  1. Bridge. If you cant do that RTFM or use a crossover ethernet cable from computer to gaming system and profit.
  2. update time. So i'm going to be using Xfce, with fluxbox window decorator. Full gtk and KDE3/4 libs, but no desktop package. Working on a GDM login that looks like runescape login. I'ts going to be either U 9.04 or U 9.10, vanilla. Going to be using either the abrowser or shire for web, with built in runescape client. The client will be the tough part. Expect weekly updates/screenshots here. Keep those suggestions coming!
  3. And should I add wine? I don't see any reason why I should, but lets face it, some people use winblows, and like their photoshop and whatnot. Also, anyone know a good screen recorder? istanbul used to be good. I'd use gtk-record Mydesktop, but it's kinda slow. Any ideas? EDIT-- Compiz has a nice screenshot capability, where you hold super down and select a region of the screen to capture, any way to replicate that?
  4. I found a nice theme for fluxbox, but i'm seriously considering blackbox. I also will put compiz as an option for people who want a full install. The reason i'm basing it off linux mint is because of added drivers and such. And i'm rebranding firefox so that will be the bit of work. If I could get a stable, long term firefox release that would be GREAT. But mozilla likes to put out brandings EVERY DAY. Sorry, just a little frustrating. But yeah, i was going to use emerald as window decorator, but it's not exactly low-impact. Not going to be on the live usb version, maybe on the full install?
  5. I wish I was homosexual, would make things easier. I live in California and am trying to get a job at Starbucks. Sadly, I'm a raging heterosexual and I couldn't change if I wanted to. But it's my belief that everyone is entitled to their own beliefs. Homosexuality is A-OK but hating someone because of their sexual orientation is vain, because you could be doing good things for the world instead of hating everyone in it. It's selfish.
  6. I know I said it is Ubuntu Mint, but I think it's time to tell people what I've been working on. It's a little something called RUbuntuScape, and it will be coming to a mirror near you soon. It boots off a live usb, with no install needed. You will need 2 gb for the ISO + formatting, which will be 1.3 gb of the system files, and .07 for swap. When I get it fully functional, I will post links to local mirrors in a thread on this very board. Stay tuned. Also, with the first release I will need translators so if you are multilingual I would appreciate your help  My browser picture is a first look at just how AWESOME this RuneOS will be. I'm pushing for a November release, so if you want Extra Features added let me know via pm. I'd really like Tip.It staff support so if someone could consider this, I would be very grateful. DISCUSS
  7. Sorry for double post, but if you do the quest now you can ignore the exp. if you did the quest befor the fix you are boned. you were right i just checked but include this
  8. I'm pretty sure you have to talk to daero to get def exp before you go back to ape atoll. Yeah. Just checked. So mith gloves, addy would be impossible for a 1 defence pure, unless you know something I dont...
  9. Ah, I see your dilemma. You and the company you work for appear to use windows. You will find the solution for your problem here and here Hope that solves your problem. ;)
  10. Use Exaile, it's fastest I've seen but only comes on Linux... If you like shelling out a bankload for a license to run Vista try buying an iPod. It's right around your price range anyways. I hear even the small ones play video now. Cool I guess, just tape it to your monitor and you can watch video for about 5-10 minutes while playing RuneScape. It would be longer but you will have to charge it and wait 10 minutes for that annoying splash screen to pop up before doing nothing because it's always in the #1 spot of the queue to your CPU. After a brief, 5-hour charge time you can watch another You-Tube video before repeating the process. Or you could get Linux for free, your choice.
  11. My clan [DTH] got called to the MLG semi-qualifiiers (regional) They gave it to me just for playing through the playlist :twss: The best way to get recon is to make a good map in forge, make a youtube video of it linking back to your fileshare, and if the map makes bungies picks for the week you are in. also the vidmaster achievements are a sure win, but even I am having a problem with many of them :x
  12. Got members, and 61 woodcutting, next stop amazingness :twss: but i'm in serious need of dough =\
  13. 10/10 for the account, bonus points for the clockwork orange signature ;)
  14. Posting in by far the most amazing rate me ever. Epic achievements, and ones that won't ever be matched for sure. Congratulations on such a successful RuneScape career. 10/10 doesn't come close to rating this fairly. :D

  16. Had this computer on since 9.04 (jaunty) came out... so nearly 4 months idk. My openBSD been on since at least 100 years ago. My computer's power normally costs me about $80 USD a year. I'll live  also, because I mirror most of my downloads, downloading even the largest files takes just a few minutes. So as I am aware that some people leave their Personal Computers on overnight for downloads, I never had a good reason. I flush my Linux-swap every few hours, and my kilowatt-hour output on my bill every month isn't enough to justify hard-booting every morning. TLDR; LINUX DOESN'T NEED REBOOTS BECAUSE IT IS SUPERIOR TO WINDOORS. cool story bro
  17. Bye drag, it's been real  I hope you still log in from time to time, just to say hi. :D
  18. Thanks for the advice, and i'm actually not new, I post a lot in BlogScape and that doesn't raise post count -.- . But yeah, I'll edit it :D .
  19. Perplexing, But I support the theory that Runescape is all 1 level, instead of "floors". What this doesn't explain is the fact that if something is dropped on the floor below you in places like Varrock East Bank it shows on the "image" of the lower floor. This is where the "Uninhabited Varrock plane" next to the Clan Wars FFA comes into play. I think that, where applicable, items dropped in certain areas also get "duplicated" and placed on the corresponding area accordingly. A great example is Castle Wars where, if you go up the steps, you can see the arrows and other drops on the ground below you, but no people. (This only works on the main structures and not the wall obviously, but you see my meaning) By this logic, we can also conclude that PCs, NPCs, interactable scenery, and resources share a "plane", whereas items have a different "plane" entirely. This is how two people may fight the same NPC or gather the same resource simultaneously, but cannot pick up the same item. Also, for a long time the cutscenes in Monkey Madness were glitched to where you could walk around these "Ethereal Planes" (as I will refer to them in future posts) and actually interact with some of the surroundings, including the subjects of the cutscene, which would always give the reply "null". - This is actually smarter on JaGEx's part mainly because it is too cumbersome to have too many things going on in one spot, so they spread it out and make the game as a whole more efficient and less laggy. This is why you see many low-traffic areas tight together. I will have to do more research, but I will be sure to post any more findings or areas where this phenomenon takes place.
  20. Probably the gnome toy ship. you could only get one if you transferred it over from RSC, and it's only possible to get now in fremmy trials and ghosts ahoy (can't bank it in either of those). I have one on an older account, and I only know 1 other person with one. It's a useless item, but rare nonetheless :D .
