  1. Just got this assignment last night. I always do it because the numbers are so small. (I was assigned to kill five this time.) I can manage a few, but if I got fifty, or something like that, I'd have to block it. I still have trouble with them. Only lvl 123 and I don't have the outstanding gear people use to kill these. I'd much rather skip them. I don't need the exp or points that badly.
  2. I'm curious, do you guys think those worlds will be restricted by experience totals or skill totals? i think MMG stated in one of the replys that they are working on worlds "based on total exp" Okay, I get that. Plus with the previous standard set for f2pers on the forums being eligible based on their exp totals, this would be most likely. Though a 2000+ skill total world would be cool.
  3. Most quests that start skills are pretty easy. Digsite is easy too, if a bit long. I'm guessing it would be another quest to introduce the skill, taking place in the Digsite, but having nothing to do with the Digsite quest. Perhaps we could go digging for ancient ceramic magical spheres, buried deep in the ruins of city that was once there. And we can call the quest, "Buried Balls Deep."

  5. Technically, it's just the one person making a big deal about it. The rest of us are saying "we don't care."
  6. Yes, the botters were ruining the game, but I remember when you get get Yew logs for 200gp a piece. I get a little misty eyed thinking about it.
  7. I'm only getting it on the sides, but no distortion of the main page or anything. Maybe while it was loading your computer sneezed?
  8. Right now I have Irons, Steels, Terrorbirds, and Waterfiends turned off. I can just manage Wyverns and I skip Mith Drags. Haven't have Aquanites yet. The one I really hate and get it far too often are black demons. Slow and bad drops. Not bad cb exp though.
  9. With new islands would come new quests which would probably come with a teleport to that island... Plus we have ports all over the map to take us wot places. With the economy the way it is, if Sailing is released, we'll have a bunch of out of work captains roaming around Port Sarim that'll have to collect unemployment and food stamps. So no Sailing skill for the Failors. :
  10. As long as when I hover over it for a second it doesn't open and take up 2/3 of my screen, I'm cool with it.
  11. Where did that 10% came from? Summoning is more useful for skilling really at the moment and once they fix the combat part, this is gonna be very nice. At that point, you will be annoyed about not having a few levels head start... though you probably won't see this as you are not supposed to roam the rants forums. I used the 10% as a figure only in reponse to the person who I was quoting, who estimated his personal expereince at being 10% of people using it. Thanks for paying attention. And I have level 78 Summoning. Tears, Peng Points, lamps, quest exp, all that. I said I don't spend money on it, not that I don't train it. Did that clear things up for you? :
  12. Yes it's inefficient, but if you have the cash and are allowed to get away with, it's better than nothing. Also, I think my idea for a combat timer is a good idea in general, not just in response to this.
  13. Because they do it for 24-48 hours straight. Anyway, one thing I've never worked out, why in the world isn't there a combat timer? If you can kill something in 5 minutes, you're done. Creature respawns. And they can obviously make exceptions. Leave the boss monsters without this feature. You can't afk the KQ, KBD, Jad anyway.
  14. I refuse to spend on this moneysink, when it benefits me in no meaningful way. And until they fix getting your familiar into combat is a reasonable way, only 10% will continue to use it.
  15. Yeah, you all are still missing the point. My complaint is that whether they update or don't update, the content released is not up to the quality of what it should be given the alleged time they spend on it. But please, keep ignoring me saying this. The other side thing about the bugs is me pointing out how much more buggy they have been as of late. Oh, and as far as the guy talking about what I expect in an upgrade year, pretty much this. I detest the whole upgrade year, but that's another topic. If they were working on something really big, and that's why we have all these small updates, I wish they'd say so. Something other than "We're working on a lot of projects." That is getting so old. I think they're working on too many big projects at once. Like you know if you spend time on homework, and you have many sujects, each requiring a lot of time spent on them. If you worked on one until it was done, it would go quicker, but if you spend time working on them all at once, getting a little bit done at a time, it takes forever. Oh, but wait, you can just call me a "whiner" and thereby in your own mind, just negate having to consider my criticism of the game. I hope you people are as supportive and protective of your friends and family as you are of this game.
  16. I was thinking, prayer is only given combat usage. I know that prayer is a combat skill that raises your CB level, but so does mage and we have many, many non-combat magic spells we can use. Is anyone else thinking Lunar prayers? 8-)
  17. This is a really good point. It is going to take a lot more than just the living people to take down Lucien since we already saw his power in WGS. All I can say is there is going to be some epic battle that is going to happen and it better not be cheesy how Lucien dies. They did say that a Mahjarrat is as powerful as a human army, add an armadyl staff with that and a stone of jas, and you get one incredibly hard nub to kill Define an army? I'm a lvl 123, and if 100 lvl 28 gaurds attacked me while I was wearing some drag/barrows/3rd age, I could probably kill them all before they kill me.
  18. As much as they preach that they love that their game as an in browser game that you can play online, as a business, if it makes sense to them, I can definitely see them producing a console version, then having it be exclusively on Xbox live or some such thing. If not that, by the time it dies, I won't be around. I'm 24 and within the next five years, I hope to have a wife, kids, etc. If I don't have those things by then, I'll be too addicted to online porn to play Runescape.
  19. I just noticed something. MMG said that adamantite is the name of the ore, but the name of the metal/armor is adamant, yet in the in-game skill guide for smithing, the adamant tab is labeled "adamantite." Might want to fix that. Maybe they can make it the next upgrade then take a week off afterward?
  20. My heart stopped beating for 5 seconds. :ohnoes: Then the actual sailing release could kill you  Does he think all those lame jokes people do about Sailing, bring it up at every moment are clever and funny? Why is he doing this to us? #-o
  21. Whenever you ask about future content, he turns into a mannequin.
  22. Stop capitalizing every word, it's obnoxious. More just pointless. It's actually more grammatically incorrect than the other crap I read here. :x
  23. Oh joy. More changes to the magic GRAPHICS but not to the skill itself. Fantastic. It's cause graphics are Upgrayedds. :wall:
  24. [/hide] I am VERY curious to learn how this will play out, considering Durial321 might come back into the game or something (just an example). :? :? :? Can't wait for the name change update, though. (Zezima here, Zezima there... ) I don't think it would really matter if he came back into the game. Prior to his discoverey of the bug, no one really knew him. It's not like he hacked the game or anything. If he came back, or someone under that name did, no big whoop. #-o I didn't write that properly. I wanted to say that someone would take that name again, not necissarily the real Durial himself. I know it's no big issue, but... Then it would hardly matter. I shudder to think of the army of Zezimas.
