Talking about Mechscape, I've got 2 comments: 1. Jagex seems to be a company that is expanding. The Mechscape and Runescape crew would be(least for the most part) separate. Did FunOrb destroy the Runescape fanbase? No, because they have different audiences. Which leads to... 2. Have you, Arrow, looked at the more popular MMO's through the years? Everquest, Ultima Online, WoW, Maplestory, (yes) Runescape, and now Conan. Notice something missing....Sci-fi. Yes, there are (and have been) ones out there, like Eve or StarWars Galaxies, but they just don't seem to garner the fanbase of fantasy MMO's. To put it in simpler terms...As long as Runescape continues to be a cash cow it ain't goin nowhere. -p.s. Call us fanboys all you want, but at least we aren't trolling the fansite of (and apparently paying membership for)a game that you constantly extol hasn't been fun for 8 months

I just bought one (I know...kinda off on the gaming generations) and bought seven games for it... Kingdom Hearts Yakuza Marvel Ultimate Alliance MGS3 Onimusha Bully SOCOM 1 Anybody know of any great games other than GTA and God of War for the PS2? Super range I agree totally with. Super mage could be made to give "invisible" bonus; i.e. higher lvl, but no better spells. It'd also be nice if slayer headgear gave bonus to mage/range too...........

I do slayer, good mix of monsters and most have decent drops.

You also need a shovel. Just dig pretty much in the middle of the house.

While I do agree that Jagex's customer service leaves somewhat to be desired, all it takes is one look at the RSOF rants section to understand why they put their CS dept. behind so many walls. Considering the age(and maturity) level of many players, how would you like to field calls from a bunch of 12 yr olds mad about the newest update..............every day :wall:

Considering that now the general public isn't allowed at E3, meaning only insiders and press will be there, I think RS's reception will be pretty positive. At least within the PC gaming segment RS (with the new graphics) should get some respect.

I'm pretty much a full time dragon slayer, and I can attest to this. Black dragons will only drop clue scrolls with addy darts, and steels only with rune darts.

Jagex says that they are working on the autoer problems, they're just not publicizing the fact much. Check the rant section of the RSOF theres a sticky about autoers/macroers. I'm sure they're doing what they can, but just like any sector of the internet: you come up with a new defense, and the bad guys come up with a new way around it. Build a better mousetrap and someone comes up with a better mouse..........

Thanks genius. Had you any wit, you would know that we already stated what KIND of 'rape' it is. We simply said that the word rape in a case like this, or even with statutory in front of it, has no bearing on what rape really is. Rape is a horrible thing that can ruin somebody's life forever, statutory 'rape' is something that both people are happy for and enjoying. Hardly see the similarities in the two. It's the law, yes. Change the name, make it fit. How about the "It was worth it" law? First of all, theres no need to be nasty. I was just clearing up the whole "how can a woman rape a guy?" thing. Secondly, lets see how happy this kid is in his mid 20's when he's seeing a therapist about relationship / commitment issues. May happen, may not( but probably will). Thirdly, a law is a law. Break it and pay. It may be a stupid law, but there are plenty of those. Don't like it.....get it changed.

All of you who question weather this is rape...YES IT IS. It's STATUTORY RAPE Statutory rape (n) Statutory rape is the sexual intercourse with a minor, whether or not he/she has consented to such an action, who was neither a child nor reached the age of consent. The age of consent and age limit of a child varies from state to state. You may not agree with the law, but it is the law. An adult cannot legally have consensual sex with someone underaged...peroid.

She got charged on three counts... :shame: Its ridiculous, and I don't care to much about research on impulse control. The sex they shared was obviously not an impulse if she flew in to see him, him sending her naked pictures before hand was not an impulse. Your argument may have seemed great in your head, though it has no real place in this conversation. Actually I was talking about the 13yr old, not trying to defend the female. I really do think this was a sick situation made even sicker by the fact that the mother knew about it. And, I can honestly say that at 13, I wouldn't have thought twice about having some "sexy time" with a half decent looking(remember the pic is a mugshot, they make everyone look like Gary Buesy) 22yr woman.

To those who are complaining about the age of consent laws: There has been research (I can find and post if necessary) done that shows that the impulse control portion of the brain isn't fully developed until a person is in their early to mid 20's. And at 13 I seriously doubt that this kid was emotionally ready to handle a sexual relationship. Also I hate the double standard of cases like this. She will probably get off with a slap on the wrist. If it was a 13 yr old girl, the 22 yr old guy would get crucified and this story would be on every national cable and air news show

Heres a simple idea that I'm sure would be unpopular: make higher lvl trees/ores/fish harvestable only by higher lvl equiptment that would have to be weilded ; i.e. yews could only be cut by a rune axe and you'd have to be lvl 40 to use it. Skillers may hate it, but it would get rid of a lot of autoers.
