if u are p2p and want to own him i suggest sticking to magic, range and def. for example ive 99 def, 97 range, 95 magic. most of the time he would be standing in an ice box chilling out :-w if he changed to range outfit simply switch to range attack too so that it is pretty even...even if he does get a few hits on you hopefully your 99 def will block the worse of it...and even then just cast a burst and run a few steps away... well if you are on f2p...what can i say? range and magic are both rather undeveloped as compared to melee...unless of course the difference between your lvls are tremendous...one may say that low lvl mage can win warriors easily but when warriors get to above 59 str/attack...they hit more. when mages get to above 59 mage...their max damage do not increase.

once you get 70 range you will be able to wear black d hide vambs and legs which give MUCH more range exp than green...crystal bow after doing the rolving elves quest/magic short bow/karil xbow are all much btr weapons than...maple shortbow too :-w dark bow is more for pking or staking too there are much more range spots with better rewards and many other functions in member world...however the downside is that you will never be able to fully enjoy them if you only train range and not the other skills...ill recommend a main with all rounded skills if you really want to make the BEST out of membership...

you say that revolving around money will be the downfall of runescape...then you might as well go kill yourself now cause the world revolves around money too...does that mean the world is gonna crash and burn? tell me a MMORPG that does not revolve around money...for all the other online games which ive played, ive yet to encounter one which does not involve money for goodness sake...without money we would have reverted to the INEFFICIENT barter trade. maplestory, granado espada, WoW all revolve around money too in case you didnt know. you mentioned that getting a high lvl in a particular skill means nothing to you than a waste of time. well to me it means a certain character which has been instilled in the player...TIME is not the only thing which you need to get that 99. im sure n0valyfe played a lot less than many other ppl but the fact that he managed to achieve 1st (for a brief moment) in the hiscores show that time isnt all that is needed to achieve 99 in a skill...one requires patience and perseverance as well dude...

wth? stop jumping to conclusions dude...ive been around since rsc and have played rs for at least 4 years now...i hate it when ppl jump to conclusions without giving any proof or evidence of any sort...exactly like what jagex writes in their messages when you appeal...and i was around when santa hats were dropped FYI. and you say ive never pked...have you even looked me up in the high scores yet? checked my mage/range lvl yet? in case you didnt its 95/97...not saying that its high or anything but yes ive pked if u wanna know...and most definitely much more than the amount of pk trips the average runescaper has gone on...ive pked in BOTH rsc and rs2 in case you were wondering too...so now lets talk about who is a product of rs2 and has been playing for a longer time and has pked more times... :-w by the way that was a rather immature, one-liner reply that generalises.

i think videos are a great way to enlighten another player on how something (such as killing jad) is done...instead of merely describing the process in a guide because like they say, a picture says a thousand words. anyway i thought there are many other video uploaders like file front mega upload etc...i wouldnt know why jagex would want to interfere with youtube though...of course unless the vid was about some rule breaking...but i doubt they have so much time as to browse through all the runescape videos on youtube :-w

opps sorry forgot the lvl requirement for cbow was 70 range...you tend to forget these type of things when you have surpassed that lvl eons ago and get stuck getting to 99 range :-w yea even if u keep walking around the accumulator will still pick up your arrows provided that there is no obstacle in between you and the arrows (i m pretty sure but not 100%) the lousier one attracts iron while the upgraded one attracts steel (if i got my facts right :P )

it is PERFECTLY legal to log in on multiple accounts provided you do not do so simultaneously btw...just thought it would be good to clarify since not everyone may know that...anyway i doubt they will check much. for one, there must be at least a few hundred accounts with similar IP address and i seriously do not think they will purposely track an account to study its log in time and compare and contrast it with that of another account...im sure they have much better things to do which would incur greater benefit into the community as a whole than to check for multiple logging-in...if u ask me ill say they may just close one eye at times.

but no one can conclude that you are doing multiple log ins just because 2 accounts have the same IP address...this is because there is something called a...router :thumbsup: so if your house has a router and 2 computers...you and your friend/brother/sister/grandfather could be playing at the same time on different accounts with the same IP and it would be 100% legal.

