  1. I imagine it has to have come up, the problem it always runs into is it immediately shifts into an argument over whether homosexuality is inherent or a choice(people say you cant stop being black). Just for the fun of it ill dig up the bible quotes(Im for gay marriage, just for fun) leviticus chap 18:22 "Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination." Thats the main one, the bible text I found apparently doesnt have the term homosexual in it so I cant find more without some deep work. i believe in a kind and loving god. he never mentions anything about girl on girl
  2. there was one just little while ago where someone got fined $50 dollars for dropping a $10 dollar bill. some of the people the government is hiring these days are just insane

A person wants to find out about a part of history that has not been recorded so he goes back in time and durring this he *changes* a part of history by killing a person, plant, animal whatever. does he actually manage to change history?
  5. sports games. i mean playing the real thing is just so much funner then starring at a tv all day. anime ever since i had to get rid of my high speed internet when we moved and now all i see are repeats :wall: :wall:
  6. only option is to feed them inside or develope a dog only kennel with a roof. or just get a 22. once they've had a taste theres no getting rid of them. tried the bird feeder thing and that didn't work. they figured out how to turn off the boom box :ohnoes: then we got a dog that actually goes chasing after birds but they got smarter and began to have half the birds distract the dog while the others fed then they would switch jobs. actually quite funny really and you could make up for the lost dog food by opening a theater at feeding time
  7. Trying to find a better one but its basically impossible. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/uknews/5417283/Social-services-in-Nottingham-claim-mother-is-too-stupid-to-bring-up-child.html Only article i can find that actually has new information and that is that the authorities were concerned about the mother not visiting the child enough. If anyone can find a better article can you please help me out. And whats with all the personal attacks on tip it latly.
  8. looking through the forums today and i was surprised that no one posted a story about this. http://women.timesonline.co.uk/tol/life_and_style/women/families/article6396039.ece http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/uknews/5417283/Social-services-in-Nottingham-claim-mother-is-too-stupid-to-bring-up-child.html Second article is better but still not much information if anyone has a better one can you please post it. So what does tip it think? should a government have the right to take away children from parents who they think are not inteligent enough to care for them. And what exactly determins if a mother is unfit to raise her own children. I disagree with this and hope that is gets overturned because how can you base the ability of a person to raise a child based on IQ? And the fact that the questions that were used to determin if she was mentally fit enough had nothing to do with raising a child but were about who wrote mcbeth and other things that were not relevant, although most people would get that question should it be used to determin if someone is fit enough to raise a child?
  9. there's a great leviathin suggeston that has been around for a while already and some of the ideas are good. if anyone wants to take a look its in my sig. if i had to bet i'd say it would have to be either a mage or range update because its been a while since a decent update has been added. maby mist staff or a slayer helm for mage and range. i also hope they take my idea for a leviathin familiar
  10. you need to finish the quest recipe for disaster
  11. when burning vyrewatch does higher level pyre logs increase the chances of good rewards enough for it to be worth using them?
  12. some people may switch over from rs to ms and prices might go up. but on the other hand mech scape might attract its own player base from other sci fi games and it might actually increase the rs community as people try out other games from jagex. i will try it but i'm not into sci fi that much anymore and depending on the quality of the graphics i might not be able to play at all because my internet is dial up  and i've just played rs for to long to quit now
  13. i just finished reading the postbag from the hedge. zanik mentions a leviathan!!!!!
  14. all of the tiles do harm you. the trick is to not go from certain clour tiles to another. do not go from green to red blue to yellow red to blue yellow to green or u will take damage
  15. I got up this morning and tuned in to my favorite raido station as a do everyday. There was a debate going on about how the current school policy here in canada orchard petition I agree partially with the fact that students should be given another chance if they miss an assignment due to medical emergancies and the like, but if they do not finish an assignment due to lazyness or if they delibratly cheat? This would not prepare people for university or a real job. I don't know any job where you wouldn't get you head chewed off if your late with a report or anything really so should schools also be aimed at teaching children real life skills besides reading, writing, and arithmatic?
  16. i hate people like you. Unless you actually experiance drowning yourself you have no right to try to argue that it is not torture. i have almost drowned, it IS torture! I believe Godwins Law pretty much takes care of any arguments for not prosicuting them. Aside from that theres also the fact that if they let this pass the united states will no longer be able to critisize other countries that torture and ignore human rights.
