+4 str is a lot seriously...many people use it for it's str...anyway even if it is not recommended it is still THE best armour in the kite position for f2p and that's what this thread is about...not the most feasible or cost efficient or time efficient or whatever #-o

he definitely can't use red chins effectively at 17 range whoever is suggesting that >.> i doubt many people use cannons to train their range at lvl 17 unless they are really rich or...just...:uhh: just use a bow and arrow (best bow you can use with iron/steel arrows) and train at giants...progress from hill giants to moss giants at around moss giants at around 50 to ice giants at 60 and fire giants at 70 or around there...then when you get to 85, get grab around 40-50m (prob less due to dropping red chin prices) and get 99 range at skele monkeys =)

umm using mage is like one of the slowest ways to train slayer unless you are barraging >.>just use melee seriously...and if you want to train mage do it at the mage training arena or somewhere else ;)
-
using fire bolts is like one of the slowest methods imo...ever checked the exp that it gives? it's even lower than humidfy...much lower i think only 20+ exp and even with your average dmg on METAL DRAGS it isn't going to be higher average exp than humidify...imo the best mage exp would either be high alching WHILE cursing monsters or using lvl 6 enchant at the mage training arena...that's one of the fastest and cost efficient methods and i used that to get 94 mage...alternatively just leave your 94 mage as it is a barrage at cw on and off and gradually you will get 99...that's what i've been doing and so far all my mage exp from 94-97 is mainly from ancients at cw =D

and if you want, bring a fire staff and nats there to super smith mith ore into bars...
-
high alch while casting curse is known to be one of the best methods for training mage for it's cost...not sure if you are a member though...another excellent method is casting onyx enchant at the mage training arena...i got my 94 mage training there ;)

whip prices won't be rising much that i can guarantee you...there is a LARGE number of whips in the game already so even if demand rose by like 100 more whips demanded each day the proportion of this rise to the total number of whips circulating in RS will only be of a fraction so even if it rises...it won't rise much and DEFINITELY not to 2.8M in the first week GAH! people will be dumping their whips for the new level 70 gear that is going to come out with pking...whips might even cease to be the best 1-handed weapon anymore with the introduction of rewards from pking and then...whips will be what d-scims are now although probably not that bad till it drops below 500k but who knows...all depends on the stats of the new weapons ;) (which will definitely be better than the whip trust me or rather trust jagex)

the ge saves us a lot of time when gathering items needed for quests or training and the time saved can be put to much more productive uses such as exploring the RS world (if you really choose to do so) i would never have been able to prepare for a gwd/dk trip as quickly as possible if i had to buy all my brews, runes, food and what not on the ge...also, we can all skill more efficiently instead of trying to sell all the by-products of our skilling in world 2 fally or on the forums...it doesn't really baby us...it's just an aid, a tool to help us...you always have to choice whether you want to stay independent of the ge or use it to your greatest advantage... and if you choose not to use the ge...you can still go about the traditional way of collecting your items...and good luck to you with that ;)

for me i always knew that games conferred little benefit (it's NOT "no benefit" cause there ARE benefits) since...a long time ago...so i only place rs for fun now and instead of grinding at one particular skill i spread out and do a variety of things with favourites being castle war and boss fights...on top of that i only get membership during my sch holidays so that i can focus on work...work hard and play hard =))

