Need knight's notes? (Crewbie Response Requested)
I'm planning on turning in the Knight's notes tomorrow. Let me know Crewbies!

Construction (POH portals)
That's perfect. That's what I was looking for. Extrememly useful.

Slayer tasks...
Did you do the Hero's Quest?
-
Construction (POH portals)
I'm asking what order in the room the portals appear when you choose to focus them. If I do Varrock in the first one, Kharyll in the second, and Camelot in the third, how will they be oriented if I'm looking through the opening of the portal room (the door spot)? Which will be to my left and which will be to my right?
-
Construction (POH portals)
There is a list: 1. Nowhere 2. Nowhere 3. Nowhere ...and I'm guessing 2 is located across from the entrance to the portal room. ____________ .........2........ ?.......O.......? ___..........___ ...something like that (without the '.' as placeholders). I'm trying to figure out which goes where.

I guess this is my last chance to see if someone will check on it... BUMP

Slayer tasks...
Is it impossible for a slayer master to assign a monster that you cannot yet slay or would I have to be wary of having to have the correct level in case some slayer master assigned a monster I couldn't fight (and have to burthrope if I didn't have 30 points)?

Construction (POH portals)
I wasn't as concerned with replacing the wrong one as trying to set it up so I could remember where the easiest to reach portals would be and make it quicker to access when making runs for stuff and using house teles...

Construction (POH portals)
Ah...well, the numbers are there when you examine the focus...each number corresponds to a portal. I have no idea if they are still there once the portal is focused. Is anyone near their POH with portals focused? Can you look at the focus and see which numbers have which portals focused to them and then see how they are oriented to the door opening? I'm pretty sure the back wall would be the second one!

Construction (POH portals)
So, once I focus the portals, I don't ever have to do it again? What would be the case that I do have to re-do the focusing? Or if I wanted to... And what order are they? They are numbered 1 to 3, right? So is 1 the one to the right of the door if I'm looking into the room or to the left?

Construction (POH portals)
I was wondering exactly how portals work. If I "enchant" or "focus" a portal, do I have to leave that portal there or can I upgrade it to better materials? What about the focuses themselves? Do they get upgraded or do I have to rip out the old stuff to put in new ones which would mean wasting runes (especially wasting the laws). I just don't want to find out later that I'm stuck with Teak portals and a limestone focus.

Need knight's notes? (Crewbie Response Requested)
I thought I saw Crewbies were looking for screen shots of the dialogue for some important quests or side-quests. I got bored and took my first trip to the GWD tonight and am about to take the Knight's notes to Sir Tiffy. Since it's a lot of dialogue (A LOT), before I go about taking screen shots and putting them together, is this something Crewbies want? If it is, a crewbie's instructions for exactly how they'd like it and if they want anything special done for it (certain clothing worn, what they are looking for, if it's something they want to use) let me know. I will wait a day or so before handing in the notes, so there should be some time to get back to me before I won't have access to it. If it's not something Tip.It is interested in, a mod can lock this thread and let me know. I know there are some things in the Crewbie Missions, but I didn't see anything I could help with. Missions are especially helpful on a night like tonight that I'm bored and looking for things to do!

You have to be more specific! What do you need help with!?

mourning end part 2 quest help.
I'm not sure what steps you've already completed, but go down...that could mean something about the ladders or steps? Oh wait a second...you need a rope for that part I think...you're trying to get to the leftmost ladder on that second level...I don't think it's even a ladder, I think you have to put a rope there to climb down. Look at that map again, see how there is a ladder in the middle of a circular opening? There is a low wall that you have to climb over to get in there.

Bronze Dragon Task.
That's why I said that. Anyway, though, I'll probably try the Brimhaven Dungeon first, because I'm familiar with it. I hate it for fire giants, but that's just because there are a lot better spots with fire giants. If there's not much else for Bronze Dragons, I'll be happy to go there. : On the topic of summoning, that's why I'm slaying. I'm only 10 summon, and stockpiling charms right now. I know why you thought I didn't know your levels, but hopefully you now understand what I meant. Good luck with the task. Like it's been said, once you do the task once, you won't think it's that bad. By no means would I want 100 of them, but 30-50 isn't too bad.

