Coming from someone who has very low strength and attack, and high defense, I claim BS to your claims that str/attack don't need an update. Also, according to your logic, neither fishing, hunting, or woodcutting should get an update. After all, a higher level in any of these skills will increase your speed at which you gather these resources. If there is any skill which needs HLC, it is slayer.

They are good enough at Dk to be better than a bunyip. They heal 14 hp a minute, boost def, and help by killing a few spins. They are better at bosses such as TDS than a yip, but not for just general healing.

There are also a few on these forums which I shall decline from naming. -.- Troll stronghold is one option, or you could kill Pee Hat and Kraker on Death Platea. These drop grantie shields, and there are other trolls which you can also kill. Stay away from the thrower trolls though.

The spirit shield is ABSOLUTELY nowhere near as good as a DFS. The DFS is the penultimate shield class. It is excellent for ranging aviansies, killing any dragon (of course), tanking at bandos if you don't have guthans, maging at Dagganoth kings, ranging at zil, and it has a myriad or other uses. However, don't buy one unless you are: A) Going to use it a TON right away, such as camping at aviansies or killing green dragons for a few mill cash or B) have at least 2-3m to spare after you buy it. The only reason I sold mine is because I wanted an AGS more.
