  1. And hey Puro Puro, Southwest of Spirit World Cursed Tree Area. It's official, Spirit World was placed all around Haunted Mine. I've scanned all directions around the Spirit World, some very interesting finds. I'll upload pictures on the next page to save some loading time for everyone :)
  2. It's such a good feeling to know what's in a certain direction before scanning with the orb. From Waterbirth Dungeon you should be able to see Corp, Pyramid Plunder, and the XMAS '05 Event. On a side note, for some reason the orb is DISABLED in the Corporeal Beast Lair. And WKW I'll check that out right now!   9. Yeah, everybody's ability is different, for instance I completed Desert Treasure at level 60 but 100+ players had a lot of trouble. As Wachtwoord said, any recommendation we put on a guide will be misleading in many cases and lead to confusion. See if you can ask some friends about their experience for a more personal answer. Good luck questing. :)
  10. Those are good ideas. For me, slayer immediately comes to mind, unless you are tired of combat. With level 65 slayer, you can kill Dust Devils and Aberrant Spectres, the latter being an excellent money maker with its herb drops (sometimes 1m profit per task). You can just camp them rather than try to get them as a task. Or if you choose to do tasks, if you diligently follow them (it's tempting to cancel and skip out, I know, I've been there), you can get a really nice steady income. I suppose following tasks would make it less boring. :) You can also try investing in MTK (Manage Thy Kingdom). Some people make 1m a week, although this is because they invest a lot of money. Over time you can make substantial profits.
  11. I know what an average is, and obviously you do as well. The only reason I made the 1-10k comment was because he, in addition to asking the average, said "how many do I have to kill in order to get it?" I was just reminding him that, as you pointed out, such a question can't be answered. I may have taken him too literally, sure, but I don't know what he's thinking so I'm just making sure. I gave my opinion on an average before that though (1/300-1/700), which is my main answer. Sorry if I wasn't clear enough in my first post, I was not trying to say the average was 1-10k.
  12. That's not what I said. I said that from my experience the drop rate was around 1/300-1/700. The statement about 1-10,000 kills was meant to point out that 700 kills doesn't guarantee an elixir, which his post implied a drop rate would mean. Anyway, I think we can move on.
  13. Please. Someone is always spouting this load of bull. Yes, we do know that it *could* happen on the first, or five-thousandth kill. But the OP was asking about the drop rate, the AVERAGE. I'd have to say from the drop logs i've seen its roughly 1-600. Unless you are me. Then your rate for any rare drop is at least 1/4x the average. Okay, was that honestly necessary? I was legitimately answering both parts of the post. I gave my impression of the drop rate and then said the "Bull" which you admit is true in answer to his next sentence...
  14. I got mine at kill #350, I'm thinking it's from 1/300-1/700 range. But you might get it in 1 kill, or 10,000 kills :P

    If there's enough RSOF-style complaints it'll probably be changed so that you can use it only in the quest area/Kharazi Jungle. I hope not though, I've use it once or twice in less crowded areas just for fun. But I've only really been bothered a couple of times, it's not a widespread problem so far. :)
  17. I think his point is that anyone can go summarize a solid storyline, like WGS, in two lines like you did for Nomad's Requiem, making it look worse than it is. That's the very, very basic version of what you were asked to do. Within that however, you find out so much about the history of Lucien, Movario, the Stone of Jas, etc. Same thing with Nomad's Requiem. Sure, even though that's not exactly what Zimberfizz wanted, it's essentially what the overall drive of the quest was, but throughout our time in his lair we see so much revealed (already discussed).
  18. I think... You broke Runescape... Lol. You attempt to buy something for 0gp on the ge, offer almost goes through, game crashes. Coincidence? I think not... You're all just jealous that I can break RS and you can't. Next I'm gonna buy some overloads and a balmung or 2 for 0 gp. I AM GOD!!!!! Yeah I've had that, it happens when you lag at the GE screen. After the connection times out temporarily it tries to restore the same item screen that you were looking at, beginning with dwarf remains, which has an item ID of 0.
  19. This. I really cannot understand the complaints that this quest was lacking in plot or storyline. This quest has huge implications for future Mahjarrat quests. +1 We are exposed to a completely different outlook on the majharrat storyline. From the dialogues we can conclude that Lucien is probably Nomad's old master, and sent the dark knights to kill him. This makes us ask whether nomad is actually our friend, if he is Lucien's enemy. This might be why he said, "You have doomed this world [to Lucien?]". The only reason he attacks us is because we intrude in on his lair, at the request of an imp. No plot? Think again tbh.
  20. Hmm, apparently I had bad info when writing that post. Changing my opinion then. My main annoyance isn't the business about specific torso bonuses, but rather how Jagex is manipulated so easily by immature spammers (almost all pures) that make up 90% of the feedback forums. I wish there could be more constructive feedback rather than insults and accusations. Even if the change in the torso was positive for some, it happened within a couple hours without feedback from all player types. Worries me that this will happen in a negative way in future updates. Also the fact that people are going on saying "about time too!" is kind of sad, it's not like the change monumentally affected anything in that short period.

  22. This actually bothers me a lot. Jagex once again made a change and gave into mass complaining from RSOF, which they label "feedback". (call this feedback? "ZOMGZ I LUVD TORSO U TAKE IT AWAY WAHHH"). Anyway, I thought the changes were somewhat beneficial, only thing I didn't agree with was making the helms the same, which hasn't been complained about a lot relative to the torso. The torso had terrible defense bonuses and deserved better, and I really think sacrificing 1 extra damage was fine.
  23. It's a known bug I'd alch it if I were you and get something for it before it fades away Did you just log in wearing it? Weird kind of bug.
  24. At this point, while it would be nice to have, researching weaknesses (testing for thousands of monsters) would be extremely time consuming. In reality people would only want information on a small percentage of them, for which we already have data listed in the notes section. And weaknesses of lower level monsters will be really difficult to determine as already discussed. Just my two cents.
  25. The large amount of respect I have for you and your guides is slowly deteriorating; there's really no need to threaten the admins, you can just leave and never return. :|
