  1. Any particular reason? Or are you just following the trend of bucking the trend? After age 15, that slowly starts fading. So I believe. But anyways, literally just about nothing is going to change because they're even keeping their own offices; They only made a brief press release about it on the site. The advertising budgets aren't really something any network marketer can just get into either; The lowest budget to advertise on YouTube seems to be $25,000. And they'll probably treat you as a class-b advertiser with the minimum sum.
  2. Yeah according to this Antares is like 1/trillionth of a pixel. How is the universe moving and where is it moving? In a liquid substance? Emptiness? Is it floating? It just crossed my mind that the concept of "endless" is impossible to grasp. There always must be something out of "nothingness".
  3. Really? I've never had that problem with any food. d00d! Haven't you seen Supersize Me? Yeah but then again he only proved old Mcdonald wrong on their advertising statement that their food is "nourishing" and "healthy". He consumed their products as a breakfast, as lunch and as dinner. Not many people do that, but yeah, he was severely depressed and even suicidal, he gained like 30 pounds of weight, in a MONTH. I'll just stick to my pasta bolognese and salad, thanks.
  4. That must be so annoying. You know you're a millionaire, but you really aren't, and you'll have to wait for 20 years to get the full sum. During tha time you could get bored and spend your annual 'pension'...
  5. Tuscan Whole Milk http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/custom ... urmet-food ... Wt... I thought Amazon is at least half-serious? :P Edit- Finally, thank the lord.
  6. Just look who made the topic. He has lied in over half of them. I'd knock you out if I knew you in real life. * off.
  7. Lol, never heard of such a cancer. Heard of prostate cancer though. Anyways life isn't karma, don't expect anything. A person could murder 100 people and get away with it if he/she pushes the right buttons. While I have often been astonished by the "law" of karma, I must agree with you. Life as a natural course of actions is not karma. It just exists. It all boils down to how other people react and how well you hide your own intentions. Some people could spend their entire lives helping poor people and they'd be beaten to death for the sake of stealing a few hundred dollars from the person's purse. Other people spend their life with assasinations, money laundering, etc. with no moral repercussions and they don't even feel bad about it, and they die happy and rich.
  8. How on earth are they supposed to control that? :-k
  9. This one time somebody had left a 95% eaten banana in the center of the hallway. I just couldn't resist slipping on it intentionally. I also ate a raw, living fish from the classroom aquarium for $20 when I was about 14. That was the most disgusting thing I've done so far and I'd much rather eat human excrement than repeat that. My stomach simply went nuts for the next 12 hours or so.
  10. Waaay back on my grade 5 ski trip years ago is what got me into skiing. I had no real interest until we all went out that one day and I loved every minute of it. Snowboarding is not really my thing. I usually make an effort to try it once or twice every year but I'm a dedicated skier. Maybe its because I don't like skateboarding at all? Well, a lot of people I know enjoy skiing far more than snowboarding because you have more control. When snowboarding it's easy to trip over just because of a small mistake even if you've been doing it for years, which is nearly impossible while skiing.
  11. Genesis 19: 32: 'And the firstborn said unto the younger, Our father is old, and there is not a man in the earth to come in unto us after the manner of all the earth', this seemed the only tid bit that made sense to what you were saying, please explain? You probably have a kids censored learn-abc Bible, the real one talks about two women on incest and making your own father drunk so that you can 'preserve his seed'. This is from my hard copy one, might vary from one publication to another: I'm not a religious nut, I own all the major holy books and other spiritual books as well. They're interesting to read sometimes, but as Zonorhc pointed out I wouldn't necessarily even want my own child to read some of the stuff (the example above isn't even nearly as bad as some of the stuff in the Bible)
  12. You don't have to listen to anything some fanatic guy has to say, at least nobody can force you to. Just take your MP3 and listen to some Vader or Dimmu Borgir out of spite, if he yells at you for doing so, follow the advice above by deloriagod. Personally I think it's ridiculous to "suck it up", it's your life and if you're not even religious, you don't have to spend 2 hours of your life examining the length of your thumbnails. Remember which millennia we live in.
  13. :offtopic: There is absolutely no difference between Croatian and Serbian (or Bosnian for that matter), other than a few different spellings, and virtually no difference between slovenian and other south slavic languages other than spellings. Czech and Slovak start resembling Polish, which is only about 50-70% similar to south slavic languages. Just be careful so that you don't end up with a black eye... O:)
  14. Ooo, that reminds me of the Fiji Water imported directly from Fiji I had. :P Talk about coincidence...I was thinking exactly about that, my father left a bottle at our house and right now I'm drinking a protein shake off it. Yeah, the one with silver colored letters and a nice waterfall landscape inside the bottle. But still, I think a waste of money. I just love the ironic comments about it... Yes, people do rate this stuff. Edit- Comment #4, rofl..
