Gaming can make a better world
Wow you sound like a camper. Play for score rather than fun. "Omg lets do headshots for stats weeee." If I can use "cheaper" strategies to consistently win games, why would I not do that? What is "fun" about playing in a method that would cause you a higher chance of losing? Lets compare today's games to card games. The object of poker (5 card draw) is to get the best hand possible. You have fun when you are succeeding at the objective of the game. You do this by holding onto the cards that give you the highest chance of getting a better hand. Nobody ever says "Red is boring...I am gonna throw away my aces of hearts and diamonds, so I can have cards that look more fun." Nobody says "OMG you held onto your kings? Kings are so OP and cheap..." Today is quite a different story. Camping is "boring". Rocket launchers are "lame". Hiding is "cheap". Winning is everything in a game. I think the problem is that people have too much trouble ACTUALLY winning (by topping the scores), so they pretend the goal of the game is something else. Like "regardless of score, play the most 'skillfully' " Or something like that. I always hear "omg nub, that weapon takes no skill" Why would I want to hinder my killing capabilities by using a method that makes it harder? Lol are you for real dude? Your reference to card games is abysmal. The goal of the game is to have fun, not to win. Didn't you ever get brought up being taught its about having fun, that winning isn't everything. Those people that camp sit there and wait for however long it takes, just so they can get a kill, aren't having fun like the other kids. If they actually went out there and tried playing the game for real, they'd actually enjoy themselves. There's two groups of gamers within FPS. Those that prefer stats more than the actual game, and those that prefer the enjoyment of the game rather than cool medals. All the time in COD I get people who want to do headshots. Headshots .... This means you take turns shooting each other in the head for higher points instead of actually playing the game. There was also another stage during Halo 2 of head to head that turned ugly. People during head to head would glitch it so their oponent would dc for a brief moment every time they were about to exchange shots, resulting in 10 - 0 matches constantly. The top scores were filled with these such people and they proudly "won" with 0 effort and 0 fun. Now in all FPS' there's always a gun that is cheaper than the rest. In gun spawn games people spend their entire time going after this one gun to "win." When they have it they sit in an untouchable spot and play the waiting game, with the final score ending up very low. The match would become a longg boring wait due to one players sheer determination to get a higher stat, in turn sacrificing fun. I can relate this to Runescape quite easily now, I hope you enjoy this. Runescape bounty hunter worlds has to deal with Jagex's mistakes, and dumb game mechanics at time in order to have fun out there. This resulted in the following player known ethics - no praying and no safing during a fight. Say if your whip can hit a 42, the other player shouldn't each till about 43 hp. This makes the fight much more funner and higher potential for exciting ko's. Both players are happy to sacrifice their in game pixels for a bit of fun. However, with your attitude I can imagine you stepping into the wild would disregard these player ethics in order to WIN. Even though Jagex's system is flawed and the players have bonded together to keep the fun alive, you wouldn't give two hoots about it. You would eat as soon as your hp was affected, resulting in a VERY boring battle in which all your food would be consumed and there would NOT be a winner due to your teleports and ring of life - just incase. Now, I hear you saying so what? That's how the game is, everyone should play like that. I'm here to tell you, if everyone played with your live to win attitude, people would not be dying in the wilderness. No-one would be enjoying themselves in pvp and perhaps they would continue due to their sole drive to win. Perhaps maybe they'll get a kill once a month - gratz. This player resolved solution to removing bad tactics can be related to nearly every game. It's hidden player ethics to liven the game, and it's people like you that will continually get flamed for sacrificing fun for mere stat progression on your gamer card. Imagine if everyone played with your style, all campers, all cheap guns. Score round would be low, fun would be low, it wouldn't be worthwhile playing. These people with ethics who look beyond winning are keeping these games alive. Keep your cheap tactics for tournaments, don't take the fun out of pubs. If you fit into the category of people that play to win no matter the cost ( no fun ) then I think our conversation is over as you and I have different perspectives on life. Very well written. In fact, the most exciting game of MW2 I had today was when the game was tied, and both of us (The top 2) were fighting hard for kills. It felt awesome when, with 1.2 seconds left in the game, I got the final kill to break the tie with a headshot. However. If camping is "fun" for you, it is a valid way to play, although it is looked down on. I don't find it fun, so I don't use it. Other things are just cheap. Constanly Noobtubing with nothing else, or glitching in RS to get ahead, are cheap.

