  1. You should go with as many normal players as possible so that the effect of your lack of defence is minimized. For binds you need a melee weapon and a surgebox. For the second bind, try to find a hood, if you can't find one bind a staff or bow+arrows. Which chaotic you should get depends entirely on what you want to do with it. If you are mainly going to be fighting other pures, you should get the rapier though.
  2. AFK fish Monkfish til 90 (or if you want to get there faster, semi-afk Shilo or concentrate at Barbarian) then rocktail.
  3. Dclaws are about 500k for a 24 hour lend at best, there are a lot of people lending them. It's a big pain logging into w2 every day and competing with 5 other people to lend them, but if you want to go for it. I wouldn't buy them simply to lend them though.
  4. And so, Mazzz, it seems to me that based on that data, Jagex wasn't lying when they said they made Z bow and Virtus more common than the other items. Nah it's just bad luck. In my own 6 drops, for some different data, I've had no Virtus and none of the three most expensive items. If you look at the numbers, "junk" drops worth less than 300m make up 40% of Nex's unique items, though the GE prices of all the items are fairly similar. So that creates some tension in LS situations (ie miss torva pieces to get LSP, get Virtus drop, next LSed drop is Torva/Pernix). Jagex never said they made Virtus/Zbow more common, it was just a badly worded newspost. In terms of the pricing of the items, it's slanted because Zaryte Bow and Virtus pieces are much less useful than the other Nex drops.
  5. What armour were you using? I'm going to try out Karils + Neitz helm + curses on my next trip and see how smoothly it goes

    Night Spiders

I believe the Slayer drops (Doomcore, Blood Necklace, Hex, etc) are 1/16, but it seems the hood drop was lowered to 1/32 or 1/64. I've seen maybe a dozen hood drops over 33m exp, but a friend is on 93 dungeoneering no hood after dozens of spiders.
  7. Rapier is better for the minis but the maul is a clear favorite on Nex.
  8. If you melee as much as they do and have someone SOL tank the last phase, div/ely don't matter
  9. Honestly I believe this is the best way to do it. Maul outhits range with ruby if you have void, even if it doesn't seem that way sometimes. Also, the larger your team is the less opportunity Nex has to heal and the quicker your specs take her down in the first form, which reduces supply costs more than linearly. So go get void already everyone :P Protip if everyone is in void you avoid the negative consequences that usually happen if you're the only one in it. My only question is a comparison of turmoil+leech to piety+rigour, considering you melee 70% of the kill. Basic math would say that (approximately) 1.09*70 + 0.85*30 (curses) is about 2% better than the equivalent with regular prayers. Plus you have to take into account the usefulness of having better claw specs, the benefit of leeching Nex's stats, and the fact that you can avoid most of the damage in the Shadow phase anyway. I also laughed at the banking method lmao. Gf if your key needs recharging, but a creative way to get your team together. And what is that? Do you mean for the whole team?
  10. @The armadyl comment: We decided if we're doing 4:1 (not attempting a second even if massive supplies), void is better. I use arma body + deflector for range and void body + maul for melee.
  11. Meant to type this up for a while, this is a bit of a checklist, not a full guide. Not including a gear section because there are a lot of methods at this point. Straight range gear, void, SOL, etc. Your gear will depend on the team you go with. This is general enough to not include gear. General -Have full special attack before you go in (getting to GWD drains it so drink a dose of special recover). Overload, brew up to 1150, restore once, and replace these with 4 dose potions. -Quickprays are Protect from Magic, Piety, and optionally Protect Item. -Make sure you have a teleport, antipoison/Sanfew, overloads, bolts, all your gear, and all your equipment slots filled. -Have an overload timer and don't panic brew when you are getting 500 lifepoints back. -KO potential is highest during the Smoke phase (from the mage attack, getting pulled in, and potentially getting hit with her special attack in the center. -The worst places to mess up are not luring Nex during the shadow phase (massive team damage) or running away during the Blood/Zaros phases which decreases damage while increasing healing. Form One - Smoke -In larger teams you should DD and have one person stand to the east or south to take the cough -In smaller teams, you should spread out around the spawn and try to stay 1 square apart to prevent virus spreading -On spawn, quickpray, make sure you're OL boosted, and claw spec. After these specs, turn on Rigour. -Two schools of thought after specs if Nex doesn't immediately call Fumus: stay in center to minimize magic damage or stay on the edges to avoid "There is no escape" -Kill Fumus (using melee if you have it) Form Two - Shadow -ONCE FUMUS IS DEAD HIT NEX ONCE THEN SWITCH TO RANGE PRAYER. Nex does not change forms until you hit her once, which matters when you switch from mage to range prayer and back. -Spread out a bit. This form hits more damage the closer you are to Nex. If you are far enough away and are praying range, she will only do 20-30 damage at a time. -If Nex gets on you try to move away since Nex will start doing small but consistent damage in addition to her normal attacks when she is on you, but keep attacking in between running clicks. -Move away from the black spots on the ground ("Fear the shadow") -When Nex calls Umbra, whoever she is on needs to run away to the opposite corner and drag her away. If everyone just stands at Umbra, Nex will stand next to the group and deal massive damage. Dragging her away lets the rest of your team kill Umbra with no damage taken. -Kill Umbra (using melee if you have it), hit Nex once, and switch back to mage pray. Form Three - Blood -Nex starts off this phase with a siphon so do not attack when she switches forms. -By now you should have a claw spec (if not drink special restore). Use it. -If you brought melee gear, you should be meleeing this form. Try to stay together since moving around does not affect damage taken and only makes it harder to deal enough damage to cope with Nex's healing. Also, if you stay in melee range she will use her healing magic attacks