  1. It has protein, yes, but that can be gained from other forms of food. Meat also has a lot of fat, which isn't entirely healthy. And then you have to think of the possible consequences, high levels of metals such as mercury and lead, being undercooked, and the off chance of worms. Seriously, if what you mean by brain worms then you are seriously ill informed. Brain worms are only present in certain varieties of pork and the odds of you getting them are about 5 million:1. Unless you eat your pork right off the cow without cooking it, don't worry. There are many different forms of worms that can be present in many types of meat. Yeah, these worms are eliminated due to the health standards in most countries, and brain worms and the other worms are largely the same thing, just have different methods of transportation throughout the body. Health standards or not, its quite common in almost any human. I don't beleive you're correct when you say that all worms are nearly identical; that only their means of transportations differ. You should know that they can cause different symptoms and ailments and effect different areas of the body. They come in many sizes and shapes and lay eggs at varying rates. They're just about as different as any other species. You'll find that the worms that cause the most trouble are worms that try to infiltrate the brain-blood barrier. The species of worm that is the most successfull is the tapeworm. Now, the reason you don't understand why worms are not a threat is that the only way for a worm to infiltrate your brain or other internal organs is for you to swallow the eggs of the worm, this comes from not cooking your pork, if the actual worm is inside you there won't be any consequences that cannot be fixed. A brain worm will cause seizures and will kill you very easily, however since in most countries we eat our pork, we shouldn't worry. That doesn't really matter though. I was talking about common forms of worms, not something that's ultimately going to kill you. I understand how we obtain worms, through ingestion of eggs from undercooked meat. But statistics point to a large array of people worldwide having these parasites. They can cause disorders, pain, respiratory problems, liver failure, etc. It is a large problem, and one that goes unnoticed, especially in first world countries where we think that the food we eat is magically sterile.
  2. Well, assuming you're in school and looking for a present for a friend, I assumed you were under 17.
  3. I always take kindly to flowers. At least five men in my life get them for me each year, so I don't feel much attachment sentimentally to them. Though, I suppose she might not take that the same way. If he's on a budget and lack of transportation I'm assuming he's on, I doubt many of those are viable options. :-$ Or, if you can buy her jewelry, take her to Jared. :twss:

Amongst the most common forms are that of Cestoda.
  6. You lose all form of cholesterol, which isn't healthy, as well as protein. I know you're right about the vitamin deficiency, but I can't seem to find anything.
  7. Regardless, that's not really going faster than light, you're merely beating it to the point by taking a shorter distance. When we say the speed of light, usually it refers to c, the speed of light in a vacuum. Hm. I have this idea (though it may be completely stupid): They are trying to figure out the nature of a field that makes certain objects have mass, am I right? The field of Higgs bosons? Would it be possible to create mass-free conduits through space in order to travel at light speed? Yes, yes, I've heard something similar to that recently. I believe you are correct when it comes to the Higgs particle, that it would help us understand why objects attain their mass. Though, I was out of school when I learned that, so I can't go in depth with you there. When you get down that low, things get a bit quirky (pun intended). :P Correct, so you're not going faster, you're just getting their faster. This is a perfect theory, but it misleads people into thinking that you're actually traveling faster than light. While in reality, your displacement is staying the same, the only thing that would change is distance.

  9. Did it, used 3160 or something.
  10. You sign waivers, but there's usually nothing that you sign, other than from experimental trials, that let a doctor bypass malpractice. So yes, if he did, you could most likely sue. Unless you belong to a government force, such as the Army, in which case you could not.
  11. Hm, how do we know the universe is expanding? Maybe Earth is being sucked into the center. I'm pretty sure theorists took into account that kind of situation. They didn't figure this out by measuring speeds of celestial objects moving far away relative to the Earth, they made it relative to some theoretical center-point. At least, that's what I think they did. I'm sure that such a simple mistake wouldn't have been made by these guys though. It's called the Doppler Effect. Imagine a train moving towards you, the whistle it blows is a high pitch. Now it's moving away from you, and the sound becomes lower along with the frequency. Now, we can use this to tell if objects that are moving away from us, except it uses light. When objects are moving closer, the light has smaller space between it's troughs, and appears red on a Doppler scale. If it's moving away, the space between troughs and peaks are farther apart and appears blue on the scale. Another example is used at hospitals, to measure blood flow. Yeah, I know that. But that doesn't answer Lenticular's question fully. Aha! Lenticular, things are moving away from us, right? Well, it's not like the speeds are universally the same for every object we see--otherwise we'd be the center of the Universe. With all the different speeds, scientists could extrapolate pathways of bodies and figure out a 'center'. Right? Because we can use this effect on multiple galaxies and see that nearly all of them are moving away from us. That and the fact that the farther away a galaxy is from us, the faster it moves.

  13. Ok sorry, I misunderstood or read it wrong. Second time on the page, hah. -.-
  14. You guys are focusing to much on the word "losing" which he never said. At the very worst, they operate on the other foot and find that it's perfectly fine. They close it up and start on the other.
  15. You're practically arguing against your own point. You say it isn't a choice and then you ask why would anyone want that. Obviously they don't want to be bullied, but if it's not a choice, what choice do they have? :|

  18. I like to think of Runescape like it's a town. Once the coal mines are established, it booms. Along with it comes economic boosts and thus more opening for making money. The same can be applied to Runescape. That said, I like Runescape as it is now.
  19. It didn't matter, it was only possible to get one tool per game. So the only thing you could ever use those points for was armor.
  20. I just tried Avira to disprove these spells of AVG horror. But I discovered that my memory usage dropped 10%.
  21. Unless it has "Chemistry" on the front, I don't read at all.
  22. Why am I not surprised.
  23. I seem to have the opposite. I never have immature conversations anymore.
