  1. I personally prefer Castle Wars to Soul Wars, but the rewards of Castle Wars can not compare to the rewards of Soul Wars. I have given up playing Soul Wars until it calms down, because I got really sick of just seeing the majority of my team standing around, and you can now pretty much guess which team is going to win each time. I love the rewards, and I much prefer playing that to endlessly killing monsters to get charms.
  2. QuickChat is like typing. The more you type, the faster you are at typing. The more you use QuickChat, the faster you are at using it. If you don't like it, and aren't forced to use it on a daily basis, (if you were you wouldn't be complaining) then just don't use. Whatever is in QuickChat you can type, so if you can type faster than you can move your mouse, do that. Problem solved.
  3. Personally, I much prefer Castle Wars as a mini-game, however, Castle Wars rewards can not compare to the rewards of Soul Wars, and I think that people will be more likely to play Soul Wars though Castle Wars will not be destroyed.
  4. I have decided to start training Range at Ice giants. I know there are better places to train for Range exp, but I need gold charms, so decided to kill two birds with one stone. I was wondering what equipment I should wear, and the weapon that I should use. My levels are as follows, Attack- 60 Strength- 61 Defence- 60 Hitpoints- 62 Prayer-50 Range-50 Thanks for any advice.
  5. I tend to like fictional history books. I love the Simon Scarrow series on the Roman invasion, and Manda Scotts Boudica books are amazing. The books are based on history, but made interesting with fictional characters and amazing plot lines. I do like fantasy though, and I tend to read whatever I can get my hands on. I have been reading books every night for as long as I can remember, and I don't plan on stopping anytime soon.
  6. Someone complaining about dying, well that is a new one. PKing has never been about honour, and anyone who did play by honour always came up short. Pking is about killing, and not dying yourself. I don't mean to be mean but instead of asking everyone else to change their strategies, why don't you change yours?? You are getting killed constantly with your strategy, and not getting any kills yourself. Instead of asking everyone else to change their strategy, maybe you should change yours instead.
  7. One of my earliest memories is getting lost in the woods behind Lumbridge, my friend PMed me asking where I was because she said she would come and get me, (I knew her in RL) and all I could say was there was a lot of trees. No home teleport back then, she ended up just guessing it was near Lumbridge. I can also remember me and a random girl I had met being helped out by this guy and he tried to show us how to make money by mining in Alkarid but once we got there we got attacked and ran away thinking he was trying to kill us, but he wasn't, he was just being friendly. Us three played together for a while, but I am the last one standing.
  8. If you enjoy training at Green Dragons, then train there, if you find it fun, then it will seem like you are getting the levels very quickly. I personally enjoyed slayer because I was killing a variety of monsters and it didn't seem as repetitive, though each to their own. Maybe you should try different methods, like all of the ones that have already been suggested and see what suits you best.

    Nerves

I am assuming that you are probably friends with the majority of the people in your class? It helps if you don't think of it is a performance, just think of it as showing your friends what you can do. I did it for my Drama exams last year and it really helped me because I had performed in front of them countless times before when it didn't matter, so I just thought of it as another practice and I pulled it off, or so my grade said.
  10. I haven't done that much travelling, and would love to see more of the world than just the basics. I think it would be amazing to just pick up and leave, but I don't think would be possible for at least a few more years yet. I once had a friend who had travelled the world since she was born, been to probably every country you can think of, and lived in a quite a few of them too. She was always going off somewhere, doing something new and different, and she always said it was amazing, but she said she loved her home all the more because of it. I would love to do what she did, but I don't think I could disappear for a year, I think a few months would be good enough for me, a few months, home for a few months and then back travelling.
  11. The reason that a child's death is more reported than say an adults death, is because children, especially the age of going to a day centre, are innocent, and have no means to protect themselves, and probably wouldn't of understood that the man who just walked through the door carrying a knife wanted to kill them all. Killing an innocent defenceless child is seen as one of the worst crimes, pretty much any crime that involves children are usually seen as sickening and disgusting, compared to the crime committed on an adult. This was a sick act, and I feel so sorry for the parents of these children, who if old enough to understand what was going on, could be scarred for the rest of their lives.
  12. I have an xbox 360, and I have gotten bored of my games recently and looking for something new. My favourite games are Oblivion and Fable 1+2, as I love open ended games like that. I also enjoyed Assassins Creed for a time. I tend to like games set in that period. So anyone want to suggest any games I could try?
  13. If you a fan of SC and play it often I would go with the clay hatchet, for the simple fact is, it can give you a break in between training if you are going to be training for a long time, while still working towards your goal. My friend went for 99 woodcutting, would go to SC and get enough points for 5 hatchets, use them, and then go back and get more points. He only got 5 because he had a quite short attention span when wcing, so going to SC gave him the break he needed to relax while still working towards his goal.
  14. Plateskirts cost less that Platelegs simply because less people wear Plateskirts. There are more boys then girls, and the majority of boy would rather wear the platelegs than the plateskirt. Jagex has nothing to do with that price, the fact that more boys than girls play Runescape has made that price, nothing sexist at all. Also, some girls prefer playing on male accounts and even those who play on female accounts prefer to wear platelegs, so they don't get boys wolf whistling at their pixel legs. (experienced it, very very funny).
  15. My account is worth nothing to me, if it disappeared today, I would just shrug my shoulders. If someone offered me money to legally buy it, I would just see what the highest they would pay for it was, and probably take it and move on. Money for game items, seems good enough to me, whether it is a lot of money or not.
  16. not really, I don't play Runescape that much anyway, I have a ton or more important stuff to do. I only ever play when I am bored and have nothing to do, and then when I get bored of Runescape, I log off and do whatever else. No point in playing a game if you don't enjoy it, sorts of defeats the point of a recreational game.
  17. 16, 17 this year. I don't think I have changed that much in the last year or so, and I doubt turning 17 will change me either, except I will total a few cars learning how to drive them. One experience I can't wait to do, but dreading it at the same time.

