  1. Going by the first three results on google, its a type of cake. But in context it !may!, be a 4chan injoke or a nickname for a person - a nickname that we !all! don't know
  2. marble cake ALSO the game There are now 12,939,521 less sane people on the internet.
  3. Gutenberg was a [bleep]arse, who was essentially made the equivalent of today's millions through bribery, theft and essentially the misfortune of others. {What I've been led to believe - from a !book!, cant remember exact title} Agree on Dostoevksy, haven't read The Brothers Karamazov, planning to have read parts of Notes from the Underground and some of his critical essays. Aryabhata - astronomer, mathematician and general awesome'ness. Edison coupled with Tesla - the men who made the modern world. Awesome French Philosopher [he didn't like to think himself as one] called Michel de' Montaigne. Great if you ever need relevant toilet humor. I seriously think that Churchill is over-rated, both as a leader and as a human. Albert Einsten to some degree. Galileo, however he had a neon sign whereas another [forget this guy's name] had a guy in a chicken suit. - Reffering to development on the theory of planetary motion etc...
  4. That was a secret in the first place ? Personally I find Camus to be superior to Sartre and on an equal level of Kafka. Dostoevsky is in a league of his own. Perhaps that will depress you even more ? Try milk-plus ? Oops. Bit of the ol' in out ?
  5. You mean we created God, as in we just made him up? No, that's the way I was trying to avoid. We could have created God through our belief in Him. A sort of hero syndrome - you create a hero by believing in them. I see human belief as a very powerful tool. So, you're saying that God only exists in our minds and only because we believe in him? But that's very similar to believing we made him up: the only difference is whether the original theologins believed it themseleves, or whether they knew it was a lie. Or did I misunderstand you--did you mean we literaly, physicaly created God by believing in him? That borders on the absurd.
  6. You know what ? All of your lists seem incredible. Put me down for one of each. For those wanting to visit Australia - it's really nothing too special. But you gotta' beware of the drop bears. ;)

Woke up at 2:30 AM Walked around doing nothing for about an hour. 3:30 I cleaned my room, organised my books, notes etc... 4:00 Started "studying" 4:01 Browsing TIF 5:45 Started studying again 6:00 Shower, Breakfast and read Cracked. 8:00 Did some random [cabbage]. 9:00 - 6:15 Wrote and memorised my paper and intermittently read Cracked, went on forums and dugg stuff.
  8. Anger problems? nope, just a pet peeve. and I hate the people in my school. they're all just so. makes me wanna choke someone. My diagnosis : Passive Agressive. elaborate? Just a unfounded theory but, you lack the ability to express and find an outlet for your anger so you resort to compressing non-sensical and irrelevant emotions and have sudden outbursts at unspecified people, simply put as a reason to be angry your brain's cognitive dissonance says that you get angry because of slow people. Where there may be an alternative reason, "and all that cal" I'm not a very good shrink, am I ?
  9. Nope, his MsPaint skills are off the wall yo. I'm all in with the cool kids, see? I'm popping off this shizzle, yo; You had better drop me while I'm hot, cause I be busting them rhymes as if there is not a tomorrow. Confession : I found the above post funny.

  11. Actually you can still eat pork and other pig products. No not really, I'd "support" it aswell seeing as I've got term papers and exams [due] tomorrow. I'm a little anxious as I just recently returned from the US - yesterday actually. But I mostly stayed far north - New York and Washington. Then I got worried, when I heard some Canadians had it. Had a hour stopover at LAX International and now my brother is coughing - its a hacking cough and he doesn't have a fever so yeah - no problems ... and this is also why I'm writing this at 4:00AM.
  12.  OT: I don't really exercise much - but I think I really should. As for eating, I much sometimes but generally I have 3 square and very healthy meals a day. Coca-Cola maybe once or twice in a fortnight. Chips maybe once in a week Chocolate and "lollies/candy" rarely. (Although I enjoy Werthers) I know what it feels like. -.- But I'm not too sad.

