/v/ doesn't get too many Runescape threads, and when they do it's generally a more nostalgia oriented discussion rather than a "join this now" topic. From what I've seen of /b/ (I don't venture that far down the rabit hole), they would do less than they are given credit for. /b/ doesn't randomly stage large-scale attacks on sites; they need some sort of motivation to do so. Why does everyone give /b/ such a bad name? It is the funniest place ever! Albeit sometimes pretty gross. Still. Get off your high horses, I bet people who say they never read it read it 24/7. It's related to the average maturity level of /b/tards. Most of them are just immature kids getting there jollies off of shock images and porn. To be honest though, 4chan is just the public face of anon. There are some real douchebags on the less well known sites who ruin the lulz for everyone by taking it way too far. These are the people who sully the name of /b/.

Here's another. The Elitist Commonly found rearranging their banks so that everything is in it's proper place, and then taking screen-shots to show everyone just how awesome they are. When not ignoring everyone in game, they like to nitpick about anything they possibly can. This includes but is not limited to, the equipment stats of other players and how they are not using the best possible combination, and the optimum speed for skilling, combat, quests, or other activities. You may sometimes find them in mini-games such as castle wars. They will undoubtedly be either standing around doing nothing in protest of the noobs on their team who don't know how to play or barking orders in all caps to their teammates because of their superior knowledge.

seems more like a barbarian than a viking to me, but basically the same thing.

Lol, do you have anything positive to say? If you are going to call an article false or misleading, at least quote certain sections. You aren't "cool" or "edgy" because you have your smarmy, unbacked opinions. Hopefully you grow out of your teenage angst phase soon. Damn that teenager known as Qeltar, one day he will grow up! Q is my favorite poster, he actually uses his brain when he posts and has tons of useful information and ideas MHL and him would make a cute couple. OT: This article was pretty interesting. I can't wait to see some of the changes aforementioned. I doubt it. She's a girl's girl.

is there a way to select your dungeon size? so far every one i've done has been small. Is it because I'm soloing?

My thoughts exactly. Im lucky to get maybe 10-14 tokens per game, the Frost Tomb is 70k. I'm looking at maybe 1000 Games (5000 if its 10-14 ALL THE WAY THRU) JUST for the book. it scales up. Im level 38 and getting somewhere around 100 tokens per level at the moment. by the way i know this is off topic but what's the hyt chat now?

I wonder if it could be Dragonkin themselves? Maybe even the solid body form of Zamorak? As he isn't allowed to have any effect on the world, he may have hidden himself away? Dragon Dragons Portal to the maharajat home plane of existence (hence all the portals talked about in the notes) There really is nothing to go on at the moment except that whatever it is is powerful enough to create rifts between dimensions in which monsters have been able to travel through. I'm 100% positive it's the dragon kin themselves the ring of KINship The ring of kinship is highly resistant to fire, similar to the dragonkin ring. Perhaps someone should try using it on a mithril dragon =D? Bilrach describes the daemonheim statues as looking like the dragonkin There are dragons in the dungeon Bilrach seems to have an obsession with the dragonkin Bilrach describes the kin as "guardians of the artefact" and the "enders of the great war" That has just hit me. The 'enders of the great war. I remember reading it and not thinking much of it at the time. Could there be a chance of it referring to the Godwars? If so, would not the guthix awaking and ending the war be a giant conspiracy. Not if The way Guthix ended the war was by summoning the Dragonkin.

