if you use a cannon AND melee at the same time you can get four skills up at the same time: range, attack/str/def or all if u use controlled, HP and slayer. so i guess if you want the max amount of skills to go up at the same time it will be 6 skills :D

remember to bring an anti-dragon shield along too and NEVER EVER disturb the orge shaman there...talk to him and he will hit u a nice 20. fight him and you will die :-w just so to give u an estimate of the price of crystal bows, for the first 5 recharges ON AN AVERAGE, 2.5M divide by (2500 X 5) = 200gp per shot fired. im talking about the average here btw. from then on it cost 180k per recharge so 180, 000 divided by 2500 = 72 per shot. take note that just like bolt racks each shot only has one use. for arrows although it may cost more, you can re-use them many more times. using a rune cbow with mithril bolts should work fine too. dont use ruby (e) as these are better for high HP monsters such as the steel drags.

he doesnt want a guide to barrows...he wants to know the stats he should get and whether he should up them. you should be okie doing barrows just make sure you use prayer against all the brothers, at least for the first few runs. and 50 monks wont last you for more than 4 trips so go fish/buy more. the number of pray doses you will use depends on your prayer lvl. mine is 61 and i usually use around 4 doses of prayer pot (2 on karil and 2 on dharok unless dharok is my tunnel bro then i dont have to use prayer: safe spot). i use 4 doses cause i dont go to an alter to recharge prayer but i suggest you do that if you are tight on cash. i wouldnt suggest buying whip cause you dont really need melee stats for barrows and i advise you not to take a whip into the barrows...when i first started out i took a rune scim :D but you can take a d long/scim if you feel more courageous. of course if you are thinking of training def just buy the whip, train def up then sell it for money to buy supplies. it is perfectly fine to wear full rune and use slayer dart on all the brothers (except ahrim) as their magic def is low. besides, it will protect you better in the tunnel and you should not carry mystic robes and full rune and range outfit as it just takes up too much space and if you die your losses will be much more. and it is important to use full rune when fighting guthan cause even if u pray he can still heal on you (although you wont take any damage) ahrim may prove to be a bit of a trouble for your range level but just use pray pots and you should be fine as he can hit consistent 10-20s. i think im one of those few ppl who take him on without prayer...but then ive 99 def, 95 magic and 97 range so he dies fairly fast. to end of, deaths are expected at the barrows (especially against dharok the WRETCHED) so do be prepared to lost some items. i think ive died 3 times there so far but that was at a much lower lvls. dont worry though even if your luck is average you should be able to more than cover your losses with a spear/g helm or v helm.

well done...nice idea since so many f2p ppl fish at karamaja. however if you have more money to spare u could buy raw lobs from members, cook them and then sell to non members for roughly around the same price at edge or varrock west bank. if you you are not a member and you decide to cook lobs (no rouge's fire) a good place would be lumbridge bank at the 3rd floor of the castle. cause free logs will respawn there so u dont have to waste an inventory space. :)

yea so safers dont get pkers...err i must be suffering from amnesia, remind me what has that got to do with you again? its the safers issue if he likes to pk safe cause that is his style. you cant get someone to change his/her style for you. even though what you say may benefit them in getting more kills but it may also cause them to die and lose their items too right. imo "safers" are just created by pkers whose victims have evaded them many times resulting in the pkers feeling frustrated but since they are not willing to take higher risks to go into higher lvl wild they stay at lvl 1 wild calling ppl safers when they dont dare to go to the higher lvl wilds? they call ppl safe so that once their opponents hp is below 2/5 "switch to dds and dish out 4 specs" which has a pretty high chance of killing the opponent... whats wrong with safeing anyway? unless you are dharoking it will serve as a double edged sword (means can have both advantages and disadvantages) and ppl who safe are just simply trying to avoid those disadvantages.

there will always be ppl who are willing to pay a high price for rares as can be seen from the price tag of blue party hats...and the sale of rares do not usually take place in game but get auctioned on the forums. now do u see the number of posts in the rares forum dropping? no right...in fact i would say it is increasing as more and more money flows into the game and ppl get richer...i really wonder of all the people who said rares are gonna be extinct one day how many of them really do own a rare themselves...although i own 3 santas i feel that this perspective is one which is rather impartial.

err thats precisely the reason for this thread isnt it? o.O magic is supposed to own melee in the combat triangle and it does but ONLY in members which is why f2p needs btr mage equipment to balance out the combat triangle. one rune scim has more attack bonus than all the mage equip put together and ppl say its balanced :-w and txlnghorns22 just because someone owns a computer doesnt mean u are rich enough to pay for members...i see no link nor logic in your argument. thats a totally sweeping statement...besides there are other reasons given why ppl cant get membership in the author's first post...please READ before you start opening your mouth

haha im talking about without going to any alter to recharge your prayer...so usually ill use 2 doses on karil (kill him first) and with left over pray go do dharok and use another pray does = 3 doses although sometimes i drink another dose cause u cant be too safe around dharok...ive died to him at least twice but ironically ive never died to him when i use ancients oh yea i think ill switch to monks but only after ive finished using the lobs since i bought quite a large amount of raws to train cooking. instead of using all sharks u could bring like 3/4 monks and 1/4 sharks since sharks are like way more expensive and should only be used in emergency cases such as ahrim or verac getting lucky when u arent using prayer. for dharok if he gets lucky...just click on the ectophial dont even try and run up the tomb/heal/side step him in tomb.

