  1. Even when I think I'm not to noobiest of them all I am reminded that I am. Enjoy your break. Kinda mad you got most your Testu before me without the whaler but whatever. :)
  2. It's been mentioned in this thread a few times already but coming from a mid level player like myself, they do need to add something inbetween the last likely level you'll need and max level. at 96 herblore and to a lesser extent 95 prayer, I really don't need to level them any higher. There is no potion higher than a overload outside Dungeoneering, and with the current boost available I don't have to go any higher. Boost allow me to open all effigies and unless I am mistaken I can boost my way to 99 for the highest potion in Dungeoneering. Save for the few 108 herblore door I can't open and max cape, 96 herblore is good enough. Same for prayer. I could get 99 for more prayer points but I don't really need it for what I do in game. Dungeoneering and Ports are good incentive to level more, but their effectiveness only goes so far. Dungeonering weapons are limited to player who can't afford/wear t90 or have no substitutes. I still have to unlock bonecrusher and the likes but after that, I don't have to dung other than to repair my maul, reclaim lost items and max. At most, I've lost a gem bag twice, something that only requires a sinkhole. As for Ports, that has heavily encouraged me to go for 90 to 95 in the needed skills. But if I should buy Nex gear in the near future, Port armor has very limited use other than the very few high level monster better to tank and a high level Miscellania. I think putting something inbetween those levels and even higher level quest requirements or better quest rewards would very much encourage real competition, and not a "Who had the biggest D" contest. I'd be totally find with a quest requiring 90 in a skill or a a very useful after quest reward requiring 95 in a skill. However, I don't know if Jagex would ever do something like... I just hope the supposed Port expansion helps in that direction.
  3. [hide][/hide] All I can think about now this morning. :D
  4. I can speak on this being true. With Frost Dragon bots gone for the time being, a lot of players have came back to killing them. Each resource dung I imagine can only hold 2, maybe 3 players who know how to kill them/kill then quickly. Reducing the worlds would make these guys a super crowded hot spot, especially when these bots come back. Also, for some of these minigames in question they are really only confined to one world, because they only need 1 world. Even with special FC/CC for them it wouldn't matter if you reduced the world because either the rewards have been rendered useless, the minigame never had the traffic to warrant 1 world, or the minigame is effectively dead -- No one plays on the theme world or non-theme, in clans/chats or FFA.
  5. FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU----- Stupid game! I wanted to deleted the whine move! *resets Gameboy*
  6. That's exactly what I was replying to. Sure, there is a chance that there is nothing wrong with a low-level oriented, extra short quest. But recent updates have shown it is best to stay away from new content as far as possible (even avoiding to log in on the day of update). Well, to each his own. I haven't had any problems with much of any release content that I've done, so I'll still be claiming my cape back today.
  7. Oh well, people never learn. What about God statues D&D? What about Vorago? What about HTML5? People should have understood by now it is best to stay away from new content and let others lose their earned skill levels/items and time over various unforeseen issues. .... By as soon as I log in I meant when I get a chance to play, not because I'm having log in issues or what you are saying. I hope this is sarcasm on your part.
  8. Oh yeeeeeaaaah. A quest. Gonna do as soon as I can log in. I need to reclaim my cape and have some fun before I get back to the RS skill grind contest... Or I could just leave it so I'd have something to do when RS3 comes out. Quick question: There is a long of British humor in this game that flies over my head. So is there like a list of some sort that can explain the jokes I know I am going to miss?
  9. I somehow managed it without buying spins...I had a lot of luck on my side. Either way, I think it's hard to please the players with this. The goal is to buy spins. If they made it longer or increased the drop rate from skilling it would work against that purpose. Allowing drops was really just to pacify us. Nonetheless while I do wish the drop rate was better (I was lucky as I have no income atm) I do like that they made it a 1:1 ratio with some small chance of skilling. Not sure how it was for everyone else, but i have at least 2 dependable skills where I good bulk of what I used for 2 of my coronets coronets was from skilling. Farm gave me half the autumn coronets (with a lot more from spins) I needed for a crown and woodcutting gave me a good 100+ ish. I was actually short on leaves since I used them on trading for other materials, but this morning it came through for me and gave me the last few I needed. And as far as I can recall firemaking from 81 to 92 got me 100. But unless you bought spins it was all luckscape...
