An update to the Dragon Slayer guide
I think the guide is the way it is because it's an F2P available quest. When I was F2P, the sawmill was unavailable.

Evil Daves Spices For Spicy Stews Correction
You gotta give them some time! Take it from a guy who weeks ago has submitted stuff and only recently has it been looked at. They have a lot of stuff to sort through (not the least of which are applications)...I know it's hard, but like the rest of us, exercise your patience a little!

beacon network
I've done as many as I can do and I use this method to train firemaking...as dry runs for the full thing. I don't think it's necessary to have done the whole thing to have a good plan. For example, I said, "use the best logs you can" which would mean whichever he's able to use or has on hand. He's looking to make it efficient and wanted to know the correct teleports. Again, there are plenty of guides out there that go into more depth, but he or she could have looked for them and instead posted here. I was helping this person with a short answer and a strategy...which is exactly what was asked for. I suppose some people post when they don't know what they're talking about, but I've never had a problem with beacons going out. If he or she specifically asked for help on lighting all of the beacons, I wouldn't have posted, because I can't light them all yet. What I provided was a good strategy, I think, at any level of firemaking.

beacon network
Always use the best logs you can burn and that includes the ones you give the people who are watching the beacons for you. Also, load all the beacons first...don't start lighting until they've all been filled. Rather than going in a straight line, do the ones that are nearest to teleports first and the hardest ones to reach last...why? Because if you have to go back to relight, you can easily access the ones close to teleport locations with more logs. Carry as many logs with you as you can when going around to light (to give to the beacon watchers). Make sure you've "unlocked" them, too. Possible teleports include: Ring of Dueling (Castle Wars is a one click bank and not far from a balloon you can use to reach some of the far east beacons and Fist of Guthix is near THREE beacons), Amulet of Glory (Edgeville), Goblin Village Sphere, Necklace of Games, and runes for Trollheim. Use your best 'beast of burden' familiar, preferably one with a "run" scroll of some kind, and use the pools at Oo'glog first.

Dream Mentor fight help plz..
I haven't finished this quest either...it scares me (I don't want to lose good stuff fighting it). I've not heard of the ranging methods listed here...I'll have to remember them.

chewed bones
Someone pointed out to me that if Chewed Bones were available on the G.E. the prices would be astronomical (seeing as how they have a chance at giving a DFH (dragon full helm) with a pyre ship burn). So, you'll have to get them if you want them.

my latest clue scroll
Magic is an important skill, so train it...use this clue as a reason to train it hardcore.

dealing with scabaras quest.
There are lots of places on the net that describe the minimum number of tries you need to solve the puzzle. Basically, it involves drawing yourself a grid to help remember exactly where each one is located and starting at the top and clicking three until you get a match or find all three. Always do those three non-combat rooms first, THEN the scarab.

chewed bones
Some other websites say that Brutals drop them...this one does not. I trust Tip.It, but I am curious as to why the other sites would say otherwise.

cropping screenshots?
Is there a place he can go to learn all this stuff? Or perhaps reposting in your old posts? Anyway, if you have MS Paint, you can go to the menu bar on the program and choose paste and it should paste the whole screen. Before you click to edit it, move the picture to crop out the topmost and leftmost parts of the screen. Once you've done that, click it down, then use the scroll bars to find the rightmost and bottommost parts. There should be a tiny blue square right outside the editable area. If you click that and drag it, it will crop out anything you don't want from the lowermost right. Then just edit your picture accordingly.

Clue Scroll - Entrana Drawers
I had heard that Crewbies are looking for exact wording for clues. Since the ones written in the Treasure Trails guide were different from the clue I got, I took pictures. Furthermore, the drawer to be searched is along the south wall of the house. [hide=Clue][/hide] [hide=Clue location][/hide] It must be a huge undertaking to get all new shots or proof shots, but if there is a specific list, I'd be happy to stay alert and get more.

