1 blood on free servers.

God Sword tradable?
Greed? That's absurd. You think wanting money, and spending money, is greedy? Your suggestion would wreck the profitability of GWD and ruin the income source of tens of thousands of players.

Combat Triangle? Equilateral or Isosceles?
The thing is, the combat formula is very heavily biased towards rangers and mages. A maxed out range/mage tank is around 100 combat. Unless they go into deep wild a level 100 mage or ranger will dominate any meleer. But that doesn't really matter since a level 100 mage/ranger is superior to a level 130 meleer. Just shows how underpowered melee is in PvP. Melee has the epic spec weapons, for sure. But range and magic's regular hits are far more devastating than melee's. Magic hits 56 and the meleer will never touch them. Range hits 40s with morrigan's javelins with amazing accuracy and speed close to or equal to a whip, or up to 60 with dragonstone bolt special.

Anyway to bring back smithing? or is it dead?
Regular metal smithing will NEVER be profitable. If Jagex were to make it a good moneymaking skill like it used to they'd either have to create a new smithable item with epically nerfed xp rates, or create a smithing feature that does not require an input.

What would you have done?
A true sign of being a good person isn't doing nice things for people you don't know; it's doing nice things for people who don't deserve it. I would've given the phone back.

Profitable allotments?
^Wouldn't 12k pay for the occasional plant death? I'm guessing that payments cost more than the profit from marigolds. Yes you should grow marigolds and of course you should use supercompost.

Solo Bandos Equipment
Ever tried getting KC? If you don't wear a bandos item, the bandos spawns will target you instead of the zammy monsters, and the zammy monsters are much less aggressive. Since you don't 1 hit the monsters 100% of the time, your taking a big (20-30% with a GS) hit to your KC time - by far the longest part of the trip, knocking down your profits and slowing kills. I just now (like now) kc'd there and it wasn't a problem. I kc'd with a whip and had an ancient mace in inventory. I trapped monsters with rocks. Just take an extra shark instead of the mace; you rarely take 20 damage running to boss room door.

I see. I've seen my friend get KC but I realized I've never seen him get it with a bandos item...

What's the point of the magic short bow? (Editted)
It doesn't matter how you try to balance it. It either deals less damage per minute then the 'best' weapon, and is never used, or it deals more and is always used in place of the 'best'. There's only room for one at the top\best, by definition. Sorry, I need to be more clea rin what I'm ranting about. You are right; it's either the best damage dealer or it's not. However, that doesn't mean there can't be trade-offs. As I've stated before, the crossbow is the best damage dealer as well as having cheap ammunition. It both outhits the crystal bow and at a cheaper price per shot. Aside from that, there's also the issue of being on a lower tier. Meh, I should probably be comparing the dark bow to the run c'bow or the crystal bow to the rune c'bow since the msb is on a lower level tier and therefore should hit lower. :wall: Calling it a cost/power tradeoff is just oversimplifying it; you could create an efficiency formula and just plug in the rate of your best income source to see which is better. If the income level required for one weapon to be more effective than the other is easily obtainable by most players, then it will be like compfreak said and only that will be used. Besides you can use the crystal bow 'glitch' (not against the rules) to keep it at 10/10 most of the time. Fire 249 shots, or as close as you can without going over, and switch to a second bow. The second bow will degrade and not the first.

Omni-Protection Prayer?
85% reduction? -.- Still would make something like Jad easy. "Ooooh, how cute, Jad did 10 damage." Ditto for just about every boss monster that hits under 9,000 damage. Granted, it takes a lot of money to get to 99 prayer, but nor should 99 prayer mean you automatically gain an insane upper-hand in a fight. Maybe a quarter would be good. Like a Spirit shield. I think he means 85% reduction in the same way protect prayers give 50% reduction against players; it only decreases accuracy but not strength. But an 85% protection would be practically useless against Jad; it'd only give the equivalent of 200-300 defence bonus or so and not make any sort of noticable difference. But they could make it so like it specifically targets hit rate and not accuracy/defense.

Solo Bandos Equipment
Yes. He needs to have a bandos item. Since he's praying melee, the only attack he's getting hit with is range and mage; torags legs and bandos tassets both have -4 mage defence but tassets have 1 higher range and +1 prayer. And the +2 strength doesn't hurt either. Like I said I misread the OP's first post, but you don't need to have a bandos item. Just pray mage and run; oftentimes you'll take 0 damage. It makes KC a much bigger pain as the gorak and bloodvields\hellhounds won't help out much. The fastest KC is the goblins by the Zamorak bridge, right? Bandos item wouldn't make a difference there.

Ranged 70+
Aviansies are better xp then ogres? When did this happen..? Anyway, use void for training. They aren't the best xp, but they're the best training. There's a distinction.

An Average Player's guide to waterfiends.
Flail>Hammers.

Ranged 70+
With your stats the best training spot would be aviansies; ogres are awful. Get a tank setup with good range attack and range defense.

Gah, my vampireish story that I don't have a name to yet
Instead of putting parenthesis around their ages you should use commas; like, Shingo, 16, is staring at his only picture of his mother. Also you should indent when a new person speaks.

Longbows...
I understand your point but surely it'd be a good idea to at least make those crappy weapons more on par with the standard, even if they'd still be useless.

Aviansies for a pure
43-55 prayer would increase profit by maybe 10k per hour. But you should either go on to 56 or stop at 52; prayer pot dose increases by four-level increments. I'm sticking with my original estimate of 250k.