  10. [spoiler=Where they mean] Temple Trekking is the first location, Burgh de Rott Ramble is the second. But it is the same minigame. I highly recommend doing TT. It is a fun minigame. Vinesweeper is also an option but I tend to enjoy TT more. The tip.it guide on TT is still very relevant.
  11. UPDATE: I lost the xmas tree hat, couldn't get a starfury bow, and I doubt I'll get the White Stag bow. But after many of spins, skilling like crazy, and an adze later... [hide]The God of War 4 Season coronet power! [/hide] Sweet Victory!
  12. In New York! Concrete Jungle wet dream tomato!
  13. I look forward to Divination as a whole because of what has been mentioned before in this thread, better interlocking of skills. My whole view on skilling is different in most is that I love doing it, even the crappy skill I hate. I'd rather do them over boss hunting. But I won't lie and say it doesn't feel "Who has grinded the best" contest with skill cape. There are plenty of thing in runescape that made skilling more useful, and things that can be done already pointed out. That's why I like your suggestion as to what this new skill could be. As for me I just enjoying skilling to skill. I do want certain cape because I like to fashionscape but if I wanted a cape for the sake of a cape, I'd have 99 herblore already. Mining and smithing have always held a soft spot in my heart, and despite the difficulties I have with dungeoneering with randoms I've always enjoyed Dungeoneering. I just hate doing it alone or with random people. I enjoy it much more with friend or even people in the HYT FC. That said, the meaning of the capes are different. The Mining/Smithing capes are the first ones I am going for because they express the skills I love most. I want 99 or even 120 cape the express the joy I had getting there with these crazy people. I got a quest cape because I like quest and the lore about RS. Yet a Quest Point Cape and skill cape are viewed total different. You don't need a quest cape to unlock all RS has to offer yet, people, while they might not say it in game will awe at the amount of effort you put into getting it. A good chuck of my non HYT peeps on my FL are boss hunters, yet they tell me all the time how they wish they had a quest cape. To them, a quest cape is what what skill were once was, a show a dedication to a specific goal that unlocked plenty of use. I don't think they'll see my Mining or Smithing skill cape the same way, more or less because it has been reduced to a who has the biggest D measuring contest.
  14. Ditto. But there is a place to put your talents to use. Start a blog on blogscape or do a bit of writing in the Falador Tavern. Some of the topic are a little dated in the Tavern, but not so much that the forum is dead. And blogscape likes fresh meat people. Oh right, usual shameless advertising. Welcome and if ya want, visit us in the HYT FC (Serpent Eye). We are friendly if we don't scare you off first. :D
  15. Book of Char isn't worth doing if you can do jadinko firemaking. That method took all of three minutes. If you aren't activity firemaking training and can remember to do it, why not?
  16. What do you mean by first reflect? Watched your stream. I know what ya mean now.
  17. Can't answer your first question with confidence (I would assume yes it matters) but rune crossbow does not use royal bolts. A rune crossbow is terrible anyway if you have the level for better.
  18. So I know pretty much maxed players kill Vorago, but how would a mid high level player fair with Vorago? And how good/bad a public matches?
  19. UPDATE: Some of my recent winnings Still skilling to get the crown, but at the rate I'm going I don't think I'll make it in time. Curse my luck... In other fashionscape news, take a look at the guy in front of me (has staff of light)...
  20. The number of combinations seem infinite, or large. Any guess into how many new things Chris L has chucked into Vorago (in case you can somehow communicate with him to get a clue or whatever)?
  21. Won't all this change in the following week?
  22. Got some levels for you guys... I'll be thieving again soon but I am really trying for pieces for the Crown of Seasons. Hence the current levels earned. Until next time