perhaps not a specific time period if not it will just be a matter of time before everyone gets that item. instead jagex could reward all those accounts which have been around since rsc...yes i know there are scythes and stuff but wouldnt it be cool if you had that circular halo picture of a pickaxe when mining once again? so as someone suggested wearing that cape could make you revert to the classic way of life \ besides, even if ppl have scythes how many ppl do u see going around with them each day? those are pretty useless since they have no function nor are tradable...

you guys ask for a use of multiple logging in? well it can have many uses in my opinion, such as when moving newbie lvl 3 accounts to the rune rocks to act as a spy when world changing or if both your accounts have a reasonable fishing lvl you can get lobbies at twice the rate within the same amount of time or say sharks for that matter if you are willing to train them. and its really common sense on how to log in with 2 accounts at the same time just on different servers isnt it? man you guys talk like its a big deal..."im not going to tell you how to do it"...when i first started playing runescape classic at 9 years old i figured it out myself... :-w

if you dont wanna pick up the arrows use crystal bow on some high lvl monster like greaters at the orge enclave, blue dragons at taverly, green dragons in the wild and stuff.

jjrox32: as you said, the fun in pking is RISKING millions of gp worth of items...NOT LOSING millions of gp worth of items... People fight to experience the risk. They teleport to avoid the loss...get it? need further explanation? so are you saying that if you experience the risk of losing millions gp worth of items AND indeed really lose the items it will be fun? obviously it will only be fun to one party right...please think a bit first. besides there are no rules in the wild...and 123yourgone if you like rsc pking that much why not just go back and play rsc? =;

yup, same thing as platebody...there was a time in rsc where females had different platebody armour from males and there was a guy who could change it for you in verrock but like the skirt to platelegs function, he is no longer able to.

i dont think world hopping affects the growth of the tree.

you could also consider the skeletons and ankous at SOS...there is a safe spot which u can use...quite a handful of ppl use it to train range too.

casting my first barrage spell in cw, getting 4 v helms from barrows within 20 trips and getting 2 guthan spears within 15 trips. oh the first time i got a double barrow reward was great too...really surprised me. although the value of the 2 items was only around 2M it was a surprise for me to get 2 items. and a long time ago when i was a non member i was really proud when i finished dragon slayer with 43 combat :

it does help against p2p as well i think...saved me countless times when mining rune in the wild...no one has been able to kill me if ive 40+ prayer, around 8 lobs and 100% energy. a 126 tried and i managed to run/walk to lvl 20 wild with extra pray (i didnt pray all the way) and used only around 8 lobbies. note that i was carrying around 20 rune rocks at that time so my weight was around 50+ so 100% energy didnt last more than 10 lvls in the wild.

your food DOES ROT even if u take the boat...on average around 1 food will rot every trip thought sometimes none and sometimes 2 food will rot. i recommend just ignoring the effect and banking at burt de rott...if you are so concerned you could just drink those pots since not many ppl buy them (i exchanged all my agility pots for filled vials with a player instead of emptying them then filling them with water) another option, like i mentioned earlier, would be to kill yourself periodically.

most ppl prefer to use knives since they are easier to make...darts are okie i guess although a bit more troublesome to make...just use knives. knives and darts are mainly for monsters with a lower def and high hp so that you can kill them quickly and hit fairly accurately. arrows will work better on monsters with more def like dragons...or u could use bolts with anti drag fire shield too

yup its really fast...i used it to train from 87 to 94 mage...took about 1 week or so cause i didnt do it the whole day but did other stuff too. dont bother getting the dragonstones on the floor or the bonus shape cause by the time you got 94 mage i assure you you will have more than reached the max number of pizazz point (16k) you should be able to get a small amount of death and bloods too to help you barrage once you get 94 mage ;)

there are also skeletons available in certain rooms which u can manipulate to turn them into a safe spot which u can range the brothers...however it requires a bit of skill and practice which is why not many ppl use them...tipit's barrow guide does mention them but doesnt elaborate due to the risks...ive used them before though and found them quite useful at times.

just store up a replacement of every single item ( i usually try to store more than 10 just in case and be careful to always leave one item of each item in your bank inside if not you will lose the space)

even after you can take the boat there is still a chance of your food going mouldy...although most of the time this doesnt happen all that often. i thought most ppl dont bother to recharge prayer but just bank at the nearby town and have a sip of prayer pot...well one option would be to go get killed on purpose by dharok/verac etc after you have banked everything in the nearby town to restore your agility back to normal...
