Efficiency
Actually, I forgot to post that this was for each side to post. Its just an interesting comparision. Not to mention, the fact that there are 5-6 of us to 1 of you is fairly even odds. I don't see what you are proving. That is like me saying many black people voted for Obama, you say, I am black and I didn't. It doesn't prove anything. I believe more anti efficiency people are people who don't play for goals, or for the long term, then efficiency players. I am efficient, because I enjoy making, and meeting goals. And considering, you have been made a fool of by basic logic more then you've "tricked" anyone, I fail to see humor in your point. Although your brand of thinking is fairly common in the real world.

Is Arcane Stream worth it?
It's only a few larges for 43k tokens... If you're ever ice bursting, get the tome of frost IN ADDITION to your arcane stream + sol. EDIT: Ohwait, sol is 2-handed. But it's still worth getting. Its at least 6 larges, at 75k xp/each, so at higher DG. Thats at least 5 hours. Thats anywhere from 5-25m worth of time. Water runes don't cost that much. AS saves you money in runes (Fewer casts/kill @ dks) and more kills/hr, thus more kills/trip, not to mention the "beating off crashers" bit. Even if you only mage occasionally, get it. Eventually, you'll probably want 85, enough tokens there to get Scroll of life, AS, and a chaotic. BTW, to the above^ Fury is almost always better then ranging ammy/Strength. I can't really think of a situation, outside safespot ranging, or maxing in cwars, where they are better then fury. (Outside, for strength, PvP)

Guide to efficient Frost dragon slaying.
I tested out 3-74 minute trips with full void, deflector, ACP, snakeskin boots, and archer (i). I used runite bolts. I used around 180 runite bolts a trip, and 1.3k or 1.7k cannonballs (I forgot which x.x). I repotted with x range every 6 minutes, and got an average of 170 kills/trip, so around 153 kills/hr. However, I used far fewer prayer pots, even with only +6 prayer. So, it came out to around 125k range xp/hr, and 153 kills/hr. I can do a more extensive test later on, if you'd like, logging everything. These first few trips were more a test run ranging. Melee, I maxed at around 205 bones/hr.

Chaotic Rapier vs Longsword
I still prefer CLS+Defender to CLS/CR+defender at TDs, even in void. I'd only consider divine if using titan, which is a [bleep] to use.

+9001. This is where you have to take other things into consideration. I got some reading done, some work done, and played MW2 all whilst getting 300 MA rank. I'm also very interested in what the "efficient" people do in real life: I know at least 3 efficient players who are either engineers, or math majors. (Physics major here) And ring_world, once again you, like others, make a very basic logical fallacy, WE CAN'T DETERMINE "FUN" SCIENTIFICALLY. We can tell you the best way to do things. Stop taking "Fun" into topics like this, as it varies. Being a noob isn't fun for everyone, being maxed isn't fun for everyone, being efficient isn't fun for everyone, etc. You people ARE inefficient if you don't train the best way, but if you enjoy it, go ahead. But, if you are doing things in a way which takes longer then it should, why would you expect no one to ever notice it? Racheya, no offense, but I suggest you take a course in basic logic, and debate. You continue to use illogical arguments. As G_B said, why rage at the "elitists" on the efficient side, when there are (Arguably) far more idiots on the other side, especially based on the number of people who slay with a DFS.

I got it because it was a goal: to get the best gear. I have it, for the most part. Was it efficient? No. But was it worth it? Hell yes. BTW, I have 301 rank :P

You could be a n00b tuber. Yet noob tubing gets kills, and lots of them. If a guys wants alot of kills, noob tubing, to them, is efficient. To others, however, they are a noob, for getting cheap kills. Its like d claw rushing in pvp; Its noobish, but commonly effective, especially for kills. @'efficency' It really is their problem in the end. I could care less if they would rather spend 22 mil on a bcp when they could use a torso, instead of getting up non combat skills that might help them in the future, but hey. Thats their problem. However, I do hate when they try to rube off their efficient religion on everyone else. Killing slayer monsters with anything less than the best results in 'lrn2beefficient' or 'noob gear'. Maybe I like the look of the gear? Maybe im not trying to look like a cookie cutter high level?(bandos, claws, etc.)When people say'lol glory noob, get fury' I laugh. The bonuses...really do nothing. But thats my opinion. (i also dont wanna spend 10+ mil on something when I can not and say I didnt) See, if you want to use a glory over fury, go ahead. But when you say that "The bonuses....really do nothing" That isn't an opinion. That can be proven. And its been proven that the bonuses ARE helpful. There is a difference between an OPINION and a FACT. We've had this glory vs fury debate before. You can prove which is better...and by how much...etc. Now, for you, the bonuses may not be enough to balance out the cost. But don't discount fury altogether.

You know, all those economic "rules" failed to prevent the crash and the fact many people loose their job? It's also time real life stops worshipping all those gurus who think of "fundamental rules" in completely non-fundamental environments! Please don't introduce these things into runescape! Because the whole "housing bubble" was SO caused by only good business practice...

