  1. We definately should get a redeem code as members! Not to be offensive but I find it ironic now that members are the ones complaining about the "we pay, we play" mindset. OT: Can't wait to get home to buy it. Wait, so you think its ironic that people want more for their money? Compared to F2P who wants more for not paying anything? How is that ironic?
  2. What "fact"? I've heard many, many different statements of what this damage reduction does. "Spear" isn't clear at all. To my knowledge, there's no reason to believe (or to believe otherwise) that weapons are given specific classifications. So what defines a spear? Is it the word "spear" in the name? Does that mean if tomorrow, a Jagex employee instructed to change "Zamorakian Spear" to "Spear of Zamorak" accidentally types "Spaer of Zamorak", that weapon would now suffer a 50% damage penalty? If it's a type, then what type is a Rapier? Has there been a class for a Rapier ever since the first (and to my knowledge, only, until Dungeoneering) for years? For just this one weapon? Is it a sword? Is it a longsword? What type is a Hasta? What type is a Barrelchest Anchor? What type is the Staff of Light? Like I said, I've heard those who hunt the Corporeal Beast say it's "all non-spear stabbing attacks." I've heard some say "all non-spear attacks." I've also heard "Range, longsword, and swords." All that is "fact" is that the Corporeal Beast applies a 50% damage penalty to the Dark Bow. And that it very likely applies to Leaf-Bladed Sword and Vesta's Longsword, when stabbing. That doesn't explain what exactly is in effect, nor does it say anything as to how it effects the new weapons. In essence, I believe you are saying generalizations can't be made. Correct? If so, I agree with you. One can THEORIZE, but can't be DOGMATIC about halving all damage, or doing extra damage. We DON'T KNOW yet. Its seems a fair bet that damage is halved, if those vids prove anything, but it really all depends on how Jagex classifies the damage multiplier.
  3. SGS is completely worthless, the only useful one is AGS if that. I'd take BGS/whip + Dragon Claws over AGS or SGS 99% of the time. Agree. AGS And jaffy, you are arguing with 2 maxed combat people ^.^
  4. If it takes me 100 hours to get the weapon, I'm losing out on between 250-350m. They might not be worth it.
  5. That is assuming that tokens:Xp ratio is permanently fixed at 1:10. Does the KB say that it is? Perhaps it is possible to get more tokens:xp later on. And red, you don't "need" a spec, if the weapon hits hard enough. For example, you can whip to ~400 hp, then pull out maul for 1 hit.
  6. Sigh. People who think F2P "deserve" anything remind me of people who think they "deserve" welfare. However, fletching should be made available for dungen.
  7. You still arent supporting your claims in any way. You cant just say that this skill SEEMS LIKE a mini game. You have to give support for your arguments in order for them to be valid. You just say "This skill is nothing like other skills." without giving a detailed analysis of the specific features. If this is your argument, I offer you a counter argument "This skill is EXACTLY like other skills." Who can win this way? It isnt a discussion. You need to elaborate. But honestly, if YOU (just yourself) want to hate the skill because "OMG it feels so liek wrong" then thats fine by me. Not everyone chooses to come up with rationalities to guide their life. Hell, its why religion exists (and is so popular). But my problem lies with the fact that people are saying that Jagex NEEDS to change the skill, or that the skill IS flawed, or that the skill IS a mini game. If you want to say that YOU THINK it is a mini game, then fine. No ammount of reason or evidence will convince you otherwise since your judgements arent based on anything factual. I just have a problem when people say this game IS something, or factually NEEDS something, because they are just giving their irrational opinion on the subject and treating it like it is a fact. Sigh, flame instead of argue logically. I just supported my claims. I said I liked it. However, it fits far more categories that minigames would then skills would. Jagex also says F2P is NOT a demo. Doesn't mean it isn't.
  8. Can someone answer these questions? I feel like I haven't been answered because you guys realise that your complaints against this skill are completely illogical. This is no less of a skill than slayer. In fact, I see many similarities between it and slayer, in terms of the way the skill works and how you get exp and rewards. Slayer is probably the most popular skill, with a majority of the population in love with it, and also the exp is quite slow and nobody complains about it. Then Jagex releases a skill that is similar to slayer, but more complex and involving, and you guys complain. The way I see it, you being given a random dungeon is exactly parallel to you being given a random task of monsters to kill. You complete the challenge, get exp, and move on to the next random chellenge. *Compares this to Minigames. Fits w/ almost all of them in characteristics.* *Compares to all skills (outside slayer, which I disagree is ANYTHING like this "skill") nothing like them. *Choses category to put this update->minigame* Its very nice content. My main caveats are: 1. It seems more like a minigame. 2. The rewards are amazing, but unless the tokens come in faster, or by some other method, at higher levels, you will need a very high dungeon level to buy equipment that is unlocked levels before. 3. It shouldn't be based off XP, but off skill, ability to get to a certain level, clearing levels, etc. More like raiding. Because, in essence, you need to *grind* to get to new content, or so it seems.
