  1. What do the ratings stand for? Quad 6600? I too was put off by the high cost of the processor.. but I'm still dieing for that 2.83 I just need some extra cash. PS. Would anyone recommend after i get my comp, to get a better quality Processor fan? Because some of the reviews says it gets hot. You're not going to notice the difference, especially without using a previous quad to it's max. Not to mention the fact that you could easily overclock the Q6600 to like 3.0Ghz on air cooling. I do think it's better to buy now, than upgrade later. But, if that's what you want, you should buying a Core i7.
  2. The economy has peaks and troughs all the time. This time people just got scared and pulled all their money from the bank. The banks gave out loans while everything was fine, and then when people withdrew they had much less money and pulled the stocks. We can't nor shouldn't expect the government to bail us out every time; it will eventually recover. And again, what do those have to do with policing other countries? We have specialized branches that carry our their own duties. Cutting funding isn't all to great of idea, especially when something more drastic comes around. And, correct me if I'm wrong, but did the government not come out and say that the housing market would suffer, as well as the stock market? This also leads to the point where America is showing continuous traits of communism. The government can only do so much.[/hide] They have everything to do with policing other countries. And giving them aid. War is always going to cost money and the less wars we have the better. Not because of "peace", but of saving money that's not even technically ours thanks to the debt we have. While the economic situation today is bad but cannot be instantly fixed, I was referring more to the whole thing about losing value of the dollar. The euro has more worth than us...I'm sorry to say this, but screw you Europe and let us have the top economy again! We were so powerful with all the exports coming from us, then now it comes from China? When did it go wrong? We didn't necessarily go wrong anywhere, as no country is free from economic turmoil. We've been in debt since Andrew Jackson took office. And the last president in office that balanced the budget was Bill Clinton, because he raised taxes (and it was during the technological boom, so he could afford to). Generally speaking though, our spending isn't that bad on a ratio of import:exports, even if we are borrowing some of it. The value of a dollar will eventually go back up, most countries have experienced this problem multiple times. Though I can't deny that the war is a bank-breaker.
  3. Which is why I theorized quite awhile ago, that the smallest unit in any specific particle is pure energy.

This also leads to the point where America is showing continuous traits of communism. The government can only do so much. Well of course, we're in a recession. It's not as if the government can control that either, and the war certainly has little to do with it. If anything, it's making jobs.
  5. Fixed. What's wrong?
  6. You know, George is going to have a better light shed on him in the upcoming years. You know why? Because he got results. And you don't have to win the popularity contest to get them. We have an almost never endless appeal system. It's what makes our trials great, to give possibility to those either jailed wrongly and even correctly. However, the appeal system is it's own weakness; we can't go through it all to quickly. But as such is practically the main point of democracy, it's designed to be inefficient. Furthermore, you're not going to be branded a terrorist if you don't agree with our policies. It's only those who take these policies to such extreme that they feel to make a statement through terror, thus the word "terrorist." No, we've just been so interlinked, if only by making ourselves that way, with the foreign world. Because of this, we feel that others should look towards our standards of human rights and justice, when in fact other forms work just as well. It doesn't matter. That's just media propaganda. During the war and pretty much all of his time in office, he pretty much acts as a spokesperson; someone we can point the finger at. Since the "war" in Iraq technically isn't a war, he hasn't been appointed those powers. Who you should really be pointing the finger at is Congress, if anyone.
  7. Have you ever had a quad core before? If not, I think a 9400 will be more than enough for you. Hell, a Q6600 would probably be more than enough. And I would recommend the Q6600, overclocks like a breeze and it's got a nice cache.
  8. You could hit 20 attacks, all with an added damage. But most consider that negated when someone hits you once for twenty damage. That lost defense[not in comparison to the Adamant Plate] is not worth it, nor is the time spent.
  9. People don't? I know I do. I'd rather buy a $30,000 car that gets 100mpg then a $20,000 car that only get 25. Efficiency drives most peoples lives and certainly economical decisions.
  10. Games such as Guild Wars charge a one time fee and provide huge amounts of updates along with continued development and maintenance, and it's way more profitable than Runescape. Clearly there is logic to such a subscription model or else the top players in the industry wouldn't be doing it. There is definitely a flaw in thinking that a player playing for many years would lose Jagex money, although as I'm not a businessman (yet), I can't explain it to you fully. But if the upfront cost was about 3 years worth of membership, then Jagex would only start "losing money" 3 years after the payment. In that time they could've easily doubled that initial payment's value through investments, making up for future membership costs of that member and more. But if they can't get new members at a same rate, then they begin to plummet. In the long run, the $5 is way more profitable.
  11. I'm going with Outsanity on this one. If it's not in development now, they sure have considered it.
  12. I don't know how Runescape was before Summoning. It's just helped so much this year, I don't know how it was possible to play without it.
  13. Mmk, that's what i was leaking towards anyways, as the other one seemed kinda cheap. Well thanks.. only a few more pieces left. One question though.. sound.. is there anything for it? or is it just the quality of your speakers? Sound cards. But you'll only notice sound cards when you have a really good speaker setup. You might hear more frequencies, but integrated sounds cards have evolved enough to do handle most sounds. You don't need one.
  14. I hate it because it's pointless and ridiculous right now. Whatever. I'll stick through four years of nothing so I get a piece of paper and a square hat. Whoopee. Laura, how could you. A Texas summer is not something to be wasted. (Where did you live here, anyways? We're kinda a big state.) Hey, good deal for me. The end of my weekend is usually devoted to said fun times. The first part is hanging out with friends. San Antonio. When I left, they were only just building a new high school with AC. Which is surprising considering the fact that they're getting funding from the state and the military.
  15. I'm going to support this statement instead. Get school over with in the summer and never have to pay for heating bills. And none of my schools ever had AC, even in Texas.
  16. Hypochondriacs, unite!
  17. If capitol punishment is even a viable option, then parole and other forms of rehabilitation are slim or excluded. I support it for those who have life in prison without these options.
  18. I hate to seem like I'm hijacking this thread, but will my ATI Radeon 3450 256MB not work well with a 1080p resolution monitor? I recently bought one, scheduled for delivery soon. But I know that the card at least supports 1080p with the HDMI port, so what will I be missing out on with a "sub-par" card?
  19. It's either one of two things then: They sit for the rest of their lives in jail, with free food, shelter, and an orderly schedule while taking away the tax payer's money. Or they can be given capital punishment. I prefer the latter. Though I am aware that not everyone has the same views as me, but I think I'd rather die than be placed in jail for the remainder of my life.
  20. Chemistry and Physics. I'll just say chemistry, as I'm studying a more specific sub branch of it.

What's the point of a hobby if you're already doing what you love to do (Photography, guitar, TV, movies, and the computer)? Are you truly bored or want variation? Or are you only looking into new hobbies because your parents what you to do "better" things in your time?
  22. I use it a lot when I draw. In fact, I used it earlier this morning.
  23. Some people can be happy in misery. And I'm almost certain I've had to ask myself the exact same thing, Necro. I've not yet come to an answer, and probably never will. I'm not sure I've found a reason to live in a world filled with turmoil and sorrow. And I'm not depressed, or what I consider to be "depressed," so don't give me that. Some day, this world, or our world, has to end.
  24. And Construction does the same thing, except it can be shown off to friends. Saying it's worthless or expensive is to relative and a poor argument at best.
