Havn't done the survey yet but i will later. I agree that some of the traditional subjects need to be changed. Theoretically you should know what your career path will be by the last 2 years of highschool. if not you are in for a lot of trouble when the time finally comes to choose subjects for university. Which is why finishing up this last year of school for me is a bleep because I don't need to know advanced algabra and, although i enjoy reading shakespeare, I have better things that i could be learning with my time rather then the same english courses over and over again. The way I would like to see the school system orginized is the first 2 years of high school to still contain some of the higher core courses, but have it more career orientated. such as when learning about biology actually go out into the woods and show people what is actually done in careers that use biology from day to day instead of just reading a text book and going, " this is a plant. Unlike animal cells plant cells have a cell wall". That way people will actually get an idea of what it means to be a biologist or a chemist and won't be stuck learning what each career is about from a university pamphlet. The last two years of high school could then still offer core courses but not as advanced except in areas that would help with a chosen career.

At least it sounds like you got someone who could actually speak english.

so many goodies this year. first was the mining update. first time i've ever worked on mining since i became members. then herb update which i'm still waiting on 10k vials for :thumbdown: and now a reason for me to start training hunt again :thumbsup:

And the reason why exreme pots were taken out of pvp was because they weren't listening to players? Hate the loud minority that are the pure pkers. edit- One of the reasons why it seems like they don't listen to the majority is that the majority hardly ever go onto the forums. And it is mostly when an update that a person likes gets removed that people go to them. Because of that jagex doesn't get as many topics that praise updates.

I love td's so i'm all for this suggestion. I have a couple of ideas of how it could work. 1) It could be part of one of the myreque quests i think. Can't remember whats the quest line where the werewolfs are trying to find a way over the salve? Rest of the world learns of this and sends you to set up a defence against this threat building towers along the pat that they will use to cross the river. 2) Could be part of sea slug or penguin quest as well. Either the penguins begin to get overwhelmed and ask the other races for help or they make land fall in the human lands and the same thing occurs as in the first suggestion 3) This one is my favorite. It will be a skill based minigame rather then a combat. 2 teams face each other. a zammy team and a sara team. For the zammy team summoning will be a more used skill to summon monsters while sara will rely more on construction to create towers. Each team has a base with different equipment. each base would have a anvil and forge, rocks with different ore up to rune, trees up to magic, an essance mine, a work bench with tools such as hammers, knives, ect., a multy purpose alter that can create elemental and catalytic runes, a storage bin where items will be stored and taken from, and finally a viewing orb similare to the one in fight caves that will let the viewer build towers or watch the progress of the creatures. sara team would also have a sawmil to create planks and zammy would have a spirit shard mine and a portal that will summon creatures and send them along the path to the enemy base. both team collects reasources and uses them to build towers and mosnters. For instance a basic tower would only take a few planks and either runes for strike spells, bronze arrows for range, or a halber for melee. zammy ont he other hand will use spirit shards and the items they make to summon monsters. such as making a bronze warrior by using full bronze armour and a bronze sword. each game would last for say 20-30 minutes unless zammy destroying sara base before then. Rather then having a set hp limit for sara base each time a monster reaches the base a randome person gets kicked out of the game making it harder for the team to keep defending. the kicked person would still get the rewards at the end of the game though. I think thats about it for now unless someone decides to make a post in the sugestions topic and i'll let someone els come up with creatures and towers and there abilities.

There really is no point to the censor. If people want to use offensive language they will find a way around it. Like g@y, wonder f land if they havn't fixed that one yet, the old q p w. If people really want to offend someone there are tons of ways to do it, cenor or no censor. That being said, it also isn't really appropiate to talk about mature discusions like sexual oriantation on a game, especially one that is played by younger kids. As a side note to the debate that was going on somewhere in the first half of this topic about how jagex is being fair and unbiased because both homo and hetero sexual words are blocked theres a nice big hole in that argument. The miscilenia quest line. Up coming wedding, don't get to chose your partner, ect.

