  1. Well, they're getting multiple "clicks" from a single mouse, which I'm pretty sure is labeled and being against the rules. In either case, I doubt it's hard to segregate players that clean herbs normally and players that clean herbs 9000x faster... Edit @ Pulli: Your opinion is wrong, btw. It's not the same thing because one isn't vastly overpowered. Think about it this way. "Double" EXP weekend is like a Vesta Longsword. Despite being completely rape, it decays overtime. Using this mouse is kind of like combining a Vesta Long with a Godsword. Doesn't decay, and it still bones everything that currently exists in the game sideways. Another edit @ Pulli: Also, Runescape is entirely click-based. There's nothing in this game that doesn't involve clicking and/or fast clicking. This mouse allows you to click at 9000x normal human speed, which, I'd say, it's pretty god damn OP. proof that it is against the rules, as in a j mod post, or there is nothing to discuss. Its no where in the rules that you can't use a certain mouse. The mouse is also only 40 bucks. I have a faster comp, that gives me an unfair advantage? Ye. Same logic danz. Having a better mouse doesn't make the game unfair.
  2. Its an overused term for someone who tries hard/is smarter than the other And a tad hypocritical You're obviously easily offended. Om nom nom. Stop being eaten. [/hide] Personally I find the term "nerd" to be a compliment (it's usually used to insult smart people :^_^: ) i correct them with, Yes, I'm proud to be a geek, thanks.
  3. Crowds won't affect me. I spent under 7m on 2nds, and will spend around 25-20m on shards. For over 6m summoning xp, that isn't bad.
  4. Yeah I share the sentiment Aurian but you got to remember how much the Big Ticket is playing off the Willy Wonka theme. In that story, the Golden Tickets were hidden in a bar of chocolate and someone got to go to his awe-inspiring chocolate factory just because of their ability to buy a bar of candy :P. Although Charlie's ticket was arguably meant to be lol... Perhaps another Charlie out there will emerge among us . Anyways I'm sure they will not throw draws for them left and right. At least this way they are giving any player (or anyone with the ability to mail a post card) the opportunity to score one. Except I doubt Andrew is planning on giving away Jagex to one of the lucky winners. Even if I won, it would be really award to try and explain this prize to my boss and family.
  5. Move 2 spaces over, call familiar, problem solved. Far faster then torts, but its your life.
  6. Most people aren't too fond of spending 10M on 137k summoning experience. Exactly what I wanted to say. 1.) I save 10m, and the hassle of getting the tallies. 2.) I got quite a bit on tokkul, which I need for an onyx anyway. 3.) 137k summoning xp is 4 hours or less of CT fiends. 4.) Lava titans have a far higher demand then geyser titans anyway.
  7. My question is now how 2 onyx/onyx rings should be used to get me up to edibles or a party hat, long term.
  8. I <3 Domination. The only game type I play now. Still like the FAMAS.
  9. So, what is street price of an onyx/onyx ring. I see people trading for werg. pots (unf), and hooks, but not a lot for pure cash. I don't intend to sell with junk, but an idea of street value for bartering is nice. I've heard from 40-100m.
  10. Just think how much better at maths we might become. or how much more lazy, by not doing any more math at all.
  11. It's not 2.7x upon loging, its higher. There is a formula, go look at it on the Dev. Blog if you want to know the exact amount. It doesn't change with logging though, its a timed amount.
  12. I don't mind DIY sometimes, but othertimes having to do so can be a royal PITA.
  13. Storm, I've done both. i've Pm'ed mistakes I've noticed, and I've applied at least once for the Tip.It Times editorial staff. Heck, if someone makes a grammar mistake on the forums, people point it out! One should expect people to point out mistakes, especially when a higher expectation is set for the Times, compared to forum posts. There is nit-picking to be a pain in the butt, and there are people such as me whose reading enjoyment is greatly improved by a well written and edited article. When I see mistakes, I just go "bleah" inside. It takes away from the article. I know that the staff is human, and mistakes slip through. Believe me, I get get called on the carpet at work on occasion if I make a mistake through ignorance. I'm not trying to be a pain. I'm simply asking for a little more care in editing, or the addition of more people to catch mistakes per article. Have more then one editor read through an article. If they don't have time to fully edit, at least they can read through once and point out any obvious mistakes that are sometimes so easy to pass over. Sometimes the most obvious are the most obscure, for various reasons.