actually there are a few more safe spots which not many ppl know and even less ppl use due to the risk involved. tip it guide does mention that they are aware of it but didnt go into detail due to the risks. it is actually using the skeletons in the room as a safe spot by luring the brother to one side before quickly running over to the other side...i suggest trying it out with the other monsters first before using it on the brothers. it is not difficult actually...just requires a little practice and as there are skeletons in so many rooms it will enable you to save a dose or 2 of pray pot. ive used these safe spots to kill dharok plenty of times :)

err no no :shame: with his stats i dont recommend doing any of the brothers without prayer as u will just waste a lot of food...maybe even more than if u simply used ppots...ive 99 def and there have been occasions when torag hits me 20+ twice in a row...although ppl say verac can hit through prayer, with a low def lvl and no pray he wil probably be hitting you a few 20+...and unless you have a high mage and def lvl dont range ahrim without prayer...he can hit consistent 20. i wear full blk d hide, 95 mage, 99 def and dont use pray but he can still hit 20+ quite often...usually need at least 1-2 lobs for ahrim without pray. take note that for guthan wear your best melee armour AND pray since even if u pray he can still heal himself on u. i would really suggest raising your stats but since you say u are rich then splurge on the ppots...but then again most probably u will be making a lost. if you raised your stats first you...i usually complete one whole trip with 1 pray pot (4 doses) that is when i start with 0 prayer. if i used ancients...at most 1 dose only ;)

i must have done the quest at least 2 years now...i cant remember much but i do remember that there is a food stall which sells curry (i think) so bring some gp...when i did it i brought a ring of life which proved to be useful since i couldnt teleport out (no home tele at that time) so when i got to 3 hp: lumby

thats around 35M...for me i think i used a mixture of pc, ranging all slayer task and chins to get from 60+ to 97 (nearly 98 now) range...the amount of chins which i actually used was less than 5k even though i bought like 10k since i relied a lot on the other 2 methods...i think ill just heck about saving cost and use chins for the last stretch

yea...very soon ppl will be asking jagex to allow jad to be their pet as a reward for completing the fight caves too :-w c'mon i dont see how dogs add value to the game...cats were simply part of a quest and a bit for entertainment (although im sure many ppl beg to differ as they are irritating at places such as pc, rc alters and the ilk....) must well have a mithril dragon to fly me around too

i hate it when ppl pk me at the rune rocks and ive NO rune ores at all...like JUST reached the place...i usually only bring rune kite, pick, legs and body so if you kill me after ive eaten all my lobs you will get...a falador teleport spell WOW! :D RICH RICH!!! and the thing is that i hate running away when ive nothing to lose since ill be wasting time, energy and will still need to walk all the way back to lvl 45 wild zzz.

d skirt imo since it has the same stats as d legs, is cheaper than d legs and dh legs, and doesnt require repairing costs: the cost difference between d skirt and dh legs will increase over time. of course if you are rich then by all means go buy dh legs and keep repairing but then again if you are really rich you will jus buy a guthan set and use it whenever required which means your choice of armour is no longer that important and u can train for as long as u like. guthans ftw when training slayer

Stay F2P! More of an achievement to be F2P. haha NO dont stay f2p...with the amount of exp you have gained i must say you should be pretty bored of f2p by now...p2p will open up many more options for you. I recommend getting around 3M first so that you can get your hands on some good equips such as abby whip, a few glories, drag skirt (same stats as drag legs but MUCH cheaper) and other stuff. yea do all of the quests necessary to open up new doors for u in p2p...there is a guide on the tip it website on starting members...some useful skills to train include agility (benefit carries over into f2p), slayer, herblore and use the superior p2p equip to train range and magic too ;) remember to have fun!

