dfs-worrth 20m-22m?
i admit the dfs is really useful in many situations especially at metal dragons since it gives tremendous melee def bonus and blocks out the dragon's fire as well when compared to the lousy normal anti-dragon breath shield... however i feel that like any "best item" it is overpriced in the game...it is the best shield no doubt about that and it is for this same reason which makes it overpriced...all the best items in the game are priced way higher than their next best alternative equipment such as godswords, bandos/armadyl armour compared to whip and karil/barrow/black d hide etc. of course you that is the high price one has to pay for the best items in the game but why spend such a large proportion of your money (2/3 in your case) on the dfs with more slightly more defense than the D sq? if you won't be going to the metal drags or boss hunting much i really suggest getting the drag sq instead as it is really good value for money when compared to the dfs...if you are just training your melee skills get the rune defender which lets you hit better than the dfs too albeit at the cost of taking more damage... just ask yourself if you will be making full use of the dfs and even then is it worth parting with 2/3 of your wealth for it? despite having over a 100M i still use my whip and rune def =P and invest my wealth instead...i bought around 50M worth of raw lobs and lobs the second the pvp announcement came out and am looking forward to reaping the bountiful harvest soon =P

making 18M also ZGS or armadyl and bandos?
hmm depends on how much you are going to cw and how important cw is to you...if you are a cw fanatic and really want to get like 1 million cw tix than the zgs is for you but other than for cw or boss killing the zgs doesn't really serve much purpose...i would recommend bandos and armadyl since buying both sets of armour will allow you to train both melee and range effectively as well as when boss hunting...armadyl and bandos both give the best range and strength bonus in the game...if you think that the small bonus isn't worth the additional millions look at how much more people are paying for the specials of the sgs and ags (although in my opinion those 2 items are overvalued just like 3rd age stuff) armadyl and bandos will help you considerably in cw too ;)

Cockroack Soldiers?
probably it's just luck...those creatures drop quite a lot of good items for f2p players though...but when i think about what p2p bosses like zilyana and keera drop the rune items kinda seem a bit of a joke =P of course cockroach soldiers aren't bosses...

Party hats
btw for your case to sell your phat on f2p you will have to ACCEPT junk offers which for f2p could be gold rings, gold bars and useless jewelry...these things are "by-products" of training which are unsellable on the market hence considered as junk...effectively lowering the trade price of the phat you are selling if the buyer offers such items in place of cash... but to find someone with that much junk for a white phat...might prove a bit difficult =P

Party hats
currently party hats are overpriced by the GE which is why very few people want to buy them...on the other hand 3rd age equipment are underpriced by the GE thus in order to sell your partyhat at market price you will have to add a 3rd age equipment in order to balance the trade...3rd age are considered much more valuable than the GE pricing while partyhats are considered otherwise of course i know of people who have sold their phats on the GE for minimum price but you will have to wait quite a while...maybe 2-3 months...depending on how lucky you are ;)

15 Aug 2008 - Future PvP Updates
sorry to disappoint but i think you didn't read the update as well...jagex explicitly stated that it will be exactly like how RS1 was long time ago and you will be able to PK anywhere anytime safe for certain areas (towns i believe) as someone who has been playing for 6 years now i'm really looking forward to jagex bringing back the concept of killing anywhere...it is an essential feature of so many MMORPGs other than kiddy games like maplestory...only the hard and strong can call themselves spartans!!! This day we Fight!!!

Fastest runecrafting exp?
crafting tiaras would be the fastest and most expensive but second best option would be to use the FOG gloves such as earth runecrafting gloves and craft earth runes quickly...use lumby ring to increase yield ;)
-
should I folo this guide which I came up for my acc
mage training arena as well as PC are good ways to get magic exp as well...but then again PC is usually good only for the 100+ boat...but you are getting paid to train magic ;) training till 70 at hill giants might be a tad slow though...could try moss giants in verrock sewer though might get crowded at times

which is better
it picks up all sorts of bolts except bolt rack too...you can't pick up bolt racks anyway unless you drop them...they are for 1-time-use only just like crystal bow...can't pick up the "arrows"

Didn't Keep My Whip On Death...
that's not true at all...if you talk to the lumbridge tutors or look on the RS KB you will find that Jagex explicitly says that on death your 3 most "valuable" items are kept. According to this statement the whip should be kept as it fetches a higher value on the G.E. and is thus considered a more "valuable" item than the dh stuff and drag sq...the fact that he lost his whip means that Jagex's system of "valuing" items is fatally flawed and they should do something about it such as letting us choose which items to keep. after all it should be OUR RIGHT to choose which 3 items we want to keep since jagex says that the 3 most "valuable" items and kept and since different people will value their items differently...depending on sentimental value, usefulness to them etc. besides if you are carrying lots of items you will still lose the other valuable items making the game a risk...he is not suggesting that one loses nothing on death...only suggesting that jagex improves their "valuation" system.

