Should Jagex start beta testing with players?
There are literally thousands of players who'd be willing to beta-test for free, heh. Also, violating a NDA is a criminal offense; so long as Jagex explains the repercussions of leaking information, I doubt very many players would be willing to take the risk. I'm sure Jagex would be capable of keeping a tight lid on things. It would be tough to prove whom disclosed information, unless each person is only given a specific part of the content.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2
I used *a lot* of guns, not just one. That's why. Prestiged ASAP after getting 70. Double xp weekend FTW. Loving it. Plan on going for 4 guns maxed. Intervention, FAMAS, Spas-12, and ump45/scar-h (silenced). Not sure which one yet.

Can I recruit for my merchanting clan in the Recruitment Forum?
You have an Administrator and a Global Mod posting saying it is against the rules, and you still ask for "proof"? Do you not understand? THIS IS THE PROOF. When they say it is a rule, it is a rule. Because they said it is. Read the post above yours. Laikrob said it was against the rules so therefore, it must be against the rules, because Laikrob said it was. No, its not. Admins are NOT the law. They can create a rule, and then we will have it, but they DO have limits. The argument that because because Laikrob said it was against the rule, it must be against the rule is IDIOTIC. In essence, since this isn't a manipulation clan, the ban against manipulation clans is not applicable. Now, a rule could be made that would forbid all types of economic clans, and I would agree with it. My point is, there isn't a rule that forbids this yet, so there is nothing wrong with it. Granted, he won't get any (or very few) takers, but this is a principle thing. A mod could post saying that posting R rated pictures and vids and the like was ok, but he would be WRONG. We have a rule against that, so whatever that mod said would be wrong. The rule could be changed, or the definition of what is "R" could be changed, but until something of that nature is done, we still have a rule which requires enforcement. Obviously admins and mods have lee way as far as determining what is spamming, what is going beyond the allowed limits of "mild, intelligent flaming," and the like. But they can NOT arbitrarily make rules up. On the other hand, if the staff decides that any type of investment clan is a manipulation clan of some sort or another, then of course this is against the rules. As the rules stand now, there is nothing prohibiting it. Don't take this too serious. No offense to the staff is in any way intended.

Purpose of rune essence?
Cheaper deaths, nats, etc maybe, but essence would be cheaper as well.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2
Sorry to interrupt the debate... Although I do game with PC, dedicated servers are nice, but it is also nice to get random lobbies sometime Just got level 70. Should I prestige soon? Already finished all FAMAS challenges, except for headshots. Also, yesterday started using the 5-7-11 killstreak reward, and managed to get 2 chopper gunners and 2 ac-130s. I prefer CG tbh.

Can I recruit for my merchanting clan in the Recruitment Forum?
Except that merchenting clans are not equal to manipulating clans. No one has yet proven that they are unlawful. I am not advocating the OP or his clan, or anything of the sort. Simply acting as a sort of check and balance for the mods. If they want to say something is against the rule, does anyone really think it too much to ask for proof to be given?

Runescapes simple UI
Ye, I agree. That really is an asinine argument. Making something easier isn't a bad thing always. It would allow certain things, such as prayer switching and spell switching to become easier, etc. I fail to see how improving the interface is a bad thing. Do you use combat familiars? They are a PAIN in the arse to get to attack something before I kill it.

How many brown spices do I need?
Game tick is .6 seconds. Stats only drop once a minute though, so 100 game ticks.

He wants proof lady. Without it, there is no basis for your objections. Staff members OPINIONS don't matter. RULES are different. No offense intended, but without proof, you don't have a leg to stand on.

Inflation..
Not exactly. Don't blame PvP, there are far more factors, with a combined weight of more then PvP, I believe. These would include the rogue, alching, etc.

What would I need to upgrade ely to divine? This is a longer term goal. Have quite a bit of tokkul, so I can get an onyx or two to help.

Tip.it Times 2 May 2010
To call the Times 'formal' is wrong. It is an open personalized editorial section. I think that to call it formal is just plain wrong. And Btw, saying 'TBH' isn't exactly grammatically correct, is it? Isay we just agree to dissagree, and leave it at that we will never agree. Did you read back a few posts? I said that a forum post is different. Acronyms, etc are accepted. I still feel that what one wouldn't write in a letter to a friend, doesn't belong in the Times, E.G using "you" instead of "one". Racheya is old enough to practice decent grammar on a more formal piece like the Times. http://www.utexas.edu/law/faculty/wschiess/legalwriting/2006/02/using-you-when-writing-for-nonlawyers.html Now, according to this, "you" is correct. However, unless one can be certain that "you" will indeed include all the members of the audience at least, I would shy away from its use.

TBH, personal opinion is rather moot. Rules of grammar and writing aren't open to personal interpretation, as far as to what is acceptable. Certain things always are wrong, other things may be allowed. One should N E V E R use "you". One should use "one". A forum post is one thing, a more formal piece, such as the Times, should require correct grammar.

Not necessarily. There is no specific format, and many articles are written in a first person, journalistic style. Except for the fact that this isn't a journal? Is it too much to ask that proper rules of grammar and writing be followed?
