  1. Most likely, you had the maximum number of different items in your bank (68 in free-to-play) when you tried adding something else. It may have confused you, because you can stock a large number of the same item in your bank (raw salmon and salmon count as separate items) as long as they "stack" in your bank. Some items stack while carrying them in your inventory (like feathers) and stack in your bank as well. If you had absolutely nothing in your bank, but were carrying ten bronze bars, 200 feathers, 2 bones, a longbow, 15 bronze arrows, and 10 iron arrows and put EVERYTHING into your bank, you would use up 6 bank spaces...one for each separate kind of item. If you had 68 items in your bank and one of them was the raw kind of salmon, you cooked some, then tried to put the cooked version in the bank without having space, you'd have received that message...because you are allowed much more space as a member. I hope that helps.
  2. I finished my 50th Slayer task in a row. [hide=Cashing in...][/hide] I promptly cashed in the points and made a couple of Rings of slaying. OH...MY...GOODNESS. Like an American Express card commercial from the 90s, I will never leave a bank without one. Certainly, I'm going to have to do some gold mining in order to sustain the steady stream of gold bars that will be getting used, but it is worth it. Above all things the Ring of Slaying provides a teleport with the absolute shortest walking distance to a fairy ring. This revolutionizes my game playing. First, I'm a sucker for the Oo'glog pools. I never start a farming run without a visit there or continue on a quest without refreshing when I can. The absolute nearest you can get (without spending a wad of cash on a charter boat) is the fairy ring destination A K S. Yes, I've memorized it. A close second in the gnome glider that takes you to 'Lemantolly Undri' ('Feldip Hills' in Gnomish) and for the past few months I've been using a broom to get to the Sorceress' Garden, running north to the cactus patch to harvest the quickly growing cactus spines, then west to the gliders to head on a short jump to the Grand Tree between Al Kharid and Feldip Hills. Everything has changed. I'm leaving out ANOTHER fantastic teleport location - Pollnivneach. I never really had a problem getting into the deep desert before, but dropping me off right in the middle of the desert in a desert effect-free zone is great! I would fairy ring teleport to the location north of Nardah, run into town, charge up hitpoints at the Eldinis altar, then run to the mysterious cave south-west of the town and west of the Agility Pyramid which would drop me off in Sophanem, but now I have an extra choice. I also get to talk with Sumona at any point and she can remind me of my current task and give me tips. In addition to the fantastic new method of getting places, the Slayer gem remains after the ring crumbles to dust! Sure, the gem is only 1 gp brand new from a Slayer Master, but it's an extra trip I don't have to worry about taking. Not only that, but Slayer trips have become less of a pain, as have trips to Slayer Masters and banking. I can thank my crafting skilling in F2P a great deal for this new found paradise of transportation. I'm not sure that it's even possible to craft the ring with assistance, but you know what? I DON'T HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT THAT! I'm still a little behind on the questing front, but I really have no desire to finish Haunted Mine, a quest that will give me another new teleporting option with the ring - Tarn's Lair. I can't believe the options this new piece of hardware gives me. I still think getting the Slayer Helmet "recipe" first is a good idea, but I certainly wish I'd have grinded through the next 300 points a lot quicker! Tonight, another trip to Tears of Guthix and waiting to see if Jagex has another release this week!
  3. As I start writing this entry, I'm 40 monsters killed from completing my 50th slayer task. In addition to a nice milestone, it will also give me the chance to spend points on a nifty new skill...crafting Slayer rings. Certainly, it will open up new teleporting possibilities. I don't really NEED a new way to get around, but I think opening up a new avenue is certainly beneficial...though all I seem to be doing anymore is slayer tasks. I don't even really like the skill! On another note: I think Treasure Trails should be moved to the Distractions & Diversions category. I can't bring myself to drop a single scroll, even if it's a paltry level one. It certainly is a distraction and certainly is a diversion from my gaming experience, but I'll just have to live with it. I still make my daily runs to farming patches and to Etceteria and Miscellania. I don't mind those "distractions" even though I'm not pleased that it seems to take up most of my game playing time. This week's trip to Tears of Guthix produced a first. For the first time, a skill other than Summoning got experience. Hunter got some experience points, but next week it will be back to Summoning. It might alternate until I can "summon" the strength to do a little hunting. Penguin Hide & Seek points went toward Herblore. There may be one more week of points into that skill before switching over to Prayer, which needs some attention. Construction, Runecrafting, Fletching, Fishing, and Cooking...all skills that probably should be worked on, but just haven't grabbed my attention lately. One final note: my usually reclusive self has made some new friends in game! Hopefully, they'll also check out my blog and post! Hey new friends! It's about time I put some new people on my friend list!
  4. I'm not a crewbie (and I completed Lunar Diplomacy before RC tabs were placed in game), but it looks like the only thing that needs to be changed there would be taking out the Astral tab from the suggestion. The other ones should still work (when changing the Dramen staff to a Lunar one), right?
  5. This is mine... [hide=MTK][/hide] Math is not my strong suit, so analyzing your data might be tough for me.
  6. I have no idea why it double-posted... I did have an update in the edit...instead of editing, it posted...so...editing this to just have the new picture...not really a shop update though... [hide=old gnomecopters place...cleaning up][/hide] I'll also include that Beefy's examine is "Specialist meat transporter"
  7. [hide=Beefy Bill's Supplies][/hide] There is a drastically new interface as well...seems to hide how much coins you have or something...didn't take pictures of that because I'm SURE people will see it soon...
