I took the liberty of counting all the books in my room. I stopped counting at 85, because frankly the back wardrobe shelves were quite dark and dustry. Assuming an average mass of 350 grams, [around 12 ounces], the total mass is :29.75 kilograms. Assuming all of my books were to fall on my head from a height of 2.5 meters [the height of my ceiling], actually this doesn't matter because acceleration due to gravity is constant at 9.8 ms2. Since force is a product of mass x acceleration, total force would be around 291.55 Newtons. Still there are lots of factors to see if this would actually kill me such as collision elasticity, stress at point of impact, momentum. etc... I'm quite sure it would kill me. :thumbup:
