  1. Thanks! To be honest, I'll probably have Rapier by the time I can afford 83/84 Herblore anyway. Also, that was pretty much the perfect answer, lol.
  2. After I get the appropriate levels (83 Herblore, 88 Summoning) I plan to farm Mithril Dragons for lvl4clues since it's likely Fury Kits will never ever crash. I had always heard that metal dragons were weak to stab AND crush, but are they really weak enough to crush to be easily kill-able by the Chaotic Maul?
  3. HRAGH! Corporeal Primal Warrior! I was surprised no one else had posted this...
  4. Pretty much = OP here. For me it goes quests -> Dungeoneering -> Minigames -> anything else. For the awesome 3/4 of my Dungeoneering experience before Occult floors were released, I ALWAYS played with at least 2 or 3 friends on my team and we screwed around just plain having fun finding funny things to do with items and little tricks and glitches and such. After that it got a bit dull, with some things getting repetitive. I can only really have fun in a large or really easy C1s on the lower floors now. But then Occult came around, and it's kind of a new experience again, so I'll be happy for a while more. Plus, the incentive of being able to get more lvl 80 gear MUCH faster is a powerful force.
  5. I'd just like to be honest and say I probably wouldn't have bothered if I had to spend 40 hours getting the ability to get a Cmaul and then had to turn around and pay 50m for it. On the other hand if 30-50m were simply the replacement price, but you still got the first one exclusively for your 200k tokens, I'd be fine with that. _______ I'd like to add to the whole "Circular argument" I seem to see above - Just because this is LIKE other situations doesn't mean the STAKES are the SAME. Having to spend tens of hours replacing an item (which CANNOT be gained through luck) isn't about the difficulty of the game or risk vs reward or anything of the sort. It's about masochistic torment. (Just FYI I enjoyed the first half of my DG journey. After that it wasn't much fun. There will always be people who genuinely enjoy things, of course.) Oh also, losing an item meant for combat in combat is different than losing an item (IE discontinued or cosmetic) in combat that wasn't meant to be there in the first place. There's probably more to add to this but it is seriously late(early) here so maybe tomorrow(later today)... It really just comes down to you being a jaded jackass if you want someone to pay so much for some small mistake, and you justify this by saying "That's the way things are!"
  6. Nah, it's about how you WANT it to end. So shush about your negativity and fantasize a bit
  7. I just want them to tie up all existing storylines, deadends, looseends another RFD quest and a huge 10-20hr (without any sort of repetitivity!) grandermaster quest at the end. They can also raise the level caps to make all those people that enjoy repetitive grinding happy. ... Yeah, I honestly just play this game for quests now...
  8. I... Didn't vote. Got all the way through the different categories and then at the bottom they wanted a bunch of info. I might go back to it if I ever get to fight Yk’Lagor the Thunderous... Also, I wasn't aware that Rockstar was britannese...
  9. This is because the final two components of those sets come from elite clues. If you look, the old sets are the same way, just moved down a clue level.
  10. I very much agree with this. Also, the people here sitting up on their self riotous thrones chastising others because they lack the innate ability to accept being danced upon by incompetence piss me off FAR MORE than anyone complaining about the delays. It wasn't always like this... Players aren't used to this. I can still remember a time when updates came out on Mondays, every week of the month. There would be some weeks delayed (slightly!) or skipped, but it was fully tolerable because of their impressive record. There will always be people who complain about the update content once it's actually released! This is unavoidable because one can never please everyone. However, by also hyping and delaying an update FOR WHATEVER REASON, they're adding another large glob of complaint that wasn't there before.
  11. What, even the elite ones? :-| Oh, Godbows and D'Hide status?
  12. Looks like all of the ones from cache spoilers... I am soooo glad that they aren't just copying the lower themes and changing the colors a bit!
  13. Just to nitpick, I think you mean the price is irrelevant. Although you certainly can take into account the cost of losing the ability to merch with the ~20-25m you'd have tied up in the BCP, if you're the type of player who does that. Not in this thread though, as the price, (thanks for correcting) isn't a factor here. Cost and value of time were mentioned numerous times in the original post. Wrong, the price of the gear was NOT mentioned. Oh... I read the first post thinking the TL; DR would be "Don't break your bank to buy Bandos!"...