The Great Orb Project waiting time!!
if there was no penalty whenever someone quit a game halfway everyone from the losing team would be doing that and what fun would there be? AND it would be unfair to penalize the whole team just because a loser quit the game halfway...if you do not leave a game halfway there is no waiting time and you can join any team (yellow or green) immediately and the game will start when there are a minimum number of players...

Should I buy a BGS (Or any other godsword for that matter)?
imo gs are good only for monsters with high defense such as black demons, bosses, barrows etc...because if you were to use a whip then u will end up missing much more especially on the GWD bosses...but for normal training i suggest using whip/scim/dharok =D

F2P RC Guild - Are teletabs worthwhile ?
the number of tokens u get per round depends on how many points your team gets and whether your team wins overall or not...i've gotten up to 800+ tokens in a single game where we totally owned the other team XD so if you continually have a superb team the tokens rate will increase tremendously...play with a group of expert friends ;)

Tip.It Times Presents: Grand Exchange - Help or Hindrance?
indeed the GE has provided much convenience for everyone...i believe no one can deny the fact that it is so much easier to buy and sell things on the GE now. however the problem about the GE was that it was implemented with the trade limit which means no one can buy or sell items at their preferred price anymore but must do so at the price which the GE sets for them. Furthermore, the GE prices for quite a handful of goods are way off what players want to sell and buy them for such as partyhats, animal masks, 3rd age etc. The evidence of this can be clearly seen from the low amount (or rather NIL for some cases) trade that takes place for these items on the GE as well as how so many people are asking for junk or offering junk for these items depending on whether the item in question is over or undervalued. this creates a lot of inconvenience and inefficiency for a lot of people...imagine having to collect 100M worth of junk just to buy a phat...with greater inconvenience the volume of trade decreases which is unhealthy for the RS economy...in my opinion if Jagex wants the GE to be success they should readjust the prices of certain popular items every few weeks...the prices of 3rd age have stayed constant with 0 change for the past God knows how many weeks for the simple reason that the price on the GE undervalues the true price of 3rd age equipment...the same can be said for partyhats just that the partyhats it is the other way round and the GE overvalues them...Jagex should do something about this if they want the GE to be a greater success.

Are guthan sets unvervalued?
to be honest the unicorn is a very close competitor and substitute for guthans even at GWD or DK...i've seen people using it at both places without using guthans and faring the same if not better than those who use guthan... the thing about using guthan is the randomness that comes with it and inability to heal with fighting rex cause u can't move about unless u are lucky to have a spinny close to you...a unicorn is definitely more reliable when it comes to healing and you can do it while wielding your GS and continue attacking whichever boss monster you are attacking at the same time... of course i know that it takes much more than 7M to get 88 summoning but summoning brings with it a host of other uses such as the pack yak, abyssal titan and stuff like...

You Know You're Old-School When...
i know i'm old school when...i remember how mining was in rsc and everyone had the mining icon over their heads =P and how you had to keep clicking non-stop while fishing and actually missing doing these things...training is much easier now but i actually do miss seeing the mining icon appear over my head every once in a while...oh and remembering how my heart kept beating non-stop while "running" through places where monsters are aggressive as there was the 3-hit rule then and i was so proud when i completed the white knight's quest at lvl 10+ cause i had to keep clicking non-stop and hoping the ice giants and warriors would not be able to catch up =P by the way i've been playing for 6 years now \

I feel like I've beaten Runescape.
a very important aspect in runescape which i feel you might have missed out on is the social aspect of it...about 40% of the motivation behind my playing of the game stems from the friendship that can be nurtured while doing so...there are many ways for my friends and i to enjoy ourselves and have fun together such as castle wars which is one of my favourite. Jagex also introduced the godwar dungeons for groups of friends to unite together and battle the monsters within as one because only by cooperating will they be able to EFFECTIVELY (since solo-ing is possible but ineffective) defeat the bosses.