  15. A good point, but the same is true for anything, including science. Think of how many people believe that humans evolved without knowing for themselves how we know it happens. I grew up being told that we were made out of atoms - and I believed it despite never having learned for myself, at least how we know that. To blindly believe in any scientific theory without doing your own research and making your own conclusions is like blindly believing in Santa. Do you agree? Yeah, and I don't even believe in human evolution as I were taught in school. I did my own research and it's a pile of dung that "humans evolved from apes". Maybe ape-like species, but the amount of misinformation is huge. That's the #1 thing that slaps me in the head when people speak about evolution. And yes, it's dumb to believe in a theory if you don't even know what it is. Though, a child believing he is made out of atoms has more rational beliefs than say, a child whose parents in a remote village taught him that "our holy book says all humans were made of clay so that's what you're made of". Why? Because, eventually when the atom child has enough intelligence, he will see his theory is true because he couldn't exist without consisting of atoms like everything in the universe. The other kid will be frustrated just like with santa claus when he finds out he was lied to once again.
  16. You guys apparently haven't been to Svalbard. It's one of the best places in the world to snowboard in and the scenery is stunning, like from some LOTR movie (though the coldness is stunning too, so beware). I've been there for two consecutive years now with my bro and a friend. Also the vast areas guarantee there aren't even really any tourists around; the country itself is one of the northernmost on Earth and it has only a few thousand people. :)
  17. Shame on you. Luck is a relative thing. :notalk: Though, you said you'd been told you could re-enact the Battle of Hastings on the rugby pitch. Your teacher is simply awesome...
  18. Bottled water in a western country imported from overseas with a huge cargo aeroplane that burns tons of fuel on the water's way from a fountain/waterfall/river to the consumer. Biggest waste of money ever, I just don't get it. :-k On a general level, probably one of the best purchases I made was a portable MP3 player and a USB-powered battery recharger. Pure awesomeness.
  19. When you grow older, you start gathering information and eventually, sooner or later, you'll find out "toothfairy" was your mom and "santa" was your grandfather. As you grow mentally, you'll probably start wondering the same about God, and I think it's necessary. To blindly believe in God is like blindly believing in santa, just because you were told he exists, instead of doing your own research and making your own conclusions you did even as a child. Science and A Higher Power have nothing to do with each other This coming from the person that believes science disproves God... ON TOPIC: As a Christian, the trailer intrigues me. I kind of want to see it, but I kind of don't. Seeing it wouldn't really enlighten me, it would kind of just... embarrass me in a sense. But it would be interesting. Well, you can rest assured God can't be "disproven". :) (On the other hand, should a God decide to give us direct proof right now, he could actually be proven to exist, but that's out of question too right now) I didn't watch it, but if you want to, just try to view it objectively. Of course it would most likely embarrass you but at least you'd learn how "not" to be a christian, if you don't want to be an extremist. Heck, some people committed suicide for their cult so that their souls could take a ride on a spaceship that was hiding behind a comet, that if something in insane or embarrassing. Call me whatever you want but tolerance for such cults and their suicide policies is simply impossible on an intellectual level.
  20. Our fault was the dark ages, when science could get you hung for hericy :uhh: Think, how different would the world be in the year 2006 in the terms of development if, say, buddhism or islam was the main religion in Europe when great technological and astronomy/astrology related projects advanced in the dark ages?
  21. It is slang, but you might want to ask any person here on the forums speaking slovenian what the literal translation is. It can be used as every day speak but your friend would be lying if he said it's normal to say to somebody... (Unless you're very angry) 8-) Slovenian is 90-95% similar to Serbian/Croatian, which I can understand & write completely. For example, I admit it's slang but you will never want to say that face-to-face to somebody unless you're really, really pissed off at him and ready to fight him.
  22. Sent, I hope you weren't shocked to death. It is really an exaggerated bunch of words to post on pretty much any forum... :-$
  23. Lmao, I'm not an expert at slovenian particularly, but I know/can speak so much about slavic languages and russian that I'm glad a moderator at here probably wont understand what you just said. 8-) In case you're not sure yourself either what it means, it's very profane. I'll PM the literal translation on request. That's one of the best quotes on this forum.
  24. Now, here comes an interesting question. 8-) Can you actually use eMachines for gaming? I remember since like the dotcom days, they sold relatively good-speced computers with sick (very low) prices. But with $250... Does it have a graphic card? I'd had saved up a bit more to buy one that has a graphic card, but that's just me. As long as you can use it for everything else (or if it works just fine for gaming too), good stuff.
  25. When I checked out the game "Rollercoaster Tycoon", I saw a lot of these rides you mentioned (Goliath etc.) and I must really say "holy crap" if those rides are real, they are awesome (I did realize Six Flags is a real amusement park though and they probably sponsored that game). I'm not a coward but seriously I've never even been close to something as intense as that.
