Disagree with you on your first point. People play it for the fishing outfit, the tacklebox, and the great XP. :). Agreed. Fish Flingers always gave more exp for the time spend there compared to the time I could have spent barbarian fishing when I used w89. The tackle box is of no real use to me than save bank space or tele fish from fishing challenges, but I think the exp is still good. Why would people still suggest doing it alongside barb/C2 fishing (unless secretly everyone who makes that suggestion assumes you are going for comp cape). In any event, Fish Flingers isn't a minigame (Official Wiki defines it as a D&D).

He'd probably still want ship upgrades or crew for the first three regions, since those actual benefit you more by giving more stats than level 4 crew of that region would and crew leveling is a bit slow in the first few regions.

Since you have 99 prayer I would highly suggest getting curse so that you may use Soul Split and Anguish, if you can do the quest. If not then you should do fine with a tort of the best healing food for you HP and the level 70 stats boost prayers on normal prayer book at Bandos (provided you did the quest and Knight Wave). I doubt it is Rocktails given your stats and I am not quite sure if it is Sharks either. But since you only need 1 kill for a challenge you should be fine with blood barrage. If you feel you need the extra LP or the DPS buy Ahrim's, but Subj robes should be fine. Wear at least a Bandos item at all times, until you get ready to fight General Graador himself (or take a dip in the Bandos Pool at Oo'glog for an hour of bandos protection). Unless your slayer level is higher enough, don't bother with the spiritual mages, ranger, or warrior. Focus on the goblins or other magic weak monsters there. While fighting Graador use AOE abilities and your thresholds as much as possible. To aid you you can take 1 OVL, 1 Prayer Renewal, 1 Adrenaline, 1 or 2 Prayer potions, 1 emergency 1 click teleport, runes, and the rest food (all either pots or flask). if you plan to do more of a trip than just finishing the challenge then your inventory may need to be adjusted.

A 28% success rate is terrible. He risk his crew dying without a lifeboat, which if I recall, they changed back to 1 use. Considering he will need a bit of bamboo later on for The Port upgrades (Port score which really doesn't matter except for title and totems) he might as well boost his crew level in the Arc Region.

If I can remember correctly (and someone could correct me if I am wrong) you'd want to upgrade your ship and crew in the following order for now. Rudder>Ship components>Crew>The Port. Later I believe this becomes Rudder>Actual Ship>Ship components>Crew>The Port. Around the Bowl region the Crew and Ship Component places are switched. So they best way of going about it would probably be to rest in the Arc region for a spell, or to send your best crew on a low requirement Gunpowder trip and then the rest for Bamboo. When you can, buy better crew for the Skull region (See here: http://www.tip.it/runescape/pages/view/pop_stats.htm) with at least 5 in sea/moral/combat.

I'm in a bad mood because I failed my trio #3 again. I sold my gear/drygores to buy 90 smithing at artisans workshop. Figured if I'm going to level smithing I might as well get a bling cannon out of the deal. I should by my records be able to afford 90 crafting as well doing dragonhide shields. If by then I haven't succeeded at my third trio I'm quitting runescape forever and going to play halo for the rest of my life. But...halo is shit. Plslrn2playgoodgame Halo 3 and Reach were shit, Halo 2 was fun because there were so so many fantastic bug abuses and their system for partying up and adding friends was waaaay more conducive to meeting people that you wanted to play with and teaming up with them. Halo 4 is fun because there's actually balance in the weapons so its not just one weapon that is the best in every situation. Much better than CoD where you pay 60 dollars every 6 months to play the exact same game again. Define a good game for me then. And also I'm no longer pissed.
