  1. You could try IE 8 if you really want to stick with Microsoft's browsers, though I'd say just to switch to Opera, Firefox, or Chrome.
  2. Hey Rick, Go with a MacBook, especially if you're doing editing and stuff, just make sure your software is compatible! If that doesn't work, you can always run Vista on it.
  3. Aww, goodbye 26 proto-tools. :(
  4. I enjoy the game, but I didn't enjoy getting my stats that got me where I am. These stats allow me to do a lot of what Runescape has to offer. In short, my stats and items are what make this game fun for me.
  5. To add to Paw's post, if you're on a laptop, you'll need to press "fn" and "prt sc."
  6. You did do the quest, correct?
  7. Yes it is, in some situations.
  8. I say that we'll reach some speed above the speed of light, perpetually making us younger. We shall never die. :ugeek:
  9. You probably have a ton of crap running in the background. His computer setup might not be new, but it's not bad either, ESPECIALLY for playing Runescape. It's all about how clean you keep your computer. Runescape will run fine on a computer 10 years old, it's not that amazing. I'm running Vista on performance mode rather than GUI. I can run Runescape HD fine, without much lag, although without anti-aliasing. I suppose I underrated my machine at the time, or overrated the original statment. Aero does basically nothing to performance. I've found that turning it off drops my benchmark FPSs by 2% or so. I can run 1920X1200 easily @ 50 FPS in most areas on my lappy, and my desktop can probably break 300 without a cap. Upgrade your Java version? It's current. My laptop is now running at 32% for background processes. When I switched from GUI, my RAM usage dropped 6%, so I just decided to keep it off.
  10. Out of that "block," or so I assume.
  11. I believe Runescape is made up of individual "blocks" of spaces. For example, a monster will only be set to wander in its "block." You just kinda have to figure out where it ends and begins. The loading screen can sometimes be a hint, if you get that. I've just kind of accepted this through trial and error, so if I'm wrong I'm open to being corrected. Sorry I can't give a more direct answer.
  12. I hate to post off-topic...But, you play I Wanna Be the Guy to? :o I got to the level with Mike Tyson, and can't get passed that. Frustration games ftl. :wall:
  13. You do, the farmer only ensures that your tree will be free of disease.

Then don't bother. Fire tiaras and lava runes were only ~50k exp at best. Not to mention the hoards of money that went into it. Just craft runes. Tiaras aren't cost efficient.
  15. If you're asking which is more efficient, crush or ranged, then answer is simply crushed. Waterfiends ranging is a hassle, at level 86 at least. The meleer, a few level under me, got 2 or 3 kills before I got one.
  16. Runecrafting
  17. When was this? They may have been broken recently... I know they worked at one time as I remember a thread that had values (which I cannot seem to locate now) and since my friend used them for 80 Crafting (as I am planning on doing!). Maybe a week or so ago? It was after the announcement, which I found odd.
  18. Stealing Creations :D
  19. I didn't get any when I was crafting. That said, I also used the same needle for 12k green hides, without transforming it. I was kinda confused. :?
  20. That which you are referring to is commonly known as cancer, rather than organ failure. But you're correct in both senses: it codes itself, which means it codes itself wrong. Which indeed means that the Fountain of Youth does exist, in a metaphorical approach - in genetics. Furthermore, this means that once efforts have been accomplished to "fix" this common genetic malfunction, one could theoretically live until a new source of death arrives. And believe me, efforts are certainly being made.

  22. Hell, I'm not sure I want to make it to 70. So I guess my answer is no, I don't.
  23. If they're too afraid to stand up for what they believe in then why should anyone be expected to be sympathetic? Where did I say they didn't stand up for what they believe in? I honestly have no idea how you got that from what I said. http://daywithoutagay.org/ I'm kinda confused to. It's not that people don't stand up, it's because they can't. The church and extremist views have crushed gays by saying it's a sin. Not only that, but legally, gays can be fired for being gay, they are still not allowed to give blood, not to mention the other countless "side affects" that come with legally being gay.
  24. Java is a needy resource and is separate from Firefox. Why do you want to slow it down? If you want to free up memory, the only real option is to upgrade.