What movie(s) did you last see?
O.M.G I just watched V for Vendetta, and it was AMAZING. Perhaps what made it so powerful were the facts that I was reading "The Count of Monte Cristo", (about 800 pages in), and the fact that what happened really seems possible. Whatever it was, from the beginning, to the ending, I found the movie INCREDIBLE. 10/10 for sure. @Kc, Ye, I loved star trek too. @Jem. I liked IB, but I thought Gamer simply SUCKED. A movie that needs THAT amount of sex themes to carry it through, because it is so lacking in story, well forgive the pun, but it sucks.

i dont believe this is true, i think the amount of rolls is independent of the amount of people present at a certain spot Then please explain why it seems to take longer to catch anything when there is more than one player present at a spot ? - i'm certain that it isn't because you are hit with the infamous streams of zeroes When was this implemented ? - as far as i know only one piece of ore spawn in each rock at the time no matter how many players trying to mine it at the same time. If it's true (which i doubt) does this also hold true when it comes to mithril and addy ore ? Well, do you know that for a fact ? - have you had a chance to look at the code... I don't think you have, so my BS theory might have some truth in it after all - as far as i know in D & D each player take his/her turn one after another until an outcome has been made - using my BS formulae also take a player's level in a certain skill into account and thereby rewarding higher leveled players with a better chance of making a catch. But in the end none of us can be certain how the ingame mechanics work, so the discussion is somewhat pointless. It is BS. Its been proven that the number of people fishing in the same spot, or cutting the same tree doesn't affect the speed of your own gathering. So yes, your theory is BS.

Ye, When I was temp muted by a p-mod, I could talk but no one heard me, until I logged for the first time. But that muted was dropped really fast when jagex saw it. [/hide] And bacon, 2m dks trip isn't "yay" its fail... I know....That is how most of mine end up without any drops.. Yeah, but you have a yak that can bank your hides/bones. Hence, you will get A LOT more money worth in those. We don't, therefore the drops are good for us. So 2 m isn't bad, 2 m is still 2 m. Actually, I just about break even with yak and no drops. But hey, its still decent mage xp.

3 weeks is a LONG time, comparatively. People would rather GWD for 3 weeks, and just buy an onyx for a high price, then camp Tzhaar.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2
Finished off both Stopping power pro 5 and Scavenger pro 5 today. Favorite class is FAMAS w/ magnum/shotty and semtex. Perks are SLH or Scavenger pro, Commando Pro, and Stopping power pro. The TAR is a decent gun, but FAMAS is still my favorite gun. Unlocked the FAL, IDK what I think of it yet.