Are guthan sets unvervalued?
i wouldn't use the word undervalued to describe it's price...the price of barrow equipment have become so low basically because it has been in the game for a very long time already...the longer the game progresses the more barrow equipments are going to be found and it is not as though barrow equipments are being lost at a great rate so the supply of barrow equipment in the game is definitely going to increase as time goes by... in runescape (and probably in the real world as well) the price of an item is determined by 2 things from the consumers' point of view: 1) usefulness and 2) rarity. barrow equipment are certainly one of the most useful in the game with their different set effects but the falling price of guthan is probably due to other substitutes being introduced such as bunyips, unicorns and the SGS. also, barrow only appears cheap relative to all the other equipment which are expensive only because they are rare such as GS, dragon armour, 3rd age etc. i wouldn't buy a 3rd age to train in it...it will definitely only be to show off. Thus barrow armour is not actually that cheap when you think about it...probably it is to you as a high level (as well as to me) but one must always remember that the income gap in runescape in humongous...there are many people out there who can't afford them yet. There is also a small group of people who treat the cost of barrow armour as peanuts but comparing the 2 groups, the people who can't afford it are possibly at least a hundred times more than those who purchase barrow equip as though they were buying groceries from the supermarket....

99 range
huh of course you MUST use prayer potions...you will be praying pro-melee throughout...fill up your inventory with pray pots (4) save 2 spaces for sharks/tuna potatoes/manta rays and another quick tele....if you feel rich you could try praying the 10+% range but the 15% range really drains too fast in my opinion...

Monday Poll: TET Monster-Hunting!
it will be really chaotic running into dk with a whole bunch of ppl (including noobs =P) can just imagine having to pray protect mage non-stop, running away from rex and eating like mad to prevent supreme from killing me >.> i've no doubt that many lives will be sacrificed lol...but of course i'll go to see how many die

investing
i wouldn't suggest investing with such a small capital...should try to get around 10M first ;) besides, f2p doesn't require that much cash to play...you could probably get everything you want (minus the rares) with 10M or so...but if you really want to maybe get some god armour which are selling at a low price...and hope that it rises

Obsidian (Zerker) Necklace: What Happened to it?
if a weapon was truly good it's price would reflect that...it would be just a matter of TIME. for example look at how the price of rune scims shot up when rs2 came out and jagex introduced a new concept of weapon speed...scims became the new weapon of choice over rune 2hs...similarly look at how the price of sara godswords started off less than 50M but more than doubled when ppl found out it's true value...the fact that the price of obby necklace remains low only implies one thing: it is not a good training method. you can rest assured that there are always hundreds if not thousands of people experimenting new ways to gain greater exp everyday and i'm sure the obby necklace would have come across their minds at some point in time but the fact that the price of the obby necklace has stayed down for so long goes to show how unpopular it is compared to other methods suggesting that there is a better option. a good weapon will never just fade away like that...

Tip.It Times Presents: A Whole New World
not a bad article...but i would rather much be a pro at doing something than be a noob exploring everything for myself =P i don't exactly love being looked upon as a noob and having to be extra careful not to get killed wherever i go and basically the fear of the unknown.

Underrated Equipments
I agree with your statement! I've seen so many people in FTP using Druidic Robes #-o ... I don't understand why Jagex decided that Druidic Robes should be more expensive? Is the bind spell improved a lot when using it? By improved binding for the special effect of the full druidic robes, they mean that there is a chance that you will not use runes when casting a bind - not really the best thing when you're in a war - you're trying to win at all costs, even if that means giving up a couple of nature runes you could have spared. Combat robes have the same exact stats, excluding defence, which is what makes them better. Sure, it is less than +5 more in each defence, but if nobody cares about that low of a bonus, why do people wear leather boots during wars. Anyway, combat robes are more useful when in groups, namely in a clan war. that's no correct...by improved binding for the spec effect of the full druidic robes they mean that there is a higher chance that your bind spell will be successful which in wars between real clans can make all the difference between a victory and a loss...the spec of combat robes which supply one with runes occasionally is not that useful at all compared to the higher chance of successfully binding if you are in a war. stopping a person from running around obstacles will greatly decrease the amount it takes for your clan to kill him and thus win the war...
