"I want a girlfriend/boyfriend", and other such relationship advice
Anything that you can do together outside of the house (in public in general really) could be considered a date.

Both my sister and the runner up dux of my high school last year voted 1. I was dissapointed. Not enough brackets period, even with pemdas/bodmas/what have you. Seriously, take it from a math minor, there's not enough brackets to give a definitive answer. Then again, after doing some higher level math stuff, you tend to overthink things anyway. I agree that there are not enough brackets, but using PEDMAS & BODMAS, we're taught that Division & Multiplication are both equal (same with Subtraction and Addition). In this case, it makes the equation go from left to right, in which case the answer is 9.

Today...
Got woken up at 3:30 am by one of my housemates. No phone call or noise, except for a knock on the door, so I decided to ignore it, then I heard him talking over the phone. Then, 20 minutes later, while I'm trying to get some sleep, my other housemate turns up, walks in and starts a shouting match with my other housemate about 'Why didn't you get those women to come back here?' And aside from my splitting headache and massive rage, it's not the way I wanted to wake up. Po'ed

Had a successful day shopping with my housemate. Bought a Links of London bracelet that looks pretty amazing. EDIT: http://www.linksoflondon.com/online-shop/men/jewellery/12273-2012-friendship-bracelet-green-and-black

The middle finger
That's what the V sign is for. Meaning 'eff off' basically, as it would show that the archers had the fingers required to fire a bow.

Try Lyle & Scott for socks. Good quality. Expensive though, but you could use them for 'special occasions'.

External HDD
You can try Seagate's GoFlex drives. Are you looking to be able to take it everywhere? Because if so, you'll need a portable drive (unless you want to carry around a seperate power cable).

Thanks for that. Surprised at how well the muted pink works in that outfit.

Post all RS Screenshots, Videos, and Sounds here!
Going by an image that was posted a few pages ago, that's only $59,000. Barely enough for a decent sports car, let alone a Ferrari. And no, I am not encouraging RWT. Also, beginning constructions with co-ordinating conjunctions is a sin and I must be punished.

I'm trying to look kind of preppy, but I need to use jeans. So far I've gone for a medium blue straight cut pair of jeans (which sit nicely on top of my 'fashion trainers'. Like this, but in canvas and navy blue: http://www.mandmdirect.com/products-Fred-Perry-Mens-Oakfield-Pumps-Dark-Chocolate_FP1039.htm) I don't want to get a pair of chinos or trousers, as they would look quite out of place at my university. Really, I'm just trying to look more presentable. My top half consists of cardigans (light grey for pin stripe tops, Dark Grey for T-shirts, Navy for linen shirts and sky blue for oxfords & light t-shirts) and lighter tops, generally white. The choice of shirt/undershirt depends on the weather and whether it's a casual or formal event I'm going to. If it's going to be hot, I'll take a t-shirt, if it's medium or cold, I'll use a shirt. Accessories are just a white leather bracelet on my left arm and a brushed brown and silver brand detailed ring on my right ring finger. Any suggestions on how to improve it? Like, what type of jeans would go best. I'm not aiming to look very preppy, more presentable in any case. I'll try and get a photo of the outfit at some point (yes, it will be a mirror shot, and I apologise for this).

She didn't say no, she ignored you and never got back to you. That makes her the weak one. Of course, since these harpies have already had a head-start, most people will believe them. It takes courage and bravado to shake off things like this, even if it is pathetic and childish. Damage control is always a useful function, but you have to be quick to the game, otherwise it's going to be everywhere and going about it at that point makes it look like you have more to hide or are desperate.

Rushing it is also likely to make you more nervous, and that's not what you want.

Confidence isn't something you suddenly get overnight, it develops as you live your life. By doing this in the first place, you've proved that you have the confidence to do it. You should never think that you can't do something, only about when you're going to do it. Nothing is impossible, but for many people, what's holding them back is themselves. If she doesn't talk to you for a week about it, you may as well do what rpg said, since she will have demonstrated she has no interest. Doing so will also show and prove your confidence.

Firstly, calm down. You've got analysis paralysis, and it doesn't come off well. When making any interaction, just relax and be calm. If you're nervous, it'll be obvious, and it's very rarely (if ever) that women are attracted to nervous guys. Secondly, Don't add her on facebook now. Don't personally ask her again tomorrow. This will come across as obsession, and you don't want to look like a stalker or just generally obsessive (obsession turns into being clingy, and no-one wants that). Don't mention it again. If you do, you'll make it awkward for her, which she may again take as obsession. If you care about her, you'll try your damn best to not make it awkward at all. If she doesn't mention it at all, and is fine around you in general, then stick with that. Someone will have to say it, but you've hit a brick wall with this particular female. Best thing to do would be to cut your losses.

Is anyone else just completely disappointed with everyone?
[hide] lol yeah lets have those sorts of people mod h&a, after all it doesn't matter what game style they use. [/hide] I think PoorLepRecon meant that not everyone wants to do everything as efficient as possible all the time. I think people should be allowed to post advice, and that the original poster should decide on which bit of advice to take, so that the will be more comfortable with the method. Non-metagamers shouldn't flame metagamers and vice versa. Pretty simple really. If the metagaming forum does spring up on Tip.It, I do think that current mods who are into maximum efficiency (yes, mods) should be the ones to moderate.

Super moderators and Admins are the only people who can ban. Global & local moderators do not have this ability. Speaking as a user and not a moderator, I find the efficiency discussions very interesting. Whilst I do not play the most efficiently (which, I'm hoping to change) at the moment, I genuinely think that a 'metagaming' forum/sub-forum on Tip.It would be of great benefit. Both sides have made errors and wrongdoings, and it would be ignorant to suggest that either party made no mistakes. There is at least one other moderator who cares about efficiency, which the metagamers know. I do hope that both sides can get to an agreement, to at least keep the efficiency topics and guides here.

TIF is bit over-moderated
Everyone is allowed to have their view and opinion of a situation. Just because you don't agree with it doesn't make it wrong. Same goes if it was the other way around.

You wont regret buying them though :) Nothing worse than seeing something you want and not getting it (or not being able to afford it [sensibly or otherwise], as is often my case).

They look great :) @Jeff, these are the official colours chosen by the Pantone institute (they predict the season's colour for everything from web design to fashion) for Men in Spring 2011: http://www.pantone.co.uk/pages/Pantone/Pantone.aspx?pg=20807&ca=4 Not too sure about beeswax though. Only because I have never seen anyone pull it off successfully in an outfit. May work if you lean towards a preppy style (as a cardigan or jumper).

Jeff, it looks fine. The sweatshirt is a little big on you, but if as you say the small was too tight, then that is a better look. You don't want to look like you're 'trying to find a vein' when wearing it, and it looks more casual. On a different topic, I've noticed that I've become a bit of a colour fascist, in that to my eyes, if lighter colours are used lower down than darker colours, it just looks wrong to me. For instance, picture in your head a man wearing a plain black t-shirt and white jeans, then imagine the same, but white t-shirt and black jeans. To me, the latter looks better. Not exactly sure why I've suddenly developed this preference.