i got my mining to 85 at the hobgobline mine in the wilderness...over there it is less crowded (wait i mean deserted for 98% of the time) and all there are 4 iron rocks all stuck together...the hobgoblins will also stop attacking u after a while so jus bring some food at the start...of course this is at lvl 32-35 wild so jus bring a rune pick, body, leg and kite and u shd be fine...rmb to protect item pray if some pker comes along and u wont lose anything... ive been mining a lot of rune these days as i find it is THE fastest way of earning a steady stream of income in f2p...if the worlds cooperate with me the best ive mined was 21 rune ores in an hour...around 250k worth. be careful of pkers though...im 112 with 99 def and have yet to see anyone kill me solo when ive more than 10 lobbies (i usually bring 13 lobbies, and a teleport spell set) of course ive died before when some clan logs in and piles me...zzz but overall ill say f2p wild is really a pretty safe place haha.... now to mine the rune rocks safely i suggest placing a scout at the other side of the lava maze...the lvl of this scout doesnt matter much. AND place a second scout AT the rune rocks since if you switch worlds immediately you will have to wait a while. i recommend your second scout at the rune rocks to be a mage pure...perhaps jus train till fire bolt. this way not only will u be able to kill any low lvl rune miners, other high lvl ppl will be unable to attack u too...on top of that, if you decide to drop lobbies for more space in order to mine more rune, your mage scout can pick them up... really to be honest, mining rune is one of the fastest if not THE fastest way for a steady income stream in f2p. all that matters is your experience in getting the rocks...ive mined over 500 rune ores already in slightly over a month's time

i would predict the price of dark bows to drop as more and more are being found and since it is only popular for a KO weapon...for training range ill still prefer the crystal bow or red chins as they give faster exp...and yea after the introduction of GWD most rangers will be going for the new set of range armour which gives the highest range bonus in the game :D

you will have to give us your stats to have more conclusive opinions...if you are pretty rich and have 94 mage like me :D i would suggest using ancients since you dont have to use pray pots except for karil...if you have high atk/str/def (around 85 or above in my opinion) by all means go melee them...just take note of your health as even with my 99 def torag has hit me a double 20+ in a row before although it is rather rare. talking about speed, ill say its much faster if u use barrage for dharok cause i can usually kill him within 6 hits (means i kill him before he even gets the chance to move) although once i miss or hit a zero ill take precautionary measures. but most of the time im able to hit around 25-30 rather consistently decked out in full ahrims. ancients ftw take note that it IS expensive though so unless you are confident of getting rewards consistently, conserve runes by using burst for all the other bros though i try to barrage them at the first hit to kill them faster since they freeze for a longer period.

actually to get 99 in skills such as cooking, fletching you do not loss a significant amount of money since you can sell the products of your training back to the community for an equal, if not only slightly lower price. of course that is if you sell and buy smart. mining, woodcut, fishing are all relatively easy to get...the only reason why most ppl dont get 99 in them is because it wont make a hell lot of difference! with 99 mining you dont really mine rune rocks A LOT faster than someone with 85 mining, nor do u 1-hit coal rocks so it is pretty pointless and not to mention boring (well actually can give credit for that :P) the skills which can be bought would be stuff like construction, prayer, herblore, farming and to some extent, slayer due to the use of cannon balls. i think one of the best would be quest cape too (although it is not technically a skill) since this requires a lot of patience and a plethora of skills in order to achieve. this would take a significant amount of time for anyone, especially a new player.

if you view a fun skill as one which allows you to do a variety of activities ill say that things like woodcutting, mining, firemaking are all dead boring skills. these skills are relatively easy to get to 99 and thus are not as respected as others. in my opinion a fun skill which gives u a relatively wider spread of activities as well as earn you a reasonable amount of money would be slayer as it is not monotonous as compared to standing at dranor cutting trees the whole dam day...also the drops from slayer monsters can get you quite a good pile...of course some say it is one of the hardest to train too but that makes me want to train it all the more as when you get the skill cape you will garner more respect than say a firemaking cape. another skill you could consider would be farming although depending on the way you train, you may require a large sum of money for the tree and fruit tree seeds.

sure ive heard of password crackers but for the pin number you have to CLICK on it not some bot doing it for you...anyway just like the current bank pin get it wrong 3 times and you will have to wait for a while to try again...on top of that i dont think a key logger can get your pin since the numbers rearrange themselves randomly and you are clicking on it NOT typing...and although the current setup is that the only things you can lose are those in your inventory imagine if you forgot to bank your stuff after killing jad, returning from a wonderful pk trip, playing pest control or castle wars? sometimes in a rush to go out or do something else irl one may forget to do something like that. even if its just to make sure you get to the bank quick after getting poisoned it will still be useful...there was once i died that way -.-

i doubt jagex will want to raise the skill cap anytime soon...cause it actually does entail a lot of work especially for skills which u can do a lot of things at different lvls like construction and crafting...so if u get 129 crafting wad can u make? obviously jagex would have to spend time thinking of such matters and make sure that whatever introductions do not make the game unbalanced...cant possibly have some godly ammy which resurrects u for any unlimited number of times o.O and they also cant possibly just increase the skill cap of one skill and ignore the rest...which means a whole lot of planning will entail for them...yea i agree they will be much btr off expanding the playing area, introducing btr items, new skills and quest...and perhaps somewhere in the LONG future, the skill caps will be increased...yea maybe when rs3 comes out 8-)