  8. Posted once before (not even by me), but it's worth re-posting.
  9. Dorgesh-Kaan map could use a facelift. Map used in The Chosen Commander guide got me thinking...there's a new quest icon there...plus Tegdak could be put there, which would make a cleaner edition of the map used in the guide (has lots of NPC dots showing up there). Also...not sure, but the Fremennik Isles mining maps...have they changed?
  10. I seem to remember seeing somewhere that search clues are being requested to get the full clue text. Here is one near the top of the search list. [hide=Al Kharid Clue Scroll Crates][/hide] [hide=New Clue Find][/hide] If this isn't the place for it, let me know and I'll be glad to start posting the ones I get there.
  11. I can confirm this as well... [hide=Aw, come on Milton!][/hide] [hide=Further dialogue...][/hide] [hide=So Much For Secrecy!][/hide] [hide=Entre, s'il vous plait][/hide]
  12. I was bored and decided to check on this for you. [hide=Falador Tool Leprechaun - Cabbage][/hide] Yep!
  13. Hmm OK interesting... will check that out then. Was there anything in your iventory that could possibly have anything to do with it? I couldn't possibly guess. I always have coins in my inventory...amulet of glory and ring of wealth, boots of lightness and spotted cape (not spottier). Maybe it's more about levels than inventory anyway. If your other numbers all make sense and that's the only one, I don't know what to say. It was definitely 29. Maybe it was the emote I chose. Other than that, don't want to speculate.
  14. It was 29. Almost took a screen shot because I thought perhaps you wouldn't believe what I was posting. Triple-checked it. 29.
  15. started magic...casted anvil teleport...succeeded...just barely...ended early...159 points score. started agility...did "jump for joy" emote...ended early...29 points score. started ranged...equipped bow and arrow and shot at popenjay, level 10...40 points score Wore full ringmaster before talking to each assistant. Hope that helps...I'm going to get the experience from now on!
  16. I was bored and I decided to check on this for you. There appears to be a shop there...still. [hide=West Ardougne General Store][/hide] I gathered the usual info on it...just in case! The guy's name is Chadwell.
  17. Well, as I'm 99 magic, I cannot do anything higher than my ability. Since you're 75, I thought you might possibly get more points if you succeed something higher than your level. (Hopefully not - but I want to confirm this.) It doesn't matter if you fail, I'd still be interested in the points you get from that. I'm not sure...I know you get less experience if you barely succeed, so I'm guessing it would be that way with points, too. Hmm... could be... I will look into it. But either way, I'm still looking to check on the system being the same for each person. The circus has now moved to Rimmington, so you can try it now. My stats are in my signature...take a look at it, decide what you want me to do for those events that I'm less suited for and let me know. I will do the circus and report the findings tomorrow after I penguin search.
  18. I just saw this! http://www.tip.it/runescape/index.php?rs2quest_id=202

  20. Are the new monsters tough to beat? I haven't tried the quest and probably won't start it until this weekend. I'm just wondering what all the new monsters are or if they're mostly ones that already exist.
  21. What happens if I fail the anvil teleport? Shouldn't I do something with a higher likelihood of passing? I'm only level 75 magic. I think it's highly likely that I get the ranged task completed, but perhaps one of those lower level teleports or a level 10 magic spell would be better, no? I will wear full ringmaster and i suppose wield the bow and arrows for the popenjay.
  22. If you need help, I can give you one week. Write out some instructions here for me and I'll report my findings. Hopefully you'll get some more help, because I just can't give up those points each week.
  23. As time passes, I'm finding it more and more difficult to find ways to keep myself entertained. Tonight, I was able to level up three different skills, but with only one of them causing a major impact to my goal list. [hide=Varrock Area Hard tasks list updated!][/hide] I mined iron until I was able to smelt steel bars and level up to 71. I bought myself a Dwarven stout (m) and traveled to the south-east anvil in Varrock. I downed the stout and smithed a few Adamant med helms. One more task can be crossed off my Varrock Acheivement Diary. I also leveled up in crafting while creating molten glass and making empty vials. This week's visit to Juna and Tears of Guthix bumped me to level 55 Summoning. One more and I'll be able to cross off one of my Falador Achievement Diary tasks. I will have to train Hunter in order to keep ToG points pouring in to my non-trained skill of Summoning. I had a sub-standard week of gathering tears, but I still managed to surpass my Hunter skill experience total! Now that there are no more immediate Smithing goals for me, I'd imagine my Penguin Hide & Seek points will go to Herblore. I've taken a slight break from Slayer tasks after crossing off a Karamja Achievement Diary task by receiving a task from Duradel and slaying the requisite number of Suquah. I did a little Vyrewatch killing in the Meyerditch and might either go back for more or switch over to black knights to get my White Knight rank a bit higher. In the meantime, perhaps Jagex will provide some new content or at least some much needed updates...we all can only hope! P.S. Did you know that my submission was accepted for this week's Tip.It Times 'Did You Know?' (It was: The Lunar seal can be worn in the necklace spot without having to be strung.)
  24. Could you? Probably, but not enough to make it worthwhile. You might be able to kill a mithril dragon...maybe. If you're gonna try and kill a Brutal Green, why not try and kill a Mithril? I think you'll be dead either way (if you have to ask the question, that is), but might as well shoot for the stars instead of the top of the building.