  14. you get 120k at rock lobs bursting so I'd expect around 200k at mummies barraging. Conservatively I can assume 1m XP out of them, then... I suppose that once they're fully discharged I'll sell them and my Staff of Light and buy Plank Make. Thanks to everyone who posted for being so helpful!
  15. Seeing as how time has become an issue, I want to get 98.9 Magic quickly. I've had these Battle Robes sitting in my bank for over a year now, fully charged and everything, but I've never used them. How long does a full set last? I would like to Ice Barrage Mummies in the Chaos Tunnels for simplicity and the chance of a CC. I also need to know how much xp and how many casts per hour.
  16. That's terrific actually. I bought mine for keeps, but it was still discouraging to watch it fall like 40m from the peak. (Then again, I think I bought it at less than 20m, so... )
  17. How are the new D'Hide and rune armors doing? I managed to buy Bandos Vambraces (quite a while after the GE update), which made me figure that only the body/chaps are doing well out of the D'Hide sets.
  18. If you had 80 Dungeoneering you could use the VIP room, which is often deserted. There is also the abandoned castle in northern Wilderness which is far quicker but a little more dangerous to get to. However, your post brings up an important point I feel may be relevant to this thread: Many players won't hop at all! Even if they're close in combat levels, and there's more players than the spot can really support ("support" - enough open spawns to where no one has to wait) they still won't bother changing worlds. Is that not just being stubborn? I am actually killing metal dragons as Tommy is, and I've noticed this fairly often in the past, but in the VIP or snow locations it's ridiculous. There were 3 people to the steels above the castle and possibly the same number to the irons below. I hopped a single world and it was absolutely deserted. The world population was similar, as was the location (PING). (Just FYI I'm 98s but I'm maging - I can't kill twice as fast as someone with GS, hence I can't monopolize 2 spawns when there are 7 spawns and 4 players.) For Slayer tasks and popular-but-plentiful monsters, I think people just crash because they're lazy. It is my opinion that crashing should be avoided when it is unnecessary. - Erm, is it still considered crashing if it's in a non-multi area? If not, then my post holds true, but inapplicable to this topic...
  19. I was 2M from buying a purple and then they skyrocketed to what they are now. Maybe one day there will be some sort of phat crash I had an offer for a red ready and was going to hit offer (when they were still junk) but I thought "I'll wait a day or two to save myself a mill or 2". BAM! Next update they were bought out and I haven't been able to get one since. /sob-storry OT: Which of the new items are for F2Pers (if any)? I am a fasion > function kinda guy and I'd love to get into something other then my GOP robes. And if any are F2P, what sort of prices am I going to have to pay? I've got cash burning a hole in my bank (actually 1M gold ore that's depreciating like no ones business) so I'm willing to put forward a decent amount for some cool armour. All of that Heraldic stuff, but I believe the elite rune armors are P2P, sadly. Then again, that makes sense since you have absolutely no exposure to those three gods in F2P...
  20. 19:41 from RuneScript - *** [ GE UPDATE ]: We last detected a GE update approximately 7 hours 40 minutes 8 seconds ago. Geupdate.com > RScript. Also, I would recommend not subscribing to that website, instead download a website update tracker for free. helps alot more. Actually, it was fairtraders.net  And I just got an in game message for my personal GE updating. I had Black Unicorn Mask up to sell and Bandos D'Hide/Fury Kit/Dragon Staff to buy (not at the update mind you) so it'll be good whatever it is. It now says... Last Update: 8 hours 10 minutes ago. Previous Update Length: 21 hours 13 minutes. Probably just a temporary glitch...
  21. I don't get this. Last Update: 7 hours 27 minutes ago. Previous Update Length: 0 hours 0 minutes. Alert: The GE has updated in the past hour!
  22. Great to wait a week, trounce him in under a minute, and not get a clue. For a second time. After killing Bork every time possible after the update... (That is his arm flying off after one hit by the way :))
  23. Heh, that's still not that bad. I kinda really hate it. It looks more like a donkey... How about any of the three new blessed d'hide bodies/chaps?
  24. It seems that I'm right except that Frost is even more expensive than Mith. Does Black Uni have any street value whatsoever? It seems like a lot of threads on RSOF straight out say they won't accept them.
  25. He puts himself back together! Haven't you fought him before? In a real game sense though I wouldn't bother unless you don't have to polish the bones and the clue drop rate was 100% from the Horror once you collected them all. Really it should be 100% right now, since you can only kill it once a week...
