Stealing resource spots
When I was training mining to 85, I used the V iron rock formation to the east of Yanille. I would constantly see people in every world, and it got to the point where I had to steal someone's spot. Did I feel bad? Sort of. I would try and beat out people with higher mining levels (since mining iron is pretty much instant with 70 mining+ and a rune pickaxe) so that those with lower levels could train. That's one benefit of resources like concentrated gold though. Besides killing the economy, it does allow people to not have to compete for resources.

French
I concur with the suggestion of Jean De Florette & Manon Des Sources. Some of the best films I've ever watched. If you can stand violence (this movie also has quite a disturbing rape scene), you could watch Irréversible. It's an intense film with a great story, but seriously, the scene I mentioned is hard to stomach.

French
You could watch English movies with French subtitles. That would help to a degree. Or, watch French films with French subtitles, that would also help.

Hot celebrities/models!! :) Post them here!!
IMO the best looking VS Angel is Candice Swanepoel. Everyone thinks Adriana Lima is the best, and to be honest, I struggle to understand why ha. But, let's face it, Miranda Kerr is the best VS Angel.

Why does society dislike men having long hair?
I pretty much concur with Tripsis. However, there is another category for me - Long, incredibly dry hair. Not frizzy, but so dry it looks like a person is wearing a desert in their hair. To be honest, I just have a general dislike of people not taking *any* care with their appearances.

Cold Showers
I have occasionally had the cold shower 'shock' whilst the warm water takes its time to flow. Usually the cold lasts for about for 30 seconds, which I think is long enough, personally. As soon as it touches you, you will instantly feel more awake - on days I have slept in a bit too far, I will put it on cold for up to one minute, and I will move like hell when I'm out of the shower.

Things that annoy the HELL out of you.
Surely that ought to be 'I couldn't care less'. Indeed, that's why it annoys me. If a person says that, I automatically think 'Well, why don't you care less about it then? Could you start caring less?'

Problems with the English language
Homophones. Such as, 'u' for 'you', 'y' for 'why' etc. Just because I like being a pedant. 'I love u'?! What, is it your favourite vowel or something?

Problems with the English language
Until people stop clinging onto the past - something which happened to their ancestors and not themselves, then it will matter. It doesn't matter to me - I, like most people, don't go around shouting sexist and racist terminology at everyone I see. I agree that it shouldn't matter today, but the fact is that people cling onto the past like an excuse.

Real life help & advice
The easiest way to deal with it is to invite her to your next one. If she decides it isn't for her, then she wont come anymore (keep inviting her, likely she'll just say she doesn't want to come or give you an excuse). If she does go and starts getting to know people there, that's great, because she'll be appreciative of you giving her the chance to mix with your social group. Since you don't want to date her, that would be the easiest thing to do. She may even decide never to go to one, since you 'didn't' invite her to that one.

Problems with the English language
The fact that English is androcentric is a problem. For instance, try to think of how many derogatory words you can think of for men, and then women. It's highly unlikely that you know more derogatory words for men than women. Political correctness is attempting to fix this issue (for instance, 'humankind' rather than 'mankind', Police officer rather than policeman) but it can't fix the entire problem. It even extends into racism - there are less derogatory words for white people than black people (please note that I am not encouraging sexism or racism, merely pointing out the fact that it is a problem with the English language that needs to be remedied).

"I want a girlfriend/boyfriend", and other such relationship advice
Okay then, that doesn't sound too bad. Leave it a week or two, then talk to her and explain that it was more interest to see if anything could happen between you two, rather than a deep lust. That way, you wont appear needy or tied to her emotionally. Definitely don't try to start something again with her.

"I want a girlfriend/boyfriend", and other such relationship advice
Depends. How gushy were you in explaining your emotions? i.e. was it: 'I've felt like I've been in love with you forever, everytime I see you, my heart beats faster, I love you like the Earth needs the moon' or more like: 'I have feelings for you with transcend friendship' If it's the first one, I wish you luck talking to her. If it's the second one, just don't say anything that might indicate you still feel the same way about her. If you don't at least ACT like you've moved on, then she isn't going to want to hang around with you anymore, because she will assume that you're still lusting after her in your head. Which, you may be, but don't make it obvious. I guess what I'm trying to say is: TRY TO MOVE ON MENTALLY

Woox16 advertised on the main rs page
He's like 15 years old isn't he? When he quit I stopped caring, and haven't started now that Jagex is blowing his trumpet. Only reason Jagex did this is to give Woox a bigger e-peen (not that he needs an ego boost). I find it ridiculous and sad in equal measure.

Remove offenses that are dated over 2 years
I have worked on Tip.It as a moderator, and I think that it is better that a log be kept of all offences - whether 10 years ago or today they are still relevant. Tip.It mods consider action based on previous warnings, so if one was given 10 years for the same thing, it would pretty much be ignored, but if it was given a few months ago, that'd be a different story. I just realised I sound like I'm still a moderator. Ha. But realistically, I think it is unlikely to be implemented for the reason above.

"I want a girlfriend/boyfriend", and other such relationship advice
Well, 'space' in relationships isn't a pre-defined thing, which makes it hard to advise people on. My general view is that reducing how often and how full on you are when you communicate (except when face to face) is a good way to give the space a person needs - they wont feel tied down to respond to you as soon as possible. Of course, you also need to give them the space to do what they want to do. So let her do her own thing - but, and this is a must - don't act uninterested, because that will kill the relationship. Realistically, it's hard for me to give examples, since I don't know the kind of things you say to each other, but as a guideline: 'Hey babe just wanted to see if you've woken up and if you are up how are you omg I love you so much xxxxxxxx' = bad 'Hello love :) Just texting to see how you're doing today x' = good Again, I'm not saying that you communicate like in the bad example, because I'm sure you don't, but it's the easiest way for me to describe what I'm talking about.

Being a part of a community
A few quality posts per day is enough to build up a significant enough rapport to become 'respected' (obviously respect is earned over a longer period of time, but people will take you seriously after quality contributions). I don't generally post much these days, but I like to think that I post intelligent and thought out things. Even if the community doesn't agree :P

I get unlimited (literally unlimited) texts for £5 per month. Pretty good deal. Especially considering I send about 200 a day.