Havn't gone trick or treating for a while now. Last year i went with my cousin and walked with him around town but it just seems that not many people actually enjoy haloween anymore. When i was little i remember it being rare to find more then 2 houses on a block that had their lights out and weren't handing out candy. last year with my cousin i saw entire streets of houses dark with only 1 or 2 houses giving out candy. I also remember when i was little that there were bags of chips, cans of pop, HUGE jaw breakers, and i remember this one house that would always give out bags of home made pumpkin seeds, things that would actually take you a few days to go through. Now though i remember my cousin getting only like 1 or 2 small candy bars, those cheap plastic rings and other junk. i might take my cousin again this year if he wants to go but a few of us this year are talking about making a haunted house in the basement of my friends house and throw a party for the little guys.

I'm against it. As other people have said it gives no chance to appeal in light of new evidence and actually costs more for a death row inmate then a person whos in jail for life. you only die instantly if the fall breaks your neck and even then its not a guarentee. either you die instantly, become fully paralized and slowly suffocate not even able to scream, or at wors you neck doesn't break and you slowly choke to death trying to scream, flailing around and do what normal people do when they lose the ability to breathe. and wow the new quote thing is confusing

Ya, life does seem to be dull these days. True we arn't like the old days with caravans traveling across the west fighting off indians, wolves, and bandits. But, as you said, we also have more technology now as well. Scuba diving, sky diving are to examples of things that are exciting now adays that people would never have imagined doing in the old days. And to me nothings as fun as kyaking(sp?) down some white water and my mom also has some interesting stories of when she was growing up near the ocean about how she would take her kyak down to the water and ride some of the waves that the oil tankers and other big ships would make when they came into port. You can still find adventure in todays world its just not as constant as the life or death struggles that used to take place.

I stopped actually paying atention to who got the nobel peace prize after the abortion doctor or whatever he was got it and caused the big controversy a while ago. But ya, giving it to the guy who's running a country that uses torture, and is fighting in two wars... that pretty much takes away whatever meaning was left in the award.

Doesn't the US have bigger things to worry about at the moment, such as a crumbling infrastructure, health care, heck how much is the national debt now? 13 trillion i think. And now their going to spend another couple of million to see if there is water on the moon in the hopes of spending another several billion for a moon base?

It's possible to set your workers to get teak and mahogany logs but if you look at this table you can see that they actually would cost you more money than if you bought them off the GE. My suggestion would be to put your workers as follows: 10 on raw fish and 5 on coal mining. Then sell the materials you get for money which you could use to buy more teak and mahogany logs for construction. ;) grr havn't figured out how the new quote thing works yet i'm more interested if they give the new teak and mahogany logs that came with the wood cutting update rather then cash. the reason why i'm asking is because if you do get the new logs thats basically a free inventory of planks and it might actually be more cost effective to put my workers on mahogany or teak depending on how many of the new logs you get instead of getting other reasources, selling them, buying logs, then, on top of that, turn them into planks.

yuck the new themes are horrible. Its between either being blinded or barly being able to see anything. Hope they add more especially the old black theme from the previouse forums. i can never get to sleep without reading for at least an hour or two. I read mostly fantasy and the occasional sci fi here and there. I just finished reading R.A. salvatore's new book "the dame" which is his third book in the saga of first king series. All three of them were great books because salvatore is great with political and religouse conflict as well as keeping his books action packed. The only thing i hated about it is that the ending was such a cliff hanger and now i have to wait a few months for his next one to come out. :ohnoes:

You do realize the administration has downplayed the idea of that? yes but it wont stop Congress from passing such a bill. if they want to tax for every mile you drive they should put in an electronic odometer to keep track of how often you drive. GPS just leads to the government knowing exactly where you are at the click of a button. I think it is a great idea to help with crime ect. but of course its going to get the "those you who give up liberty in return for security get neither" arguments.

disney started going down hill after they finished with gargoyles. Was ultimate avengers dc or marvel? if it was marvel i hope that it doesn't effect how the movie is going to look. I hope they don't get really stupid and do a spider man 4 but use an entirly different cast and don't put carnage as the villain.

It sounds cool. And what do you mean by each round of combat for several of the specials? Is it determined by opponents attack speed, your attack speed or is there a set time to it? Also i'd love to see a claymore finally get into the game and what is the deal with the snake themed items? I like the idea of using items to get them but i think that it would be better to have it so that, rather then just using one particulare familiar, using higher level ones would have different effects, such as making the chance of suceeding at mining an ore increase, or make it so that you could mine two ore at a time. or something along those lines.