    Twilight.

Before the movie came out, and my friend decided we should go to see it, I had actually never heard of the books. I quite liked the movie, but I did spend the entire movie with my friend saying how good lucking Edward Cullen (Rob Pattinson) was, which we found true before Twilight ever came out anyway. I enjoyed the movie, namely because I quite like fantasy fiction. I read the books online afterwards and enjoyed them. I went and bought all four of the books and I read Twilight, and enjoyed it, I didn't love it, but I enjoyed it. I then moved onto new moon, but I soon got bored. After reading them once, I thought I might enjoy them, but to me, they aren't books I can read again and again. Twilight was interesting, but New Moon especially bored me. I think for a series, they are alright, I will probably go see New Moon when it comes out in the cinema, because I did enjoy the first one, though unlike some people I know/heard of, I will not be going to see the film five times, once will be good enough. By the way, when I say I enjoyed the film, that means, I liked it, It was alright, not the best, but hey there are worst films out there. I think, like the Harry Potter books, you get people who love them, and you get people who hate them.
  19. To be fair, in the year that I have been playing on my current character, I have yet to die. I don't go to PVP worlds because they just don't appeal to me, and I don't play in BH either, so the only fear I have of dying is from monsters. I tend to research everything before I do it anyway so I know what to expect. I do not like dying though, losing stuff does not appeal to me, though I think it doesn't appeal to anyone. I wouldn't be sad though, I might be a little pissed off if I had my best armour on, but it would pass after a few minutes.
  20. I think Runescape, if Jagex keep to their word about improving instead of adding, will greatly benefit from it. I personally think that as a whole, given only a few new updates to the game, and updating what we already have instead will benefit the community to no end. The first update and already, the censor has improved, which people have been asking for, for quite some time. Also, the timer always annoyed me, and many others, and five minutes is more than enough time to AFK without being logged out constantly every time you got absorbed into something else.
  21. Send in an appeal to Jagex, and quote them on their own use of the word. Have they given you the evidence of why you were muted, because you should check why you were actually muted, it may be for a completely different thing. If it was for the use of the word niggles, send them a message and hope they get back to you.
  22. I personally found that when I went to catch Spotted Kebbits at level 45, catching the Kebbits was getting me less exp than I had been getting at Green Lizards. I stayed at Green Lizards until 47 and then caught Orange salamanders until 50 and I only stopped because my goal was 50 hunting. I personally believe that it is a faster method than catching Spotted Kebbits. You need to catch less, and with three traps up at once, you do get more exp.
  23. I used Air runes plus my FoG gloves to get to level 50 crafting. I went to an air crafting world, and even though I could of done it faster had I did earths, the time passed more quickly because I talked to people, raced them, generally had fun. It just wasn't boring.
  24. I was quite suprised that my password didn't need changed because even though it is letters and numbers, it is relatively short compared to some. Ah well, it musn't be that easy to guess, and to be honest, I don't think anyone could guess it unless I had a key logger on my computer.
  25. I personally think that if Sailing ever comes out it won't be a skill but a reward from a Quest that you unlock the ability to own a boat and sail to any port from any port. To be fair, there is no point arguing, if it comes out, those who said it would can brag, if not, then those who said it wouldn't have the right to insult you. Simple.