Bronze Dragon Task.
Right, my mistake...forgot what they were, but it's not like that's any better... What difference does proximity to a bank make? It's not like you're gonna want to bank all those bronze bars. Again, it's not that hard to get to the Bronze Dragons if you know the route. I use the Oo'glog pools and can get there in just a couple of minutes. You have to know how which portals to use in the CT and you have to know which route to take in the BD. Also, if he/she doesn't have a ranked summoning level, why bring up that it's an advantage if it isn't going to be an advantage to him/her? I know it's an opinion, but I think in the cases and situations I've mentioned, the BD is better. Go ahead and do it where you want, but I think it's a lot quicker in the BD. A LOT quicker. MUCH MUCH quicker. If it's not speed you care about, then go ahead, do it in the CT. You know, I've gotten too passionate about such a small thing. I apologize. Do what you want.

Bronze Dragon Task.
George - doesn't matter if you hate it...learn to love it...I tried it at both and it's just easier...go ahead...deal with multiple enemies if you want. Have fun, but you're missing out on an easier place to do it. Also, I wasn't really unsure of your levels...I couldn't remember where my levels were then in comparison to yours now. Cat - you're right about not perma-banning and about them being pretty easy, but going to the Chaos Tunnels just isn't the best way. There's only two, it's multi-combat, the earth warrior guys are always wandering in to attack. Also, he/she doesn't have access to piety right now. Seriously, I don't get why people are so in love with the Chaos Tunnels. It's not even that much quicker to get to, not that much safer, either. I never visited Brimhaven's dungeon until I had to do the Bronze Dragons slayer task and after trying both places, it's just superior to CT.

Anyone still have a bull roarer?
Well, I never got rid of anything from that quest...I still have mine, but how could I possibly help? I don't think it can be lent.

SportsGuy's blog -> Membership, the 65+ plateau, and beyond
Another week of Penguin Hide & Seek and more points into Smithing. I wonder when I'll decide to switch over to a different skill. I thought of putting it into Herblore, but I've been gathering so many herbs with the Slayer tasks I've been completing, I thought perhaps I'd see how much experience I could get off the concoctions I'll be able to mix. Speaking of Slayer, I finally 'purchased' the ability to make a Slayer Helmet from a slayer master. Turoths, Cave Crawlers, Basilisks, Dagannoths, and Jungle Horrors...OH MY! [hide=Slayer Helmet] [/hide] The black mask turned out to be pretty expensive, but I think it's one of those rare pieces of armor that's worth it. I didn't get a mask on my Slayer task in the caves, but I think it's necessary to use that helmet for all slayer tasks from now on. It may become a near permanent fixture on my head! If the black mask prices go up, I could always sell it for a slight profit. During one of the tasks, I made it up to Combat Level 99! One more and it's hello Duradel for slayer tasks! I'm not too far away from the mid-seventies in all my combat skills (except for prayer which needs some heavy duty training). It was a productive couple of days. I managed to buy a skeletal armor set on the G.E. and finished one more task on the Fremennik diary, leaving a mithril dragon kill as the last step on that journey. I don't think I'm strong enough for one yet, but I might try it next week! It depends on how desperate I am to cross something off my list. I managed to put another set of armor into my POH costume room along with the Skeletal Armor as well...the shade robes from the random event. In fact, I've waited since the beginning of my time as a member to get this set...and now I'm already working on a second set! It's not by design of course, but I just can't bring myself to avoid a shade random event and got two back-to-back during the same slayer task. I see it...I kill it. On the mini-quest front, Purple Cat has been completed and I was able to check on the Spirit of Summer extra experience rewards after having several clue scroll clues leading into the wilderness. Unfortunately, two long trails lead to more items I already have, including another page to my already completed Holy Book. It looks more and more like that Zammy d'hide armor set will never be completed! This week I'll be able to take part in Tears of Guthix without completing a quest. That means I'll be able to wait until the next update to see if another quest gets released and I can start working on some of those pesky level requirements!

