Wearable red demon wings coming? (SCREENSHOT HERE)
BlueLancer replied to king_muumuu's topic in Art and Media
Link is safe, it's a normal .jpg image file. Not to be underly cautious, but there is no way to get an infection from any image file hosted on imageshack. The picture looks somehow fake though. -
Try not to spam the thread with 15 totally useless posts again It wasn't even funny at all.

The "whiny community" syndrome exists in every game which can be played for an indefinite time for free. This is even worse in F2P first-person-shooter games that offer subscriptions... The communities get so full of immature brats and cheaters everyone just quits the game. Kids will whine because "membership costs". They don't realize that in the real world $5 is in most countries just about toilet paper. It's practically nothing, like the first post said, you spend more than that on water every month Sure there are lots of 'griefers', scammers, and other trash in 100% P2P games too such as WoW, but in general the community is much more mature. And as you move up FPS games.. You'll see 100% commercial games like CS:Source will have very professional attitude communities compared to free games, because you have to PAY $19.95 to buy the game and play on authorized servers. :) This is one of the biggest reasons why I personally quit playing RS over 4 years ago. RS was quite cool from 2001-2003, but after that, they didn't want to make it a challenging game such as "Diablo" etc... They started catering way too much to the kiddy audience and those who want everything handed to them sliced on a silver plate. They totally neglected high level players who were actually devoted, for years. Only in about 2006 did Jagex start making some high-level-only updates... Whatever happened to the "random dungeon generator" Jagex promised in 2003? :? Would've certainly made the game more challenging and fun to play, be it alone or with clans. Nonetheless RS remains quite a good game for being totally free. You can also play it from any web browser with Java...

I don't agree at all that this topic was reported for abuse, for being "off topic". That section should only have topics which deal with out-of-RS issues. This kind of 'reunion' threads are rare, and since it will be probably hard for you to find people/brothers in a fraternity otherwise... You can continue the thread :) But this kind of posts are rare so I brought it up on the mod board to clarify if these are allowed later on. (Have fun posting)

Well I never quite understood why every Bob and Tom should have one of these "profiles" to tell information about themselves when we have messengers, cellphones, etc... And how do some people have like 100,000 people in their "friends" network? You probably haven't even talked to over 99,980 of them, nor do most of them even know/care of your existence anymore after 'accepting' the invitation! Just make your own website/homepage which you can customize 100%+you can tell about yourself AND be unique for *real*. But whatever floats your boat.. That makes a lot more sense. People on the internet don't generally like sense though, especially the 'common' variety, I don't wonder why they'd gravitate towards MySpace...

Troll? :| Troll. If he's real though, say hi to Fook in jail for me. :P Haha, Fook tried to rob a bank with a knife right? LOL Yeah, I've known Fook for ages... He did that in like 2004. Fortunately prisons in Denmark aren't quite what you'd even expect of a 'prison'.. They get libraries, internet access, TV's, many warm meals a day etc... It had something to do with drugs too, if my memory serves me right he was into some pretty hard drugs. Funding those takes money.. He's a totally different person now though, just shows people can and do change with time.

Using wireless isn't a good idea for online gaming anyways, *especially* if you play FPS games.. Be it on PC or Xbox 360. Your latency ("ping") will be sky high and you'll experience significant lag by using Wi-Fi/wlan for online gaming.

1. I don't quite understand why you'd pay PayPal some 4% in fees to transfer funds to someone else's bank account, you don't need the middle man... Just send a normal wire transfer. There is no way to avoid waiting 2 to 5 business days on average (for the transfer to appear on the other person's account) 2. I think you confused card types there. :) A credit card adds funds to your PayPal account, and you just credit the money to PP with your monthly Visa/Mastercard/etc bill... With a debit card, (probably what you mean by 'bank card') funds are instantly drawn from your bank account to your PP account. So with debit cards you can only add to your PP account an amount that's present in your bank account. Some people don't like PayPal for the above reason; Ability to add funds via credit cards. Theoretically you could just open a PP account with a stolen credit card, add $2000 with the intention of never paying the bill, purchasing goods with it, recieving them and disappearing... And the money would be chargebacked when the bill isn't paid, with the merchant left with neither the money OR the product he sent..

I always find it weird when the general population will make such allegations as well.. People will laugh at Colbert running for president once, laugh at it twice, then they get serious and start mocking those who would seriously vote for him. I'm not saying I'd vote for him.. I'm just saying: What's wrong with voting for Colbert as President? He could fare good in debates, he has intelligence... What experience does being a "politician" give you for running a country? To go to a war with an oil-rich middle eastern nation, it takes a bunch of military and political advisors+lobbying from profiting parties in the conflict, not the man himself saying "Yes" or "No". Just because Bush Jr. was the governor of Texas, doesn't mean he's qualified to run the country. His qualification comes from the number of votes, people believing he's fit to lead the country. Let's be realistic though... To be succesfully elected you currently need to be endorsed by one of the 2 major parties, and have a campaign treasury of $300,000,000+ Exactly... What qualification did Arnold Schwarzenegger have to become the governor of California state, over real politicians? Well... He screamed and shot people and robots with chain guns. People thought it's funny and give the BS-talking politicians the middle finger by voting for a guy with most likely no idea on how to run a state. If you get more states like California where people are sick of boring politicians that never keep their promises and can't act up when people really need help (example: New Orleans governor neglected plans to raise dams in the city due to 'financial costs'), it's just a matter of time before USA gets a president like Steven Colbert or Conan O'Brien. :) Heck... In europe, Lordi won the Eurovision song contest and that's watched by hundreds of millions of people, and tens of millions of people vote... It's a pop contest that was won by a heavy metal band. Dumb comparison, but to ignore the power of rebellion is foolish. It will happen when the time is ripe for it, and people are sick of the same old trash...

important news regarding my RuneScape character
BlueLancer replied to ixfd64's topic in General Discussion
I remember you from as long as I played RS and used tip.it forums (You may or may not remember me.. I'm dark killer0 and I played since February 2001)... You were also one of the first to use tip.it in 2001/2002 as well. :) It's very strange to know you are banned, and I have no doubts it wasn't triggered by you really scamming someone, you REALLY don't fit the profile of a scammer.. At all. You were even a player moderator. Jagex should seriously look more into your case. If you decide to drift away from RS though (and keep your friends, which I did), good luck with your university, life etc. :) There's a lot more to life than a java game... -
Soliciting others to harass innocent players isn't exactly a "game". -.- There's a lot of other things you can do/ask people for 'reactions' other than harassment.