How has racism effected you?
Please keep quiet, do not judge him and say based on his opinion he must have received a public education. You have been poisoned by American media bias. I condemn the PLO as a terrorist group and they constantly unjustly bombard Israel with missiles which puts them in fault. However, I also personally know many innocent Palestinians, some Christian, some Muslim, who were just citizens are were forcibly removed from their houses by israeli soldiers, so please do not speak because the media has told you something and you have no person experience. Israel also forcibly invaded Lebanon, an ally at the time, who was trying to put down Hezbollah, an enemy of Israel, but instead they decided to just bust right in. They wrongly hold Golan Heights from Syria and they held the Sinai Peninsula. I will not even touch the matter of them occupying land they should not be in, and the European Jews treat the Mizrahi Jews poorly, and if any Jew should be in the Holy Lands it should be the Mizrahi because they've actually been living there. And if you would like to challenge me as someone who was educated in a public system, my family has been attending only private institutions as far as we can prove with record (which is my great great grandfather who attended an academy funded by the sultan of the ottoman empire) and I have one-on-one tutors for Arabic, writing composition, drawing, violin, guitar and fencing (and formerly Italian & Aramaic which I've sufficiently learned). I have been profusely educated and I hold the position you scoff at. Besides, I have no doubt there are probably people who have attended public schooling all their lives and they're more intelligent then me because of their great desire to learn. Even a textbook can lie to suit the victor and listening to only what the media feeds you creates racism and bigotry that you aren't even aware of. Hell, I don't watch mainstream media. How am I biased? You see, you are far worse then my assumption. I have a valid basis for guessing he had a public education both 1.) by what he said and 2.) by the simple fact that MOST people in the US go to public school. Also, lets see. If I remember correctly, land that those countries lost was lost WHEN THEY DAMN DECLARED WAR ON ISRAEL. Seems just to me. You attack a country because your "religion of peace" tells you too, and you lose land, and you are a victim... Religion of peace my [wagon]. I've read the Koran. Lets see why Israel took the Golan heights, shall we? From 1948-67, when Syria controlled the Golan Heights, it used the area as a military stronghold from which its troops randomly sniped at Israeli civilians in the Huleh Valley below, forcing children living on kibbutzim to sleep in bomb shelters. In addition, many roads in northern Israel could be crossed only after probing by mine-detection vehicles. In late 1966, a youth was blown to pieces by a mine while playing football near the Lebanon border. In some cases, attacks were carried out by Yasir Arafat's Fatah, which Syria allowed to operate from its territory. Israel's options for countering the Syrian attacks were constrained by the geography of the Heights. "Counterbattery fires were limited by the lack of observation from the Huleh Valley; air attacks were degraded by well-dug-in Syrian positions with strong overhead cover, and a ground attack against the positions...would require major forces with the attendant risks of heavy casualties and severe political repercussions," U.S. Army Col. (Ret.) Irving Heymont observed. Israel repeatedly, and unsuccessfully, protested the Syrian bombardments to the UN Mixed Armistice Commission, which was charged with policing the cease-fire. For example, Israel went to the UN in October 1966 to demand a halt to the Fatah attacks. The response from Damascus was defiant. "It is not our duty to stop them, but to encourage and strengthen them," the Syrian ambassador responded. Nothing was done to stop Syria's aggression. A mild Security Council resolution expressing "regret" for such incidents was vetoed by the Soviet Union. Meanwhile, Israel was condemned by the UN when it retaliated. "As far as the Security Council was officially concerned," historian Netanel Lorch wrote, "there was an open season for killing Israelis on their own territory." After the Six-Day War began, the Syrian air force attempted to bomb oil refineries in Haifa. While Israel was fighting in the Sinai and West Bank, Syrian artillery bombarded Israeli forces in the eastern Galilee, and armored units fired on villages in the Huleh Valley below the Golan Heights. On June 9, 1967, Israel moved against Syrian forces on the Golan. By late afternoon, June 10, Israel was in complete control of the plateau. Israel's seizure of the strategic heights occurred only after 19 years of provocation from Syria, and after unsuccessful efforts to get the international community to act against the aggressors. Six years later, in a surprise attack on Yom Kippur, the Syrians overran the Golan Heights before being repulsed by Israeli counterattacks. After the war, Syria signed a disengagement agreement that left the Golan in Israel's hands.

Best Setup for Solo'ing Rex?
I've been going with yak lately, and need almost no brews with this setup. Full verac, dfs, mystic boots, dfs, fury, sol, and SW cape. I pray mage, and use ee. Works like a charm. BCP is better if you want more range def but don't mind losing prayer points.

Why Runescape needs instanced bosses.
Probably but panic crashes hardly last a long time. It would be nice if they made the older bosses worth killing again though. I really wish they would make the chaos elemental drop something to make it worth killing, it's actually not that easy of a boss to camp. Only because of the revs. Last time I killed, I took 3 damage.

How has racism effected you?
Well, from personal experience, blacks I meet seem to be treated better by the system, then whites. Most are also more lazy. However, I have a very strong defense against anyone calling me a racist. 2 of my brothers and 1 of my sisters have been adopted from Ethiopia, as well as I have one brother adopted from Bulgaria. Thus, I don't have a "bias", all that i feel is based off experience. And if someone plays the race card, I'd tell them to go to hell. They are the ones spreading racism far more then others. I joke around against and for all races. I tell black jokes, but also white jokes. People are too damn sensitive. In America, you have the right to freedom of speech, not the freedom to not be offended. And to the idiot above me, I say sir, learn you history. I don't think that the Jews killed 6 million people, and I also don't think that Israel is the country threating to blow another country into the sea. Terrorizing the Arabs...You go to public school, correct?

What movie(s) did you last see?
I've seen oceans 11 like 10+ times, and oceans 13 a few times, but I watched oceans 12 for the first time last night. Better then 13, not as good as 11. But I still really liked it, as I do that whole series.
