Think about this. If the new monster takes a team it will be really hard to find a LS/CS team. As soon as somebody gets a good drop the whole team will rush the person who got the drop. So most teams will likely just FFA the monster, but that is annoying because you must risk higher priced gear to hit harder for the drop. And don't even dare take claws or a chaotic because knowing Jagex the alch price of the new item will be much higher, thus making you lose your claws or rapier.

Tbh I smell a distraction and diversion on this update. Jagex can't please us by making 2 new bosses in such a short time. There has to be a catch. Always is with Jagex.

That's one big ass worm! But why the wilderness? Leave boss hunting out of the wildy please. Edit: And that guy is using magic. Jagex when you take pictures please make them realistic. We all know you won't allow magic anywhere outside of player killing.

The only fast skill updated is cooking. While smithing and prayer could be considered fast, they are very costly. I don't understand what you are getting at. Mining, woodcut and fishing are all 3 boring and slow skills, so an added xp boost is always a pleasure.

Are we remembering the same GWD? When GWD came out, Saradomin GWD in particular was brutal. Kill count easily took 20-30 minutes. If you were lucky, the trip would last almost that long, because we didn't have Terrorbirds to replenish our energy, or rest options. No one even really had Godswords yet. Also, why does everyone say Nex has a lower drop rate? I've been seeing abundant Nex drops since day 1. Unlike Corporeal Beast - we didn't even really confirm that sigils came from it for a week or two. Within the first three days of Nex: 1) Brio_X here on TIF got a Torva Plate, which he traded for a Torva Helm 2) One of my friends was at a mass, and missed a Virtus Mask 3) Another of my friends was with a small LS team, and missed a Virtus Skirt/Legs 4) A picture of Pernix Top being LSed was posted on Zybez 5) I personally teamed with someone with a Zaryte Bow. He got it by trading a Pernix top that he got in a previous trip. Not the same person as the one on Zybez. 6) Someone put up a video of testing a Zaryte Bow. It was not the same as the person I was with. 7) Some merchant was running around wearing full Torva, that he had to buy from somewhere. Nex drops really aren't as rare as people make them out to be, especially when there's 10 distinct drops. Yes, there are a couple of the items out in the game, but most of your sightings are by people who are killing Nex. I have yet to see a single piece of the new armor in game yet. Not at the GE, not at TD's, not anywhere. If the armor wasn't rare it wouldn't cost 1b+ to obtain. And if the drop rate stays the same it will most likely cost as much as spirit shields do. So much for revolutionizing PvP combat.

Whoever gets the luckiest. But statistically it should be him. His stats are higher.

Nice paperbag. Take a month off the game and keep your xp at 2b. That's pretty impressive, so why not reward yourself with some irl fun :)

Even though the OP's arguments are sound, Golvellius's post is right on the target. I'll disagree. The boss is difficult. This is a good thing, even if it does take a long while to kill. However there is no need to make the boss cost so much to kill, and there is absolutely no need to make its drop rate so low. We all asked for a new hard boss that is not solo'able. We asked for new high leveled gear. But we did not ask for the gear to be impossible to acquire. I say they messed up Corp by making it's drop rate so low on the sigils, and they've messed up Nex in the same way. If I was in charge I would make it a 1-10 drop rate, take away the kill count, and give the banker a shop that sells discounted sara brews/rests. Keep Nex as difficult as she is, just give us some supplies so it doesn't cost us an arm and a leg to kill her.

I remember when Jagex removed the mugger from Varrock. I always thought that was just to make botting Rune Essence easier.

This is why you don't get within melee distance to the 360s. And this is why you don't forget to lure a healer and waste 100 bolts because you can't see Jad's HP. I've been playing for years and have yet to kill Jad.

We need another big money sink. There is just too much GP floating around this game.

I'd rather 1 quest as short and fun as Nomad's Requiem than 10 quests like that new dwarf quest where all I did was talk the whole time.

To me the graph shows... The day starts out with a rising number of people online until it climaxes and then slowly drops. Once the server is updated everybody is logged out. A good portion of the players choose not to log back in because they have either just woken up, eating lunch, going to sleep, etc. They don't feel like logging back in because they were just logged out. So they go on with their lives because the majority of players do not live, eat and breathe runescape. And the the graph starts to rise back up to where it was. Sure there may be a few bots. I doubt 30k. Perhaps there are 20k bots online at once at the peak of times, but you are saying at that specific time 50% of the players are bots.

Doubt it, but I saw that guy lose a lot in that video posted on the other page. He probably is just rich and stakes a lot.

It's just the way the game used to be. Skillers were never the rich players.