SportsGuy's blog -> Membership, the 65+ plateau, and beyond
I started this blog mostly for me. That is, I didn't really intend anyone outside me to read it let alone post in my blog. There have been just as many quick posts as there have been constructive and encouraging ones. That's not to say that the people aren't being nice, but why post unless you have something nice to say? Fortunately, most do post encouragingly. I wish my readers luck on their goals and if it's a kind post (without criticism or snarky comment) I might visit your blog as well. In fact, if there weren't blog readers, there wouldn't be a place on here to blog. Thanks so much to those of you who visit each week or each day to see if there is something new! Anyway... Another week, another Tears of Guthix visit and another level in Summoning. That makes 53 levels (and counting) with only three pouches made (and had I been smart about it, I could have bought the ones I needed for the Spirit of Summer quest on the G.E. instead of making them). I started to look for new things to occupy my time, but fell back on slayer tasks. First up, bloodvelds. I meleed them in the Slayer Tower with minimal difficultly and perhaps one or two trips out (it was a large task, but the drops either high alch well or stack). Dagannoths were next up...over 150 of them from Chaldear. NOT a fun task, especially since I don't like using a Dwarven Cannon for anything. After a bunch of melee trips and no special drops and only one level gained, I went back for a new task and this time, to my delight, it was Fire Giants. Far from annoying, the task of over 110 was a great money maker. It also got me a full crystal key and anoter level in ranging. Once my trip was done, I went over to Taverly (with enough cash for a crystal bow recharge at Ilfeen in Isafdar). What a great trip THAT turned out to be! [hide=A pleasant trip to Taverly...][/hide] The next slayer task...Cave Horrors. Yes, they're easy to kill, but the trip to the cave and back for banking is a pain. The herb seed drops are nice, but since I don't have much space in the bank I can't stay long before having to use some of them. Two or three trips later and I'm still working on them. I'll edit this post when I'm finished, but after that, it might be next week before ya'll get another update! Now that quests are running in short supply, I have to start evaluating whether to finish some important ones or wait for new ones to be released before picking one to do each week. Sure, some of the quests allow for new spells, but I'm thinking much more each week about stretching out the game. This week will probably be spent on slayer tasks and gathering resources. I might try working on something like fishing, though it would be Barbarian style and not monkfish, since I have such a large amount of them left for using during combat. I have to go back through my task lists, goals, and other posts in order to see if I've missed updating one or two items. One more thing: I STILL HAVEN'T HAD A DRAGON DROP! Not even a spear, which would be fine with me for now! I wonder if the Ring of Wealth means only that you get a higher average drop and thus takes out the really big ones and the really small ones from the equation. That would be a shame. I know I should be attempting some tougher mini-games or side-quests, but for now, straight combat or slayer will have to do!

Starting a blog help?
When you get the image link from a hosting site and copy it to this site, simply highlight it with your mouse and then click on the "hide=" button above. Once you do so, it will put everything there into a hide box when you click submit. To edit what the button will say, type something in after the '=' sign but before the end bracket. Blogging can be difficult because you know all the stuff you've done and might not know what to put in and what to leave out. Since lots of people don't read them, I've chosen to make mine a place to keep all my personal goals and tasks. Of course, that's just a suggestion...start out with what you've already done and see how much you want to put into it (time and effort-wise) and try and remember to hit that 'prt scr' button whenever something happens that you find amazing! Good luck!

Would Mithril Dragons be suicide?
Ah, but have you ever done a mangled bones pyre ship as well? I've done that...killed the spirit that comes. So, if you haven't maybe that's what you have to do to finish that part of the training? Or not...since I've never done the chewed bones thing.
-
Would Mithril Dragons be suicide?
Mangled bones don't advance you in the Barbarian Training. They DO advance you in the diary, but you still have to have killed a Mithril Dragon for one of the hard tasks on the Fremennik Diary.
-
Would Mithril Dragons be suicide?
If I go, I want to kill one for the diary and at least one chewed bones for the Barbarian Training. That's really it. I don't want it to take me hours for one kill or risk my high level stuff or pay through the nose for bolts I might not use for a long time.