  14. Meh, personally it's more of a preference then anything else. Its what I was used to, and its easier to add up 33-26-8-9 then 334-262-79-93 when I d claw spec. Having to mentally change each hit down by a factor of 10 is annoying. But I'll get used to it, and I can easily see how this adds great potential in the realm of damage reduction and multipliers. Not to matter, individual strength levels and bonuses matter more now, it would seem.
  15. Yes there is, don't publish the article. If an article is that bad, then it shouldn't be presented in the Tip.It Times. I have no control over what gets published. My statement wasn't referenced to you alone, but to the entire editorial staff. Heck, PM different TIFFERs if you are that busy, and need help. And Master_Smither, I know the Tip.It Times staff works hard, and consists of volunteers. Yet if you are excusing poor editing, well there really isn't any excuse for a job poorly done. Not to complain, but I'd rather wait a week and read an excellent article, both in content and editing, then read a [garden tool]-hum article every week. Now, the forums are different. If one reads over his posts to correct mistakes, that is fine, but not exactly needed, as long as one takes care when writing to begin with. My point is that there are different standards.
  16. [hide] I don't do much Summoning but all that in 10 hours sounds impressive, think about going outside for a bit when your done :) Why do you waste your money on water orbs for hydras? Bones to banana can get you 8k bones an hour at 155 a bone/banana (slighly more because of the natures) and fruit bats give only a little less xp + they sell for relatively much (more than just what you would get if you traded them in for shards and sold the shards for 25 gp) Water talismans, same story, but now you should just get obby charms yourself. You can easily get over 150 an hour. That would save you another 6m in 4h work. [/hide] I agree. Heck, if I got 1k water tallies and 5k swamps, I'd have 99 banked. But i'd rather save the 10's of millions, and hassle of buying those and just make lava titans and a few hundred g lobs until I can make iron titans. Not to mention Tokkul can be traded for an onyx, if you slay or camp tzhaar. And bruno, I got something like 6 kyatts, and Ill probably just catch a few more to get hides today.
  17. Here is how I think it works: Basicaly, there are 2 prices: -the street price -the exchange price Junk has some exchange price and no street price, where as some items (partyhats, risings,...) have a street price higher then than their exchange price. The basic idea is, that when you trade, you balance the trade in both the exchange price and in the street price ( by selling or buying junk to/from another player). I think, that these are the basics, although I am not sure, so if someone could explain in more detail, if I missed anything. Say someone has a divine spirit shield, the street price is 800m(that's not the real street price I'm just making something up for this example) but the ge price is 510m. The player selling the divine spirit shield would probably add junk, generally crashing junk either from a failed merch or bought with another item, to equal 800m including the divine spirit shield. You buy the junk and the spirit shield from him for 800m cash and you'll probably end up losing a lot on the junk he gives you. It seems that most players sell items like divine spirit shields for rares instead of with junk though so you might have to get your hands on a few rares if you want one. its actually quite a bit more. Sure junk is used, but more in low end trades to buy/sell rising items. Its not as often used at higher end trades. Example, I have a purple Phat I'm selling. GE price is 300m, street is 380. So I trade my party hat for 291.5m cash and 2 onxy rings, since they have a street value of 40m+ each. Now both the GE price and the street price match, and I am happy. NOTE: These prices are accurate, just an example. Junk is used, but the above method is far more convenient, and actually makes more cash in further trades. Stable junk still has a worth, something like 60-80% of its GE price in trading for rising, lending out items, etc. Therefore, although you are getting pure cash for your junk, you are losing out on getting items for your trade and also using your junk later to make more cash. Of course, if you don't have anything worth lending, or this is a one time thing, then use junk. Hope I worded that coherently.
  18. Those will take around 3 hours to make...
  19. Train hunter whilst you are at it, taco :P
  20. I'd rather alch my SGS then go to agil arena for 13 hours.
  21. If you wish to continue to discuss this justin, go to the specific topic on this forum for the express purpose of discussing this. I am done answering you on this thread. This is for talking about the poll.
  22. 1/4 as slow means 30 hours for 300 MA rank, right? Ok, screw that.
  23. The whole point of my post was for you to stay on topic, and stop derailing every thread because of 'morals' or whatever other stupid reason. Wasn't talking to you, was talking to justin, who was the one trolling this thread. Mck, you are a well known troll. please leave.
  24. So if you can't counter our arguments with logic, you go into insulting us, and numerous other logical fallacies in reasoning. That isn't a valid argument, you know. In the long run, this won't hurt anything. I save a few hours on getting 99 summoning, herblore is already too expensive, and this is a way to make things easier and faster. All in all, its not a big deal. BTW: Don't call anyone selfish if you are planning on using this weekend yourself, or if real life hadn't prevented you you would have.