  9. Yes it was, You got a feather  He was talking about the hilt... if you hadn't noticed. What? LS = Lootshare, his LS was on since he got a feather. Sigh. I got a feather from the CHEST. I DIDN"T get anything from the HILT.
  10. My LS wasn't on yet. Typical stone luck.
  11. Ely's not even a green now. People are panic selling them. Which is fine for me. Still gona buy it.
  12. If I say LLLLLLL, it means I thought it quite funny. LOL is just kinda, meh. Overused. LLLLL conveys that something is actually funny.
  13. Bandos chest+Tassies, DFS, Fury, V helm, Infinity boots, whip/sol/rune x bow, and bl00 sw cape. Looks cool, and is my setup for 2.5briding.
  14. I'd disagree Mstr. People mainly corp for LSP, or to try and get a divine/ely.
  15. Bad idea for a skill. Its a mini game, or activity. LAME
  16. Hmm, for some reason I was thinking otherwise. Thanks
  17. How close is White Phat to Ely shield? As far as being able to trade one for another. Friend got ely and is gona sell to me, but I might just have him trade it for a white phat, then sell that to me if I can. Then later, I can trade it for an ely.
  18. At least someone loves fridays...
  19. Yer right, if they would have done it back then when they were not this valuable I can understand. I read your opinion too fast, sorry. <_< And using other items to base the economy on or to use as a currency doesn't count for everyone. For me personally the GP hasn't decreased in value. It's just easier to make cash nowadays (espec in member)... But the main things I don't like is the Ubereasy way certain money comes into game... I'm very glad they kinda solved the PvP trick (76k trick I believe?) or at least that's what I've heard. But there are other silly, no-skill ways, like the fruitbat papaya way. It doesn't take an awefull longtime to gather charms & reach the required level. But every day I see guys in edgeville doing this. I heard over 500k/hr... That's just insane for not doing anything special and not gaining XP. Also merch clans made the honoust players playtime frustrating. While we are farming herbs, slaying, whatever... Certain people abuse the ge system & many many people who are silly enough to think they can earn cash. While they're simply abused by some smart players who use this method and not doing a dang thing except making false promises and cheating the game. Knowing furies increase in value doesn't concern me at all, there are way more nasty things that need Jagex priority to be worked on... Another thing that bothers me is item flipping. A guy in my CC spends 30mil every day flipping items, buying low and selling way higher. Ok nobody notices problems from this, but it's not the way GE should work imo Thats stupid to say that the ge should work so that flipping doesn't or wouldn't work. Just plain out ignorant. The WHOLE premise of the GE is supply and demand. People buy up when there is an over supply, or more supply, and sell when there is more demand. Without flippers, some things would be very hard to buy. I'm willing to consistently pay 5% for my supplies so that I can buy them instantly.
  20. Sorry Rach, but I'd have to agree with Jagex. Although Tip.it is often the fastest place to get their guides up on new content, sal's quest guides are simply unrivaled by any I've seen. That would include Tip.Its. Their website has incredible guides, while I would have to say Tip.Its are only above average. No offense to the authors, some of the guides on the forums are simply amazing. And geek, Tip.it Guides are just about as rarely updated.
  21. How, exactly, does one get "crashed" in a single combat zone?
  22. Two main options. Either bring V helm, K top, and V skirt and tank them fine, or bring full verac, and pray mage 100%. If you do the later, it would probably be better to bring a tort, and bring some food+pray pots. (shouldn't need more then a few brews.) Fill tort with bones before you leave.
  23. *sigh* I have twice as much xp in attack, as you have total. So don't condescend to my response, please. What you suggest is not only quite slow, but ignores potential profit. Make the best plate you can, or smelt gold w/ gold gaunts. Either is fast. Or you can buy everything, and super heat.
  24. None of that is luck. DKS have a VERY steady drop rate, not to mention hides+bones are already 1m+ gp/hr.