Would Mithril Dragons be suicide?
[hide=] [/hide] Bro i feel ya. i still feel like a noob member sometimes. :? But anywayz, i'd still say ranging is definitely your best option. Especially since you don't have that good barrows, and (no offense) your melee stats are kinda weak...hell mine are compared to those things. So range them with your range stuff, and protect from range, and use antifire pot w/ antidrag shield. The black dhide should negate their mage att down considerably, so most likely even monkfish or sharks should give you a good trip, as opposed to super expensive brews and super restores. Trust, it's not as scary as it used to be, but it can get frustrating if you make a mistake. Also, make sure you have a glory in the bank in case you do happen to die(which you shouldn't let happen, just tele and come back)OH, almost forgot, it may be better to use a ring of life first trip to get the hang of it, and then a recoil afterward which can aid a lot in the killing of the drag. Also what the guy before me said. lolz. Since you've been very helpful, would you recommend just waiting a little bit until I get over 100 combat or something? Maybe until I save up for some barrows gear or something? Like I mentioned, I've read a couple of guides that seem to indicate minimum levels and gear much better than I'm using. I don't want to risk any of my stuff. Losing it would not be fun to me.
-
Would Mithril Dragons be suicide?
Could I melee them? I don't have any barrows stuff. The ranging method seems so risky (with the ruby-e bolts). My best set up would be Helm of Neitznot Glory Ammy Rune Plate Rune Platelegs Rune Kite Klank's Gauntlets RoW Frem boots Legends cape (no abby whip, so I don't know what the best weapon other than that should be) My best ranging stuff would be... Archer's helm Glory Ammy Black d-hide Black d-hide chaps Anti-dragon shield Black d-hide [bleep]y vambs RoW Snakeskin boots Rune Crossbow (i suppose i need those diamond tipped and ruby tipped enchanted bolts) Maging doesn't sound like an option for me I know...I don't have great stuff, but I haven't been a member that long and don't have a lot of spare cash and I don't have great combat stats to try stuff like barrows or a big clan to battle with.
-
Would Mithril Dragons be suicide?
I've read two different guides on Mithril Dragons and it seems like these things are the most dangerous things I can fight. Not only do I want the challenge, but if I kill one, I finish the Fremennik Diary. At my levels, could I survive one? Even better, could I survive enough to get chewed bones as a drop to finish off the Barbarian Training?

Dagganoths slayer task...any advice?
I said I go to the lighthouse withOUT a cannon, it's pretty easy seeing as how they're weak. Then again, I haven't had a dagganoth task since the CT were created. I apologize, I should have been more clear. I was hoping for more suggestions than just yours (too many mentioned cannon).
-
Dagganoths slayer task...any advice?
Again...NO CANNON and no desire to use one. On a related note, is there a world where people attempt the Dag Kings in groups? I know there isn't a special world, but is there an unofficial one?
-
Dagganoths slayer task...any advice?
I have been slaying Dagganoths for the last day or so in the Waterbirth Dungeon. I don't own a cannon (and don't really want to) and other than just bringing bunches of prayer potions and a little food I can't think of a better way to handle it...it's taking a long time, though. How can I speed up a task of over 100 of those tough guys?

Suqahs
Range them from a bridge. Easy, don't need food.

Graphically updated monsters
[hide=Correction?] [/hide] By NO means am I criticizing your work, but I do think a little touch up on his right arm (the left as we look at him) needs to be done. It's where the other image touched his bracers. You can see the color (the gray) near the [bleep]es is different from the solid color that makes up most of the bracers (or vambraces...or whatever). EXCELLENT job and I'd have tried to help if I knew how to do it or how much work you put into it.

Rocking Out
That's amazingly simple! Wow...can't believe I missed it! Was it available before the quest (I'm sure it must have been)? Thanks pokemama!