I try to read as much as I can mostly as a form of escapism from boredom. Read fantasy novels once in a long while, but just to put into context, over the last week I've read A Clockwork Orange (Anthony Burgess), The Stranger (Albert Camus), The Consolations of Philosophy (Alain De Botton). I like reading not only the classics but also [relatively] new and interesting books. Leave me at Borders or Barnes & Noble for a day and I'd come out with a mountain of paper. I'd like to think I'll read all the books I want to, but the reality is that I read about 30% - 40% of all the books I'd like to. Take for instance some Edgar Allan Poe - Collection of Works and Basic Kafka Collection - (Bantam Edition) - I'd love to read and re-read those but I don't find the time. As to when I read - whenever I've got time. Trying to read god is not great, in the near future. List of My Favourites : The Catcher in the Rye Animal Farm A Clockwork Orange 1985 - (Yes, it does exist - ;)) 1984 Brave New World Metamorphoses The Death of A Salesman The Stranger The Castle Most Books written by Bill Bryson Most Books written by Christopher Hitchens (regards, lateralus)
  14. If you build it, I will come. Seriously. If you build one, I'll drive it, film out of it, whatever. I can see you making a tornado movie like Sean's. I'd most def help. Maybe the summer after I graduate (you're a sophomore now right?) we should do some late-season chasing together. I'll come too, for the thrill of it. My List: Ride a tiger Streak across various place Be in space PWN runescape fire a rocket launcher shoot ALOT of guns (just for the fun of it) - remember google bot on patrol as jaek mentioned try out flinging medieval weapons go to wacken with a bunch of friends do a tour of inner america (the lesser known america) be a mountaineer be a pro MTG player own and run a bar go to several legolands witness an atom bomb being tested set a unbeatable guiness world record for something extremly outlandish own and oversee 4chan referring to above, be the grandmaster for approval of memes published on the t00bs sky dive and several not safe anywhere wishes, that if I mentioned...
  15. Yeah, I always wore a uniform in school. Even in primary school. I don't see what the main difference is between uniform and non-uniformed schools. As Latios mentioned all schools have uniforms indiscriminatly. Maybe something to do with our unseverd umbilical cord with the British. Schools here that do not have uniform, at least in the main cities are usually lowest of the low schools. Burrows for underaged drug dealers and [developmentally delayed]s. Apparently some people advocate the use of uniforms in schools because it "increases discipline" which I think is bull. To the people that say uniforms benefit the school - it may be different in the state, you know, the [cabbage]house (generally speaking) school system and all. But here most of the money from uniforms goes back into the school. I lol'd HARD at that. That seems a TAD bit shallow doesn't it ? For better or for worse, however meaningfull those relationships, they were founded on chance, and a fruit of the loom disparity. And I think that's how it SHOULD be. no one tldr this. Please ?
  16. I thought you got off on pain. :? Im with lateralus, latios, and laura.
  17. I lol'd at that. Numbers in the battle of ideas is an arbitrary concept, not fit for the purpose for which it was intended. Personally I think a socialistic system is best leaves space for corruption - however my fault again for assuming the system is intrinsically corrupt. Socrates reborn. Then again he did believe in the republic. EDIT: IMO democracy is still going on, for the fact that we are simply put, complacent and LAZY.
  18. What like a never ending loop - like a mobius strip ? I guess that would make sense, however I believe that to time travel "on this strip" you would have to travel by the 2nd dimension on the strip for it (time travel ) to be possible. ie on the small edge. How does that equate back into the real world ? Anyone mentioned the grandfather paradox, in the last 5 pages ? y/n ?
  19. Reductio ad hitlerum ad infinitum. Nazis - heh, never get old. Sorry, I had to do that. OT: How can one measure happiness in the first place ? I'm going to side with Zierro and say that terminating (killing) this baby, "or a pocket of flesh" as coolguy would say would have a negligible effect on society. I can't see a good reason, not influenced by any thoughts other than rational ones - that say keep "it" alive. If it makes the mother happy... damn, this forum is active.
  20. Sorry if I'm wrong, but did you get that from me, I quoted that sometime back on a similar thread. To the OP, I suggest you read The Myth Of Sisyphus, by Camus if you find this topic interesting. Still, what I hate is the "whys" in our life. There is the sun, the moon, the stars. All held up in the sky by gravity. But we still don't know WHY gravity exists and act the way it does. and the most simple forumla can explain it. Why does the sun exists, WHY does it burn hydrogen and helium. Personally I believe [cabbage] just happens. EDIT: - touching and concise pragmatism. Where do you come up with these things ?
  21. eek, you're back ? TO OP: Good rant ? Feeling angry ? Down ? Depressed ? Nihilistic ? Pessimistic ? Narcisstic ? Maso-thingist ? Go read a modern classic, by Penguin. OT: Ignore all the positive words, from everyone, especially from Zierro. He's dangerously optimistic - that one. Try to do this.
  22. Well howdy' y'all. I've been on "vacation" for two weeks in the land of the free. I'm back now. Anyone miss me ? Lenin sure didn't. OT: I always hate things like this - not news posts on the forum, but just general happenings such as this. It appears as if the mother is mentally ill, once the baby has passed away, I'm sure the mother will be devastated. If the baby provides somekind of support or reassurance to the mother I don't see why it shouldn't live. But then again as mentioned in the last 15 pages or so, there is actually no need. But who am I to say anything.
  23. As for eidetic, or "photographic" memory, it's just like watching a movie or seeing an array of photos in your head, though in full detail. It is very possible for me to look at something in a hurry but not register it and then read off it in my mind later when I have the time. But how do you have eidetic memory? Is it just .. a preset in your brain? I think I may have eidetic memory. This is all relative, seeing as I can't compare myself with anyone else, but I can recall with great detail - sounds, colour, patterns, and images. Also once I see a face, I dont lose it. I don't know how I do it. However when it comes to normal "memory" I'm fairly average. :-k
  24. Yeah, jeez. Quit heckling the new guy. I give it 2 weeks before you're no longer on this board. Either - a) She will have turned out to be some type of psycho or, B) She will have turned out to be some type of psycho.
  25. What makes you so sure about that? You obviously don't know of Lenticular J and his amazing adventures. I mean, at least what he's told us of his friends. [bleep]s, two-timers, junkies, drug addicts, suicide - etc.