I agree, I think opening the level caps is the key first step in being able to introduce new higher level content into the game. New metals beyond rune possible to be mined, higher hp allowing for more powerful weapons, new potions etc etc etc. Not to mention with the exception of rewards and item binding dungeoneering content stops at 69, that leave a huge area to add to and improve it. I'd expect to see a new release associated with dungeoneering withing the next few weeks-couple months. I reckon having ways to change the properties of existing armour and weapons would have more depth than simply inventing more metals and tacking it on to the higher levels. This could include the ones that aren't player made as well. Mmm, I like where this is going. As far as metals, I was thinking of smithing which has rune capping it out at 99. Obviously a flawed skill but now with it set as is for so long they can't very well lower the level requirements to make room for newer, better things to smith. They're left with little choice but to remove the cap on smithing if they want to add in new content which is better than rune (which honestly, unless you're f2p or a low level is pretty useless)

I'm not talking single skill training, but only playing for a few hours a day(after the first day which i was on for quite awhile) I've gained over 500k xp spread out over almost every skill. Sure some people like to focuson one so they see frequent level gains, but where else can you simultaneously train basically every single skill at that rate?
-
I thought you were done with this thread?... I think they do have some idea as to what their players want, but they could get some more opinions. Personally I'm enjoying the skill, and the 512k xp i've gotten solely through this skill in the past 4 days doesn't hurt either. Efit: that brings up a point, everyone is talking about how slow the experience is, has anyone stopped to consider all the experience in other skills by doing this one? I think i you factor in all experience gained this may be one of the fastest ways to gain XP in the game.

The prestige system is just how many individual floors you've gone through without repeating one. So if you're able to go through the first 15 floors at will and start on the first then when you finish the 15th your prestige level would be 15. If at that point you can't reach the 16th floor yet, then you can press reset and it will save your prestige level so if you started back from the beginning your prestige level would be 15 as long as you didn't do the same floor more than once. (to simplify it's how many floors you've done in a row without repeating any, and if you repeat one then it reverts to 0, so if you have no choice but to repeat because your level is too low then it's best to reset and start back from the first floor. Doing the highest floor you can reach over and over will slow down your experience significantly. I think that may be why so many people think the xp is so slow) So currently my previous prestige is 5 and my current prestige is 2. The max floor I can play is 7. Last night I logged off which means I need to start over. Should I reset my prestige and start from floor 1 or should I start from floor 3? I would continue from the 3rd floor. you don't have to restart from the beginning if you log out, just make sure you don't go to a floor you've already finished since the last time you reset.

it's trying to party with yourself, not play.

Quite welcome. O(ff)T: to whom it may concern, how come we don't talk anymore? I hope it's not because i was beating you at scrabble that day....

Honestly, I agree with both sides. This functions much more like a minigame than a skill. Also it does get repetitive just going through nearly identical looking rooms killing monsters and trying to get the resources for halfway decent equipment so you can kill the boss. That being said I've been soloing it and actually enjoying the break from the rest of the game. I find it to be pretty fun. I think that as is it's a poor excuse for a skill, but with some integration and additions which allow the levels, rather than just the rewards to be useful then it could be a really good skill. I also don't find the experience rate to be that slow, i've been pretty much gaining a level from each level of the dungeon I pass. When I get to the point that I can't reach the next floor yet I reset and go back through from the beginning, seems to work well for me so far. My biggest complaint is about the rewards. The token system is far beyond unbalanced. The skill rewards tokens equal to 10% of the experience you gain each level. So in order to earn every reward a player would need to have 28,390,000xp. That's a bit ridiculous in my opinion. It translates to 4m xp worth of tokens for just one of the shields, and that's only if you never use your tokens on any other reward.

if you're solo you flip them all really quickly. if not each person flips a lever simultaneously

worlds biggest game? if you look at the number of squares and counted them all the entire map of runescape is equal to 2 or 3 zones in wow (although it feels smaller because you move a lot faster in it) . Another issue is half the areas are empty anyways, for Runescape to be in theory the worlds biggest game it would have to be 10's of times bigger then it is already. I just dont see that happening ....not the biggest map. biggest as in most popular.

i hate that you have to have a fire cape to fight these guys, I've never had any desire to do the fight caves, but now it looks like i have to. -..-

It's just another evony/empirecraft/kingory clone to be honest. I'll play it for a bit and then quit. I dislike the notion of paying for an ingame advantage. Honestly I'm shocked Jagex put their name to this as they have historically been utterly against being able to use real money to gain an in game advantage in their games. Seems very much unlike the jagex we've come to know.