Bronze Dragon Task.
Since you asked how to complete one (and if look here: http://forum.tip.it/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=777892 or here: http://forum.tip.it/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=776981, you'll see that I also had no idea how to handle those things) and my levels were probably at or lower than yours the first time I took them on, here's what I did. I recommend taking about four antifire mixes and eight to twelve prayer potions along with one or two good food items. Get your best gear on (with some kind of anti-dragon shield) and a good weapon (I used a ddp++ to poison and switched to a dragon long at first and then just started taking a ddp++), a one click teleport, 1100 gp (just for good measure) and some fire and nature runes with you to the Brimhaven dungeon. Use the Oo'glog pools (all the relevant ones), then teleport to Ardougne. Run south to the dock, pay the fare to the island, run south and east to the bar and pick up the bronze axe. Run back to the house teleport in the west of Brimhaven, then south to the entrance of the dungeon. Cut your way in, run west to the stepping stones near the Moss Giants, cross them, run south through the fire giants, cut your way into the black demon area and run east. A tactic I like to use is to get a creature to attack me that I DON'T want to fight in the area right before the creatures I do want to fight. Hopefully, one of those dogs will try and attack right before you enter the bronze dragon area. Then, run in and position yourself so the only thing that will attack you once the other animal wanders away is a bronze. Once it attacks and does a bit of damage, I use a potion and/or turn on the prayer. The great thing about Brimhaven is that after fighting there for a little while, all the enemies become non-aggressive (if you stay there) and will let you be much more selective about the fighting. Bury the dragon bones to make room for loot, but leave the bronze bars...don't even bother alching them. If you get low on potions or protection, teleport out and restock. Until the animals become non-aggressive, try and position yourself near another bronze before you finish off the one you're killing. They're not that tough, but they are scary if you've never fought anything but blues or greens. I do think you need antifire potion, but I'm not sure of your levels. In fact, you should read up on a guide of the dungeons to make sure you can reach those guys before you set off (some minor agility and I think woodcutting requirements). Happy Hunting. I don't mind those tasks (I wouldn't ban them because they're usually only about 45 and I can knock off 20 or so each trip...more if I get lucky and get a Leo the Gravedigger random event to stow some of the loot. Oh, before you decide you're gonna leave the area, you might as well fill up on dragon bones or bronze bars. A less than full inventory is wasted money!

Mournings Ends Part 2 help
I personally prefer the tip.it one (and not jsut cause i wrote it) While it is very difficult to describe in words I found the tip.it wording (even after tweaks) easier to follow and the maps for each puzzle setup were far far easier to follow than HQS pictures imo But I'd agree with msot other 10 - 15 ppots will suffice I thought the Tip.It guide could use a TON of work. It was confusing at first, then okay, but still, some places never seemed to be clear. I used it and made it through alright, but I thought the maps were more helpful. I know it's hard to describe it (as you mentioned), but I thought it should probably have been broken up into pieces where you could memorize what you had to do for a stretch while you were in harms way, then get you back to a safe spot where you could rest and read up on the next part.

Slayer Masters??
Yes you need 85 combat to do the Smoking Kills quest. I'm just curious how you figure out what your F2P combat would be if you are P2P and have a bunch of summoning levels...go to an F2P world and it switches your combat levels? Is there a way to check it with a formula?

Mournings Ends Part 2 help
You don't need that many. You just don't...first of all, you can't carry that many with you at one time. MAYBE you'd need that many if you had no idea how to do the quest and had to do it trial and error, but there is a guide here on the site. I recommend trying to get two steps out of the way at a time and the last set of instructions by itself. I would actually just wear some good defense gear with a few prayer boosting items (not robes) a couple of good food items and some prayer potions and a one click teleport. It took me less than 20 prayer DOSES, let alone prayer potions. Granted...I studied to know what I had to do before I went in each time, but that's just me...take advantage of "safe spots" to boost your HP if it falls a little low (saving some food and prayer points while you're doing it).