  17. And here i thought we were almost out of the dark ages. The good old days where if any pesant were to commit a crime they were tortured because the royalty believed that they lacked the ability to tell the truth. Torture is a means to get people to confess, not to get people to tell the truth. clasic waterboaring experiance: Prisoner: i am not a terrorist..... *blub blub blub* interigator: are you a terrorist!! prisoner: no i am not....... *blub blub blub* interigator: are you a terrorist!!!!! prisoner: yes!!!! make it stop!!!!...*blub blub blub* interigator: do you own a pink unicorn!!! Unless you have actually experianced drowning you have no right to debate the point that someone experiancing it will do anything to make it stop. I have almost drowned and if someone were to do that to me i would without a doubt confess to anything just to make it stop even if i was innocent
  18. there already are damage reducing armour. elysian spirit shield reduces damage by 25% and it is possible to take over 198 damage because of spectral shield i think, can never remember which does what, because it makes it so that you take damage to your prayer instead of hp. a better idea would be to rebalance the triangle instead of just to keep increasing hp.
  19. With all the hype over the new H1N1 virus thats spreading right now it just seems appropriate to bring up this issue. So what do you think? If you do not get a fluvaccine there is the chance that you could catch a virus and then risk spreading it on to people who are either to young to get the vaccine or others who did not get their shots. However some vaccines do have seriouse side effects and laws in the united states (i'm not sure about the rest of the world) make it so that you are not able to sue a drug company if something does go wrong. This is best illustrated by the 1976 virus that appeared and the united states began manditory vaccinations and in the end more people died of the vaccine then the virus. I'm against manditory vacination because there is no accountability if something does go wrong while if you do get sick if your not vaccinated then you can at least blame yourself for it.
  20. i make a post in the 4th amendment thread about this and all i get is one reply but now that its a new thread people complain that its a violation of their rights? :? i especially love how the princaple told the press that since they found nothing the girl should have nothing to complain about.
  21. for our blue and pure world! anyone who gets the reference gets a cookie! seriously all you people who say that we should just kill off everyone with downs and other disorders sicken me. I'm a swimming instructor and i actually prefer to work with mentally handicapped people just because each is different and i had one student once who was only 12 with downs but could swim better then i could. And saying that people with downs syndrom don't contribute to the world? i've heard of people with mental disabilites who have perfect memory and can carve, paint, draw, ect an image perfectly even if they only see it once. If you care to continue this argument i'm just going to say that we should kill off all of the artists and musicians as well.
  22. eep its hit canada already http://www.boston.com/news/world/australia/articles/2009/04/26/who_tries_to_come_up_with_swine_flu_plan/?s_campaign=8315
  23. i'll miss him :( its a shame that he died when he did he had plans for at least 2 more books in the series and was taking down notes for a prequel series as well. i'm a fantasy nut and one of my favorite series is Naomi Novik's Temeraire series, its a historical fiction series that takes place durring the napoleonic period but involves dragons as key fighting force durring the war. i've hear a rumor that there are plans to actually make a movie out of it but i can't find out if there's truth to it. also read the forgoten realms, dragonlance, warhammer, anna mccafery's dragon riders of pern, just starting to read the shannara series now and found out that my mom had all of the original hard covers but gave them all away -.-
  24. what he said Its almost a guarentee that we are at least part of the global warming situation; but overreaching in our response could cause trouble. doom--I hope you realize red eye is a very satirous show, I cant watch interview(dial up) but even if one scientist is stupid it doesnt mean there isnt a legitimate flaw in global warming theory. Look at Al Gore, Ill wager he isnt an expert scientist yet so many people think he speaks gospel. Regardless of whether or not the show is a satire (I have never watched it. Ever, so I wouldn't know) The guy in it is in a ton of other videos online, and was on several shows. A show with satire can still have people on it who have opinions they firmly believe in. The colbert report is a good example of that. and as for the Paleocene-Eocene Thermal Maximum, if I remember right, it was a period of warming 60ish million years ago (I learned about this a while ago, so my facts might be a bit off.) where, among other things, the CO2 level rose, global temperature rose, and there were solid poles (as in no ice in the arctic, and antarctic). One of the main theories about why this happened was that there was a lot of volcanic activity, which would have released carbon into the air. While the earth does go through cycles, the general scientific consensus is that global warming is happening, and humans are contributing to it. And just because some things happen naturally, it doesn't mean that humans can't cause it. Example: Avalanches, they've been happening for far longer than humans have existed on earth. But humans can still cause avalanches. Just because something could happen naturally does not mean that it's also not caused/affected by humans. you do realise that volcanoes put out more co2 in a day then humans do in a week right?(randome number not sure of the exact amount) in fact three volcanoes were recently discovered under the north pole and it is been theorized that these volcanoes are causeing ice to melt at a faster rate and they may even be the cause of el nino. http://www.canada.com/topics/news/story.html?id=81bb2fd3-63f1-476f-b0be-f48c0dc90304 one of the articles i found but theres still a debate going on as to if these volcanoes are the cause of the decrease in sea ice in the artic. humans may have an effect on global warming but its the same as saying that a person leaving an ocean after swimming causes the water levels to drop.
  25. what i find odd is that it has the charecteristics of the avian, swine, and human strains all at once. this would be big trouble because it means that the virus has the potential to spread through birds and not just pigs and humans as in previouse strains. this could get very bad.