Sorry but I agree with the person who reported this for spam. There isn't really anything to discuss because most people knew that already... -
Your topic doesn't really leave much room for constructive debate :-k Spam is, at this time, not allowed on tip.it..

You might also consider being a realist. :? You're only 18 years old who probably fought 'really' very few times. You don't have any realistic chance of getting away, or fighting 6 people with knives/guns who corner you while you walk in an alley alone, or go anywhere at all alone, which will happen sooner or later. I don't think you quite understand the fact in real life, people who have ratted their 'colleagues' especially if involved in organized crime, are in almost 100% of cases in a witness protection/police surveillance program for the rest of their lives and they change to a new identity and name, plus relocate to a different city. But if what you said is true that the president of that lab dropped charges for returning the items, you should be safe since then your friends got off the hook as well.

I just want to give you this advice from a more unfortunate friend of mine who was brutally beaten 4 years ago and is handicapped for life: If you want to have some sort of life after you get out of jail, NEVER snitch or testify against the people who were involved, especially if they are your friends. People have long memories for those kind of things, believe me, cops wont protect you from what they can, and will do in retaliation for you cutting a -3 month deal on your sentencing which ended up to +60 months on their sentences. Be honest about everything else, return the stolen goods, co-operate with cops, go to boot camp/communal service or whatever they might order you to after possible jail time. :) Remember even a 2-year sentence doesn't literally mean two years, with good behavior, politeness towards prison staff/parole board can cut your term even down to 9 months or less.

I don't even understand how that could humanly happen. "Hold on Bob, I think I got it.. Yeah I see the moose, there it is.. WHOOPS (turns rifle 180 degrees to right where his friend is standing) *click* *blows off face of friend* Sorry Bob you ok?" Seems like a premeditated 'accident'.. If his friend was the only witness he can't prove otherwise either.. Unless there's something more to it I don't know.

Waffle grid, pen, and a zippo.. Or is that a gold bar. Genius
-
People on tip.it just can't take a joke unless it has a BIG 'sarcasm' or 'don't take it too seriously' tag under it  Yes it does. 8-) And for the record to the guy on page 1... Spiders are animals...
-
I prefer Berettas and SIG weapons way over glocks/other popular ones... Sure I have some other "favourite" weapons but you can't really conceal those and walk in public

Benfr... You say those who hate these people are just as bad as the people they hate.. And that they thus hate every christian. What logic does that make? If a sect of a religion openly promotes hate and slander, they are a criminal group just like the KKK. They have no right to lay back on the premise of "freedom of speech". There's a reason why there are things you can't legally say. You can't make a protest, gather 50 people and chant "Kill all jews, god hates them". Because there's always those few that will believe even the stupidest and most ignorant mantra's and mottos. I can only imagine what the father of that marine feels like, when these asshats come to HIS SON'S FUNERAL with banderolls that read: "Thank God for the soldier's deaths" I'm surprised mob justice hasn't yet sweeped over these low life scumbags. That's not "freedom of speech". Those signs and their chants are a clear insult and invitation to a fight.

I don't see how that's weird or awkward. Probably half of all college/uni students I know of that age (21-22) live with their parents and they have normal lives. It'd be quite special if you did so at 35, but 22's pretty young. :? What's next, laughing at a 12 year old who's still a virgin :wall: Weird world...
-
..No offense but they can't run for a third term 8-)

 He must've heard quite of that in his childhood as well... But let's not focus on that Even Bush's own administration suggests Cheney is just becoming a political burden to Bush, not just that but the guy keeps making a joker of himself in public as well (such as going hunting and shooting his friend in the foot - how the heck do you accomplish that?) Also the interesting fact that Cheney is the ex. CEO of Halliburton, which got an uncontested contract to Iraq worth billions of dollars in supplies, food, etc... Normal citizens don't probably know even half of the man's abuses. He doesn't frankly deserve to be VP.
-
That's harsh, it'd have to be a REALLY good friend... But I think I could do it. Though.. The crime you commit to get jailed should cause minimal damage to any outsiders who don't understand your motives Think if you got incarcerated in a different prison facility than your friend for like 2 years But I think the judges do honor convicts' pleas to be incarcerated near their home/with a friend/brother etc.
-
I don't get it.. What is it with parents/grandparents/cousins/friends giving gifts that try to implicate an agenda on you? Like religious board games (try to convert person), giving pony toys/barbies to a 15 year old (try to treat the person like a baby)... Know the person you're giving a gift to, and buy him what he/she really would want. Going for the usual socks/chocolate.. Is quite unimaginative. I couldn't care less what gifts I get personally but I understand what message giving that kind of gifts implies: That you don't really care. I always bought a new video game/necklace/something they want etc. for my friends if they had a major celebration they hold in value such as birthday, wedding, religious ceremony etc... Or you could go for... 8-) Money. Not an usual gift from a friend, so maybe you'd rather give a gift card.. But at least they'll really appreciate your gift rather than "appreciating" it