Efficiency
I have actually said MULTIPLE times already that if you find being efficient to be fun, then great. But don't push it on other people. *Cough* No one is...Unless they ASK. Why give BAD advice in H&A when you can give GOOD advice. If you want to give advice about what you find fun, make sure you SAY SO. People making wild claims that CLS>CR when slaying, when WE'VE PROVEN OTHERWISE are going to get lambasted, and proven wrong. Same for moneymaking methods, etc.

Efficiency
Actually, I have a job where I purposely come 20 minutes early, because it saves me 30+ minutes later. And you know what? I LOVE MY JOB. There is a mathematical, scientific, testable, and thus provable BEST way to do many things, including training skills. Well people ask for advice, they normally want the best/fastest/most gp/hr way. EG, if I ask about the best way to train mining @ 80 mining, I would expect answers talking about granite (Most xp/hr) and C Gold (AFK, profit, and still fast). I would NOT expect advice about mining copper, or iron. (Unless F2P). If I asked about best herb to grow, I would expect people to take into advice average profit per seed, and profit per run, as well as xp. I wouldn't expect answers based on feelings (Don't grow snapdragons, they may be more profit, but the seeds cost too much). Fun, however, is another matter. That is not only highly subjective, but also what a person considers fun varies over time. I used to love mining. Now I rarely train it. Advice shouldn't be based only on what an individual considers "fun", although that can be a factor. In my case, enjoyment, and AFK-ability is why I'd chose C Gold over granite. Efficiency is about getting the most out of your time. That is why I laugh when people call me a "no lifer". The majority of them, outside the trolls, are probably training quite slower then I am. Granted, I don't always enjoy being efficient in everything, hence why I still go to GWD, and play certain minigames, etc. But remember, whilst you are killing specters without a cannon, tanking them, I'll be finishing my task there in 20 minutes, and profiting more off the time saved then the other saved in P pots. Yet even then, that doesn't mean I'm "better". I just enjoy a different style of play. Even so, making fun of one who is efficient because of whatever you think about them, really makes no sense. Our advice is better (normally) then those who only factor in "fun" or what they THINK is a good way to train, and we achieve more. Its how we enjoy to play. But its still a game. Play how you WANT, but if you ask, we'll tell you the EFFICIENT way, and you make up your own mind if you enjoy it. As my nooby friend ( :D ) above me said, posting on TIF isn't helping us much on RS, but I personally not only enjoy it, but I enjoy helping others achieving their real potential. RACHEYA: Directed to you. You ASSUME that being efficient ISN'T fun. That may be true to you, but for us efficient players, it is actually far MORE fun. You assume far to much, and it actually proves the point we have been saying.

Fine, as long as you aren't on MY team. I'll kick you if you are.

What needs to be "Tweaked" in RS?
I love annoying others by doing this on my noob account. The easiest solution to this is to switch worlds btw. I really want jagex to diversify into new technologies, Unity Browser runs games well in your browser for example. It would be good if they could tap into some of the indie gaming talent especially as they were once an indie little game. There is so much cool stuff going on, if you really look for it. It's a pity that newcomers to the gaming scene get such little publicity and audience. Like max and the magic marker etc. I would love new content for skills and if they opened up new areas in the map, like a massive contents expansion. Those aren't quite minor tweaks though :P

1,500 - done. 1,800 or 2,000?
Logical fallacy detected: Most people are asking for the BEST way to train something. The fastest, most efficient way is normally the BEST, unless you factor in "fun". Since "fun" is VERY subjective, as well as being something which can't be measured, an individual needs to figure out where they sacrifice one for the other, unless they always train the most "fun" OR efficient way. Personally, for me, the most efficient way is normally the most enjoyable.

Extreme potions: cheaper than normal ones?
If you apply that "potting every 5-8 minutes" to normal range potions then you are doing exactly what I stated already. Every minute equals 1 boosted level. So say if you pot every let's say 7 minutes, you pot after your stats have dropped 7 levels, which makes your range 105/99. This is exactly what I've been saying the whole time, so I don't know where you keep going with this. And if you want me to apply this to extremes, I'm just saying that potting every 17 minutes will make extremes cheaper than if you pot every 5-8 minutes. This can also be seen in my original post. L Kirby, what he means is, whether it is extremes or supers, most people repot after, say, 5 minutes. There, the picture isn't quite so clear: does the higher boost of extremes more than make up for the extra cost of repotting every 5 minutes compared to repotting every 5 minutes with supers? That'd be interesting to figure out. Myself, I repot less often with extremes, but I usually wait for x-level as that's harder to mess up (for melee, I wait until I'm down to 110). I factored the melee x pots as gp/xp to make, making them for herb xp. Technically, they are free to use then. Kirby, that is 100% the wrong way to think about it, as well. One simply can not only take into consideration a single factor and try to make a point about something. To not factor in xp, opportunity cost, and real life usage you will be nowhere accurate.