for those who suggest soloing it please at least TRY it yourself before even opening your mouth...or at least watch some videos of the monster at work on youtube or whatever...even with a group of 20+ people the monster is VERY capable of killing one member in 2 hits...60 in one hit, you eat and get 20 hp back so 59...hit 60 again and bye bye...even with the shield you will be draining ppots at an incredible rate and he can heal much faster than u can attack him while drinking pray pots..by the way having someone else in the room even if that guy is not attacking is not considered soloing either... and to those [developmentally delayed]s who keep talking about gwd being considered unsoloable when they first came out please gtfo...gwd are much weaker compared to this giant...gwd bosses don't heal themselves for christ sake nor do they hit 60+ if you pray the right prayers AND please open your eyes and see that this monster has a hp of like 10 times that of the bosses? :wall: -
took away to prevent real world trading which IMO is a GOOD thing...in case you guys do not know, many maplers have had their accounts hacked into by a group of people from China who steal their in-game mesos and sell for real cash online...so imagine if real world trading is permitted in rs: the risk of many of our accounts being hacked into would be significantly raised...without real-world trading, which idiot will want to waste time hacking into our accounts? #-o well yea there will always be some social pest out there doing it just for the sake of irritating players but the numbers will be significantly reduced... can't remember exactly when they took it away but it was together with introduction of trade limits and before grand exchange...i think it was this year?

i'm glad American is in the midst of a major financial crisis now...they really deserve if for all their greed and large risk appetites...as well as for all the pollution they have thrown into the world, hurricane Ike is giving them their just desserts as well... many analysts are predicting the fall of the West within the next few decades especially with the rise of the tigers of the east...hope the dow jones tanks like mad and free falls over the next few days and the USD plunges as well =D> and whoever believes that the world will end in 2012: i'm telling you that you have no brains right now...please believe me as well -.-
-
if you have a combat lvl of 127 and above i suggest going to brimhaven dungeon cause the wild dogs won't attack you, the place is freaking big with loads of fire giants and hardly anyone goes there at all...cause noobs (below lvl 127) who enter will get irritated by fire giants...you can also put your house at brimhaven which makes it much faster than waterfall/ct
-
bring the spirit wolf to chase the revs away...wear blk d hide...shouldn't be too much of a problem =)
-
i guess it really depends on your time management skills...for me i only get membership during the hols to make sure that i'm not over addicted to rs during school term...playing games is a form of relaxation just play hard and work hard ;)

solo bandos? =O that's mad at his level...he definitely can't use melee due to his below 80 atk and str which leaves him to range and wearing range armour at bandos at his defense would be courting suicide >.> as for zammy...the boss can really drain your prayer so your low prayer level will be of quite a concern...and for sara it will be hard for you to tank the minions while running away from commander zilyana...i don't think many people solo sara in the first place...takes too long to kill due to all that running unless you tank her outright which would be difficult at your defense level...
-
yea if you have 99 range, mage and def you don't really have to care much about attack/str especially in p2p...that's what i was going for initially but then got lured by GWD to max out everything XD
-
i think diamonds would be better than you save one inventory space and you can equip zammy book as well which gives u a nice prayer boost...with jad, it's never a overkill ;)

train summoning to get pack yak and you could bank while mining =)

Need help turning about 5.9m into more money
davidium replied to Grim Wrath's topic in Help and Advice
really intelligent answer...if you have no suggestions just keep your trap shut and everyone will be none the wiser at the low intelligence that you have...gtfo and stop spamming other people's thread as well, i've seen you post off-topic stuff twice in a row even after being asked to stop and get the [bleep] out... on topic: perhaps you could stock up on some items needed to pk as it will be out by this year (i think that's why jagex said) either that or get some equipment and go boss hunting...maging dks is a good idea for soloers... -
irons are fine really...i trained using irons whenever i was f2p at moss giants on karamaja...but steels do make a difference and it is quite noticeable...really depends whether you want greater speed or cost efficiency...i'm not sure of price diff between irons and steel now but if they are quite close use steels cause you need to remember that steel arrows can be recovered more often than iron arrows...so if you buy steels although they cost more you attack more and you can use each steel arrow more times on average...
-
hmm the moss giants at karamaja are not bad if you want a bit of variety...ideally SOS is the best since it is so near fishing spot at barb village...whether or not you should switch to a higher level monster depends on how many hits you take to kill the current monster you are training on as well as how much/often are you dealing damage...preferable somewhere around 8 hits and a monster with low defense...could try the spiders at sos too....