less and call Cruor sooner. -Nex's Blood Sacrifice is unavoidable if you are in melee range, so keep your prayer as low as possible without running out so halving your points won't be a huge deal for your supplies. -Nex siphons after she does 5 attacks following the Blood Sacrifice. Make sure you DO NOT HIT NEX WHEN SHE IS SIPHONING. -Ignore the blood reavers, or if you want you can kill them while Nex is siphoning. -Kill Cruor with melee, nothing of note here, and hit Nex once to transition to the Ice Phase. Form Four - Ice -Move to the southwest corner because Nex will freeze you and you still want to be close enough to Glacies to range it even if Frozen. -Nex has two special attacks during this phase, both of which are avoidable, but both of which turn your prayer off and deal significant damage. Her normal attack freezes you for a second but does not hit very much. -"Die Now in a Prison of Ice" traps one person inside a 3x3 icicle box. You can free your teammate by breaking the ice directly next to them (diagonally does nothing). If you are trapped inside, first safe as high as possible because Nex can hit 200s (because your prayer is off) while being stuck in the prison can do 700s. Then spamclick outside of the box so that you will run out immediately if someone frees you. Note that running into someone else's prison of ice does not do the damage to you; only one person is vulnerable. -"Contain This!" creates a 6x6 icicle structure around Nex. It is avoidable if you run away from Nex when she says this, though sometimes she moves very quickly and puts it around you anyway if she is targeting you. It turns prayer off and can hit 300 or so, not as much as the prison. Note that even if you're killing Glacies, you should still avoid this attack and continue ranging Glacies from outside the box. -For that reason I suggest killing Glacies with range. Don't forget to free teammates stuck in ice. -After Glacies is dead, you should all DD or stay within Nex's melee range. The most common place to DD is where Glacies was standing, but it doesn't have to be there. Remember to hit Nex once...there is a short pause before her next form starts attacking and you don't really want to be frozen after Glacies is dead. Form Five - Zaros -Nex switches between no prayer, soul split, and protect melee. She also heals 6000 hp at the start of this phase to make this form last 12k lifepoints. -Like phase 3, you should stay in melee range. Nex has a multitarget mage attack again which, combined with soul split, makes her a pain. You should be trying to do as much damage as quickly as possible during this phase, and keeping her in melee range means you can constantly attack her and she does attacks that deal less damage while soul splitting. -Nex attacks the person with the lowest defence stats. If someone brought a Staff of Light, have them use the special and brew down so Nex melees them with reduced strength. -You can melee Nex during the first two prayers if you want, but switch to range for the third because her deflect deals back a huge percentage of the damage you do. -If you brought a decent amount of spec restore, use a claw spec here. -When Nex says "Taste my Wrath" run away in any direction. Don't run early though, there's time.
  12. You have to pay to get the bonus exp, and existing members may be unhappy but probably won't quit over free exp. So yeah they'll keep pumping them out.
  13. Those are some pretty optimistic numbers especially with today's prices. I'd say it's around 11-13m gp/hr right now. But really there is enough demand for a lot of Nex items still to come.
  14. Get your torstols now, they're about to break 100k each in GE No buyables left so I'll just do my highest couple DG floors
  15. Eventually, Torva along with Pernix and Virtus will become more affordable since people continue to milk Nex for those pieces. Having a good 5-10 people team is guaranteed at least 1 unique piece of armor from what I heard. Don't forget that updates brings more weapons/armors that could become a favor to hunting Nex more efficiently. Helm COULD be atleast reach ~150m but the platebody.....nah. 5-10 people can get 2-5 kills per trip depending on gear and the droprate for any item is about 1/25-1/30. 4 out of the 10 pieces are useless, so Torva/Pernix is really only one piece for quite a few trips of 5-10 experienced people. Right now the prices are so affordable because there are no buyers. In 1-2 weeks I think they will be HIGHER than they are now, simply because everyone is scared to put money into items falling in price. But the Nex hype has already died down. As much as we like to say there are a lot of high levels, the number of people with Overloads and the gear required for most teams (entailing a high Dungeoneering as well) is limiting. There are ample lootshare worlds available even in the middle of the day when Bandos, Corp, and TDs are packed. The number of new Nex drops is still limited. I'd say invest in some cheap Nex drops now or in a day before they go back up if you've got the spare cash.
  16. Nope. Turm doesn't do anything because you always use normal prayers, but she's impossible to kill without overloads, and nearly impossible to damage without ccbow. That's not strictly true, you can use brews+restores without potting, and use a regular rune xbow, but you'd have to be in a team that doesn't give a crap (like a RSOF team).
  17. Yay for returning at your own pace (constant killing) in larger teams Atm Ancient ceremonial runs 75-100m a set in the GE (maybe down to 20-50m by the time you read this) so I would suggest just getting the KC manually or waiting a few weeks for price to die down.
  18. 15-16-446-62433378 Apparently they did. I agree, it would have been *very* stupid to just increase Zaryte/Virtus.
  19. 15-16-446-62433378 Jmod confirmation that torva and pernix were increased as well.
  20. Rat pits is the ultimate example I agree with your article, Logdotzip. I absolutely hate wasting developer time on content that will never be used by *anyone.*
  21. you do realise everyone who nexs and everyone on this thread uses steel titan on kc? and with claws + steel + ovl i can do kc in about 8:30 5 isnt quite possible perhaps they could have some way to make dung lower the kc, like at 70 dung u only need 30, at 90 only 20, at 110 only 15, and at 120 dung you only need to kill 10 8:30 sounds about right Nice suggestion with the dungeoneering but you know for sure that won't be received well :-(
